  • Today's video is part 1 of 2...or maybe 3. I haven't decided yet! I talk a bit about where I articled, what kinds of assignments I did and how much articling students make. Enjoy!
In my next video I'll be talking about what challenges I faced during articling and what I learned from it. And probably more stuff that I haven't figured out yet! You don't want to miss it, so make sure to subscribe to my channel and turn on notifications!
If you have any more questions about articling, comment below or DM me on Instagram and I'll answer in the next video(s).

Honestly love all the uploads. I'm in high school, looking to go into law, and these videos really help put into perspective about what life would be like following high school, and undergrad.

Loved this video Lynnea!! Would you be able to make a separate video on prior work experience for articling? I'd love to hear more about the types of skills needed to be successful in articling that can be acquired through non-legal work/job experiences. Also it would so great if you could share how your prior work experience that's not law related has enabled you to be successful in articling.

Congratulations Lynnea on getting your lawyer’s license! That’s a great accomplishment! I’m glad to see you back making UA-cam videos. Do you know what area within lawyering you want to go into?

Happy you are back! Make more videos on what you will be doing now as an attorney and what has changed and what are your goals now and where you are day to day basis, also you should make a video on how your life has changed now that you are not in law school and you should do more vlogs of your everyday outings and what your work days look like now morning to night. I also like your week vlogs as well! You are the incredibly inspiring 💕✨

Congrats on your license! I also finished my training period, which is two years, and got licensed in Jordan. It's a hard period for all law graduates but the most important period of our lives, as future lawyers, so our decisions should be well studied and articulated, so we can get the best results at the end of it all.
Good luck on your career! 👍
And sry for not following on Instagram, fb, or any other social media platforms. Don't have but UA-cam. 😅😬

Hey Lynnea, I think your channel's great! I was wondering if you had a comment on the discussion that there are too many law students and not enough articling positions?

I'm 14 and want to become a lawyer when I'm older! Can you please make a video about what I can do throughout highschool to help me when I'm older! Thanks (love your vids btw)!

I'm a paralegal student in Ontario (here, paralegals may represent clients and take on cases on their own, just like a lawyer, except our scope of practice is limited). I'm completing an internship at a law firm, and multiple lawyers have been giving me work similar to yours - case law research, writing memos, drafting applications, etc. The problem is, I'm 1 intern completing work for 5 different lawyers and I am under so much stress. I have significantly less education than a typical law student, since I have an undergraduate degree and a paralegal diploma, and yet I'm doing the same work that a lawyer does. This will certainly help me when I decide to go to law school, but I am so overloaded. I've been coming home only to do more case law research, and I've been working overtime.
I've been trying to find videos of people who have the same experience as mine. Trying to figure out how to manage all the work when different lawyers keep piling work on you.

    1. Just anxious to know that if I do LLM in Canadian common law because I am an International Student are the chances of getting articleship high as compared to a student who has done JD or its at Par ?
    2. And how difficult are the bar exams ?
    3. Toronto v/s Windsor v/s Ottawa how difficult or easy it’s to find legal articleship?

As someone who is not in law school yet, is there anything you would recommend me for gaining experience if it’s even possible?
    Thank you

You could try working at a law firm or volunteering at one. That will give you some idea of what the day to day practice of law looks like.
