You've saved my life! Thank you so much. 😉
Wow! Thanks for the useful points on the software!
Exactly the info I needed, quickly and clearly explained… thank you!
Glad it helped!
Great video! What if I need the header to not appear on the 1st page?
What I am looking for is a way to make the header side to side printable without any margin top left and right, or just 0.5cms. Pages does not allow me to reset the header and footer container for margin left and right equal to zero. Just international business letter standards? Mostly especially for the footer where I have a different background color, should I use maybe place holders?
Thanks!
Bro! Your pages Header video is exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks for the feedback! 😊
Thanks, good job
A Big Thank You 💟

Thanks for watching!
Thank you for concise instructions!
Glad it was helpful!
Is there any way to remove the header and page number from the first page only? I've been trying to figure it out for hours and I can't!
That's a great question! Once you created your document and set up the header/footer in Pages, you can follow these steps to remove the header/footer from the first page:
1. Switch from 'Format' to 'Document' by clicking on the small page icon at the upper right corner, above the + sign
2. Click on the 'Section' tab
3. Under 'Headers & Footers', make sure that 'Hide on the first page of section' is checked
I hope this answers your question
Thank you for your reply. Your remedy works well. There are many things to learn about tables. I hope that you will make more tutorials.
Thank you, I will
thank you
Thanks for watching!
This tutorial is very helpful. I would like to have a header with text and a company logo inset, a dividing line underneath. Under the header, a Table with the header row of the Table and successive rows, repeating on following pages. This is creating a template for company expenses. Is it possible to have both components (Title / logo header box & table) repeat? Page numbering also required at the bottom right.
Thanks for the feedback! To include the table in the header I recommend to do the following before grouping. Select the table, go to "Arrange" tab on the right, under "Text Wrap", select "None" from the drop-down menu. This way you can move the table around freely. From here, the process explained in the video should work. I hope this helps.
is there a way to let the header only in the first page? I found the "hide on first page" but I need the opposite :(
Interesting question! Right after you created your 1st page and set up its header/footer, you should make a new section (as explained in this video) without setting up any header for it. In other words, headers/footers apply to the entire section. If you want to change them from one page to another, you should create a new section. Hopefully this answers your question.
@@eJoyAcademy wow thank you so much!
@@eJoyAcademy Could you perhaps explain it again? I don't understand how I do this... :(
Can I do the same when I want to put table in the headers?
It is possible! However, after making the table you may want to go to Format>Arrange and under TextWrap select None. This way you can freely move the table to the desired position in the header section. Then follow the steps explained in the video.
what version you use of pages in this vedio?
Hi @hemantmeena-mc5oe. Considering the uploading date (11/2020) and assuming I always use the latest version, it should be version 10.2 [for version history see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pages_(word_processor)]
How I do the same with numbers app?
Hi Ahmeh! As far as I know, there is no similar method for doing that... but I can think of two tricks; (1) Add to the number of 'Header Rows' by going 'Table' under 'Format' from the right pane in Numbers. The added header row can be used as your page header (Note that 'Header Row' in Numbers can be repeated on every page). Then you can insert your customized header into the first 'Header Row' (assuming you had one 'Header Row' before adding this one) (2) Alternatively, you can insert your chart/table into the Pages and use the method explained in this video to add your customized header. I hope this helps.

1st option i did already but doesn't show the photos only show the text
2nd is difficult because every time i have to do that in need to print it directly
@@ARABARCHERYTV I am not sure how you implemented the first method. I used it with no issue. I created my custom header as explained in this video (grouping text box, photo, ...), then I cut the grouped objects and pasted them into the top header row. I was able to see my header on all pages in print preview. I am using version 11.2.
@@eJoyAcademy try to use photo from computer not from the app
I do what you do exactly but with my own logo
Acceleration is set way too fast. Impossible to follow how selections are made.
Hmm. That is not customisation of headers or footers. You may as well have removed the header for this small addition of text.
By listening to your accent, it seems your native language is Persian.👍
