That wheel on a staff on the crane train car is indeed a "hand brake." It's used just as an emergency (parking) brake is used in an automobile. It keeps the car from rolling away when it is "parked" alone or with a few other cars and the normal train brake system is off. Thanks for taking the time to look at that construction train, as some of us enjoy seeing the intrastructure that is not part of revenue operations. Cheers from Wisconsin!

anyways, take the (Q) to Canal St and then take the (R) to 42nd St. Take the shuttle to Grand central and ride the (4) to Yankee Stadium. You're gonna walk up and you can explore Joyce Kilmer Park and Bx museum of arts

I actually got a pretty neat Suggestion
You start out at Jamaica Center on Tuesday (September 20th) and take the Z train, the first Morning Z and this Z is special since it's the first Z in like 3 months. Anyways you take that to Fulton St. Then take the 2 or 3 to Chambers St and then take the 5 train to Rector, yes. The 5 to Rector. If you want you can check the website cause they still running then via 7th Avenue until Oct 14.
After you get off your gonna want to take the 1 to South Ferry for the R train and take that to Atlantic. Then your gonna wanna take either the N or D to Coney Island and then take the Q train to Brighton Beach and that will be where the trip ends.
Simplified Version:
(Z):Jamaica-Fulton St
(2/3) Fulton St-Chambers St
(5) Chamber St-Rector St
(1) Rector St-South Ferry
(R) Whitehall St-Atlantic Ave
(D/N) Atlantic Ave-Coney Island
(Q) Coney Island-Brighton Beach
