    Update edit: To make a more positive statement - there is a peace and reconciliation process needed between Indian and Black people. While there are good relations in pockets, there is enough discord to warrant some action on this. Earlier comment: Indian and East Asian people are not black people. Why then are we only asking for leaders to consider black and LGBTQ groups? I’m uncomfortable having these convos with black people. Their struggle is different and while they successfully recruit Indians and others to their power rise, they do not support Indians in our increasing struggle against ethnic hate - which comes equally from blacks and gay people as from whites. Our struggle is very complex and I’m not sure what our power and our rise will look like yet.
