    I hope you enjoyed the job this past summer. I love your positivity and confidence. This talk can mostly apply to job-hunting in general too. I am currently unemployed and have been trying to find a new job that interests me, so I’m trying hard to keep this same attitude and positivity.

I feel like the world is falling apart and i dont know how to keep going, i will continue to be positive in this time where my grades are not getting better and im not getting a job and things will work out eventually. Hi! I've just recently come across your videos, so I'm sorry if you've already answered this question, but I was wondering when you were prepping for the LSAT how did you familiarize yourself with the games and the rules apart from constantly doing practice tests? I've ordered a bunch of practice tests and I'm just waiting for them to come in, but I'm not sure what else I can be doing while I wait for them!

    • @lynnea4782
      @lynnea4782  7 років тому

      I think practice questions are probably the best way to study the games. I know that's not very helpful, but I think it's true! Best of luck :)

    Hi! I just want to thank you so much for your videos. I unlike many law students I'm sure have decided in my last year of undergrad that I might want to go to Law school. Like any organized responsible student I wanted to do as much research as I could to see if it would be a good fit for me. I went to UA-cam of course among other things as I wanted to hear from actual Law students what I can expect, are the myths true, is this something I really want to pursue, and most importantly can I accomplish these goals. What I love about your videos is that your like me, your a smart woman obviously but your not perfect, you don't have it all together lol your normal!! You work hard and you try your best and some days you fall short and don't do everything you were supposed to do or complete every goal you wanted in the day but you are still successful and doing "ok" (your words). My biggest fear about going to Law school is that although I'm intelligent (not neurosurgeon smart) or slightly above average I won't be successful in Law school or be able to handle the work. But I'm sure many L1 students go into Law school with that fear, you will never know until you start and take on the work. I love that you are normal and getting through and I get a real account of what to expect and know that as long as I do my absolute best and stay on top of the majority of the work I will be ok and get through. I will fail some days and I won't get all my reading done but I will be ok. So thank you so much. By watching your videos I'm fairly certain I'm going to go. I'm in the states (Tampa Florida) so some of your processes won't be the same but I feel more prepared about the steps I need to take and the amount of research I should do to find a school and get prepared for the dreaded LSAT. It looks like if all goes well I will be a L1 in 2019. One question I do have if you could mention it in one of your future videos is "Does the Law school ranking really matter" obviously if I were to get into an Ivy League school I would be set apart but since I'm a normal person and will most likely go to a normal school how much should I pay attention to the rankings? Tier 1-Tier2 etc. There is actually a popular well known Law school in Tampa Fl called Stetson University, when I looked it up in the rankings it was like 98th. This was surprising to me. So again, how much should rankings be a part of my decision assuming I do well and actually get into Law school! Thank you so much again. Your videos may have assisted in setting a new path for my life❤️

    • @lynnea4782
      @lynnea4782  7 років тому

      Well, first I want to say thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment on my videos. I am so glad I can help you in any way :) And you're right, I think every person worries that they aren't smart enough or won't be able to take on the workload in law school, so you're not alone. As for the school ranking, I have wondered that myself, but I don't think it matters that much. I have met some people who think it is very important, but I personally don't care. I think it's more important that you find a school that offers the kind of environment you want to study in, and that it makes sense for you. For example, I chose not to apply to the most expensive schools in Canada because they're just too expensive, and I believed (and still do) that I could get an equivalent education at a less expensive school. And I've heard that it's better to be at the top of a lower ranking school than at the bottom of a higher ranking school. I'm not sure if that helps! I would focus on choosing the right school for you and don't worry about the ranking. I wish you all the best, and I'm sure you'll do wonderfully!! :)

    • @aimickelson9102
      @aimickelson9102 7 років тому +1

      annie lee In my experience as a law school grad, there is really no correlation between LSAT success and law school success. Yes those who scored below 150 continue to get low grades; however individuals who scored in the 170s were not necessarily at the top of their class.
      If you are somewhere in between 160 and 168 lsat, then you have a difficult decision ahead of you. You need to decide whether law school is worth IT. I will is worth it if you have (1) a technical degree; or (2) if you decision an extreme work ethic demonstrated.
      I hate to say it because my GPA was mediorce, but based on GPAs of collegues they are a better indicator than LSAT of how you do at a 3/4 tier school. I am only saying this because I know the pre-legal research game. Email via at this sn for more questions. I am more than happy to answer them.

    What can I say about Law School and saddling myself with $200k worth of debt????? DON'T DO IT!! LOL. Unless you have a strong and I mean a strong network of lawyers or employers before hand that work in the profession that can vouch for you and also have a firm that's looking to hiring you after you graduate Law School, it's sink or swim in this brutal job market called the Legal Profession. Summer Jobs and internships may give you a chance or make your resume look good but......, do not expect a big salary out of it that's going to offset your loan. You're going to be in for a rude awakening. It's an over-saturated market, so new Law graduates will not be expecting big salaries anytime soon.
