- Taking my 2023 CB500X offroad for the first time along with a 2023 Ktm 500 Exc-F and a Wr250r. Temps we're over 100F with the heat index in florida the day we rode and as usual Ocala is nice and sandy to add to the difficulty.
Dropping in and all that bowl looks like it’s 2 foot deep on the GoPro. Those entries and exits were at a 45° angle and that thing was probably 20 feet deep. 😂
The sand trails literally look flat also, like totally no big deal lmao.
Excellent video thank you very much enjoyed that❤❤
Thanks for watching!
@@AdventureBert you want a lab I have tried to do that same thing you done but there were signs everywhere no off-road vehicles no alcohol no dogs and no firearms that means I don't get to go I had all that and more and I didn't want to get arrested thank you again excellent job love your work and the bike I think is great and I am a motorcycle guy I've been riding motorcycles since 1966
Ocala has a ton of good riding spots, fortunately not everything is closed yet and we can still ride out there.
The GoPro always flattens everything out, that looks like a lot of fun for sure. CB500X is a lot of motorcycle to wrestle through that sand, I think you did a good job of it and never went down.
I was looking at the 500X, but went with KTM390 on account of the lower weight and spoked wheels that came on it this year. When I get it broke in and maybe some more dirt worthy tires I'll give Ocala a go.
Appreciate the compliment, this was on the Motoz Rallz front and rear they seem to do really well so far. I wouldn't have been able to do this on the stock tires with my limited riding capability 😂. Thanks for Watching!
The 390 is a beast like this bike so I bet it's a blast! Congrats on the bike!
@@AdventureBert I really never thought the KTM 390 Adventure would work on the trails you were riding, but after watching you ride the CB500X, I'd ride the sand. In Florida sand is inevitable and I must be able to cope with it.
Right now I'm getting used to the bike on the street and it is a blast.
The WR250 and 500EXC make it look easy.
Is this with the rallz tires
Yeah this was on the Motoz Rallz, I wouldn't have been able to ride out here with the stock tires and my limited riding capability 😅.
Picking up mine today - a barely used 2022. Did you install any skid plate/crash protection yet? I'm wondering if I really need it for riding fire roads. Great examples of what can be done on these bikes! I looked at the 390's but Honda won out on reliability for me.
I did the RallyRaid skidplate, T-Rex case savers and Barkbusters handguards. The Handguards you get 21 version and 2 10mm barkbuster bushings and they mount right up. I'm doing a new Video with all my mods soon. Enjoy the bike its amazing you will love it. I had a 2020 Ktm 690 and the reliability is a concern that I no longer have to worry about.
@@AdventureBert Thanks for the Barkbuster tip. I picked up the bike this afternoon and took it for a rip this evening. So far I love it. My Harley Forty Eight was beating the crap outta me. It' has less power than my other bike but I don't flog my bikes so it's fine. It handles like a dream. Man I used to live in Florida - high school and university at UCF. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada now. Hit me up if you ever go for a tour up here. Lots of amazing riding.
@ricardosalcedo2824 I grew up in Orlando, I'm an actual native lol. We used to go to Canada when I was a kid, My father was born in New Brunswick.
What tire pressures were you running in that sand? Street pressure or aired down?
I run them right at 30psi and didn't have them aired down.
I’m in Florida. Just traded in my 250L rally for a transalp. I ran my tires down to 10 psi in the sand.
I’ll probably do the same when I get some better tires for this one.
Nice vids. I’ve ridden ONF and my home turf is Richloam WMA.
@JustAnumbr The Motoz Rallz tires are really good on and offroad but pretty noisy. The stock CB500X tires are similar to the Transalp and they're pretty sketchy off road.
@JustAnumbr The Trans Alp is a sweet bike, congrats on it!
Thanks. I’m enjoying so far. Still breaking in. I’m gonna get used to her first before I start modding.
