Pro Tools 101 - Getting Started with Audient iD

- Congratulations on the purchase of your Audient iD interface! Whether you got an iD4, an iD14, an iD24 or an iD44, this guide will help you to get started using Pro Tools.
The first things you will need to do are connecting the interface, installing the drivers - and then setting up Pro Tools in the best way to suit your needs. In this way, we talk through plugging in a microphone to verify that Pro Tools has a working input - then set up Pro Tools accordingly.
Next we set up monitoring - either through Pro Tools or through the iD low latency monitoring system - making sure that we don’t hear the same signal twice, which causes unwanted audio artefacts.

Congrats on the first video in your new job. 👍
Hopefully you'll get to do some testing across the Audient range with your Raspberry Pi 400 & can officially advise us all on the Linux compatibility & functionality 🤞
Yay Adam is here.🎉
Thanks! Love Audient!
well done video
3:45 You don’t have to create or open a project to be able to choose the playback engine. On the dashboard you can click „cancel“ and than „setup->playback engine“. It’s timesaving and can prevent unwanted complications, e.g. the default interface causes problems.
Heeey, I thought Adam was Reaper guy! 😜
Thanks Adam ! Anytrick regarding the headphones on PT on an audient id22 ? I can't have it monitor anything since it's output are 5-6 by default, which never caused problem on Cubase S1 or reaper. Even the cut dim and mono buttons aren't working
The CUT and DIM buttons only affect the monitors on iD22, not the headphones. If you want to feed the headphones directly from DAW 5+6 then you can set them to DAW THRU in the iD mixer's routing matrix. If you do need more help send us a message at support@audient.com
hey i purchased the id22 and i would like to record my son (he dont like to hear himself while recording) while i still hear him in the engineering room how would i do this?
In the iD mixer, you'd want to setup a CUE mix for your son. You can do this by clicking on the CUE A or CUE B buttons and then pulling up the faders for the channels your son wants to hear in his headphones, (such as the backing track from a DAW). Then in the System panel, simply assign the CUE mix to the headphone output. Then, you can monitor the microphone audio in the engineering room by just pulling up the faders for the Mic channels on the Main Mix.
Do stil using reaper i have to get a id44
This doesn't work for me.
Despite having downloaded everything, my pro tools does not recognise the existence of my Id4 in any meaningful capacity.
I can select ID4 in playback engine but I can't record on tracks because it doesn't recognise the ID4 as having any inputs or outputs.
I have attempted to go into the I/O setup to manually select the ID4s settings but they are not there.
What do?
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your unit.
If you haven't already, can you please send a message to support@audient.com along with details of your setup (OS, computer...etc) and our team can help you!
What version of pro tools is compatible with id 14 mk2
It should work with all versions of Pro Tools, up to the most current version.
@@Audientworld thank you for the information.
