    thank you for the upload. No one understands how much pain a wrestler suffers. Even a documentary can't do it justice. Hardest sport in the world!

    I liked what Cole Konrad had to say. It was so nice to get all my aggression and frustration out on the mat. That was about the only time I was really personally allowed to just tear people apart and let it all out, because the rest of the time I'm pretty damn kind and worry a lot about the well fare of others, but when I would get in that room I knew that anything other than apathy got you nowhere in a match, so I just got to kinda let it all go and feel no remorse, especially since no one else felt bad either.

    I wrestled Bobbe Lowe in High school. That guy was a beast. He just dominated me and left me wishing I had never walked out there. He is an amazing wrestler on his feet.

    If you think about it, the wrestlers most likely train the hardest in the UFC because of their mental toughness they bring from wrestling back in high school/college. Theyve literally got a huge advantage just from a training and mental aspect.

    @Pein0666 There's an old Iowa practice documentary which showed a whole lot more work than in this video. The part I remember most was a brutal session of stairs, followed by trash cans full of vomit. I'm not sure where to find that program at this point.

    Work ethic and determination are some of the skills one might gain during wrestling. For me those are the skills I gained. Being a coach would mean that you would need to know first aide and probably being a P.E teacher would help.

    honestly i love wrestling so much and i miss it everytime i watch videos like this . im still in highschool i just finished my 2nd year. ima junioe so i can still go one more year. but i think about it and my grades ALWAYS drop, i dont see where wrestling will help me in the future. (excpet mentally) and my real passions are graffiti art and skateboarding. but to anyone that starts wrestlign only wrestle if ur gonna give your 100% in it . cuz thats the only way your gonna get good.

  • @RepublicanNatio
    @RepublicanNatio 12 років тому

    Yeah, i think its just a common thing between fellow wrestlers to root for wrestlers in the UFC. Because we know they are tougher physically and more importantly mentally. We KNOW its cuz we experienced it ourselves. And of all the martial arts i definitely think its physically and mentally the toughest.

    running is such a disgusting way to lose weight. i remember running for 15 mins and losing .5lbs and it was pretty much stright muscle.if you dont have any carbs in your body and no fat. your body cant distinguish the diffrent between consumed protein and muscle. the best way youll ever loose weight is maby an underarmor and a tee shirt and maybe a sweatshirt and some live wrestling.

    maybe, but does any of those skills are the ones that make a diff? for example, career advancement?
    nothing against wrestlers, but i could never quite understand why most of them always seem to aim for becoming wrestling coach?
    never banking, medicine, law?
    esp when i see all those wrestlers who get to attend prestigious colleges like Connell ended up as wrestling coach, i mean nothing wrong with that , but still, they could aim higher

    • @jbauer140

      Jean Van Arpel maybe that’s their passion AND what they love. Not following societal norms, it’s like you saying, “ I want to be a dentist” so why not a neurologist, or surgeon. Believe me I was a wrestler all my life, if the shit hit the fan and I had a banker, lawyer, or a guy who wrestled all his life I’d pick the wrestler becAuse they always have a no quit no matter what attitude!

Maybe they should study some footage of Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair maybe they could learn something
