I have an iPhone 10s with the newer version app "Feiyu ON" through the Apple store, the Gimbal works beautifully and the frames are synced, and face and object recognition works. It doesn't crash and the Gimbal is a great product, it seems your choice of phone and Android app is the problem.
Yes, my choice of flagship phone (when the gimbal was released) and the app recommended in the manual that came with the product must be the problem. You realize this video is over a year old, right? At the time I made this video, the Feiyu ON app was not compatible with this gimbal, though several users have indicated very recently it's been updated, so I should check that out. The company made missteps at product launch and pushed out an incomplete Vicool app, that historical fact won't ever change - that doesn't mean they haven't already fixed these problems! So good on FeiyuTech. It's been over a year since I posted this video, so I would be very surprised if they hadn't fixed all of the issues present at launch by now. But keep in mind this is a point-in-time review, so would inevitably be out-of-date at some point. Looks like that day is here now. What you're really asking for, is for me to do an update video, with a new flagship phone with the newly improved app, which I would be very happy to do at some point.

I think it has something to do with the gyro calibration when used at steep angles. I think this is a flaw to the product's design/software and I don't know of a good fix for it other than to use the gimbal with the handle in a vertical or mostly vertical orientation, which I know is not always possible, especially if you want to get close to the ground.

Hm, I haven't encountered this error message before so this is just a guess. There may be several causes for this kind of error. The first is that the panaromic photo was taken too fast and the software was not able to capture enough frames to create a fully stitched image. It could also be that the camera did not turn smoothly in one direction, again, causing the software problems in determining how to join the frames. The last possibility is that your phone's processor is not powerful enough to take a large number of photos and run the stitching algorithm. The first two have easy solutions, just slow down and make sure the gimbal is moving evenly and at a level plane when rotating. The last issue though, would require you to try taking the panoramic photo with a better phone to see if the issue still occurs.
1:15 - mine came with various cables to charge phones. Also I've tried to use it twice and maybe user error but it certainly has a mind of its own spinning randomly. Not as straight forward as I would have thought...or is it just me?
Cool, I'm glad to see they're including more accessories in the latest packaging. What I've found is it performs best with a "middle weight" phone. That is, if the phone is too light or too heavy, towards the limits of the load capacity, it starts behaving unpredictably. It'll depend on the model phone you have and whether or not you keep the case on when using the gimbal. I generally have found better performance with motorized gimbals designed for mirrorless cameras using a smart phone adapter, for example the Zhiyun Crane V2: geni.us/rUlfAcf [Amazon Affiliate Product Link]. Again, though, you have to be careful that your phone setup isn't too light, but at least for that you can always add extra weight like a quick release plate to the rig.

I love it. It takes some getting use too, but so do most handheld grip gimbals. I love the extendable selfie stick. I was able to do a steady selfie video walking alongside my wife and it looked great. I love the extendable selfie stick because it allows for taking steady high angle and low angle videos with ease. It's light weight and built quality is good. Will definitely take it on vacations and travel trips.
Hello, I checked and I do not believe the is an external remote option available for the Vimble 2. You can only control the gimbal direction and positioning using the physical joystick on the handle. The Vicool app does not have controls for pan/tilt.

Hm, I'm not sure that this is a feature that is available in the Vicool app. If it was at some point, I don't think it is anymore. The only video function I have in the app is start and stop recording, which creates separate video files.
hi. what is the max weight this gimbal can carry? i am using galaxy note FE with a lens case and i want to attach the wide angle lens which will make it really bulky and slightly heavier.
I bought one and it came with connector to plug the phone to the gimbal. Also you can just use the phone's camera app and pair the gimbal via Bluetooth.

When connected via Bluetooth using the phone's native camera app you won't get all the features, like face tracking, zoom control, and the ability to alter the gimbal's settings like motor speed and power. The only way to get all the features is to connect over Bluetooth via the Vicool app. I'll have to see if there's an updated app version and try this one again when I get the chance. Right now I'm testing out the MOZA Mini-MI smartphone gimbal: geni.us/y8cYKc [Amazon Affiliate Product Link] I'll have that review up soon!

Right now, I don't know of a substitute app that's compatible with the gimbal :-/ at least for gimbal controls via the app. You can use any camera app with the gimbal, but you won't be able to change its settings or use on-screen controls (only the physical joystick controls).

Unfortunately I haven't found a good substitute app for it. I just have to keep hoping that they will fix the problems and make it better.

The mailbox is your e-mail address. Once you register your e-mail you should be able to open the app to access the Bluetooth connection menu.
