- In the second installment of Stephenie Meyers phenomenally successful TWILIGHT series, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as BELLA SWAN (Kristen Stewart) delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of-only to find herself in greater peril than ever before.
Following Bellas ill-fated 18th birthday party, EDWARD CULLEN (Robert Pattinson) and his family abandon the town of Forks, Washington, in an effort to protect her from the dangers inherent in their world. As the heartbroken Bella sleepwalks through her senior year of high school, numb and alone, she discovers Edwards image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. Her desire to be with him at any cost leads her to take greater and greater risks.
With the help of her childhood friend JACOB BLACK (Taylor Lautner), Bella refurbishes an old motorbike to carry her on her adventures. Bellas frozen heart is gradually thawed by her budding relationship with Jacob, a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe, who has a supernatural secret of his own.
When a chance encounter brings Bella face to face with a former nemesis, only the intervention of a pack of supernaturally large wolves saves her from a grisly fate, and the encounter makes it frighteningly clear that Bella is still in grave danger. In a race against the clock, Bella learns the secret of the Quileutes and Edwards true motivation for leaving her. This trailer is really well done and, yes, still watching the Twilight Saga in 2019! Got to them a little late, but I did get to watch Twilight in theaters last year for the 10th anniversary. Why these films get a bunch of hate is because of dudes and these films leaning on the feminine side. The films aren't top notch, but they are by no means bad. I've seen plenty of bad films a lot worse than the Twilight saga. An awesome female protagonist and the emotions are just so intense! Lot of people like this one the least, because it's so down tone and depressing, but I love it. You can feel the emotions Bella is going through. This one is really Bella's film. Can we rewind time to when these are in theaters ?!!!

I'd invent a time machine just to go back and watch these in theaters and so fangirl out. I was a different person at the time. I've come to love these movies too late, but loving them later is better than never. Getting to see Twilight in theaters though in a couple of months for the 10th anniversary event! The anticipation of seeing Edward and Bella on the big screen!

They showed the whole story. That "killing himself part" was supposed to be the book's suspense. The only suspense element.

Also, the worst book. I am not usually this critical but watching this after years reminded me of how it made me feel at the time. 2021 here. I remember this trailer when it first came out and thinking that the CGI was good for it’s time. It still is. Can’t believe it’s been almost 12 years.

I was a twilight skeptic until I watched the first movie just now. it was amazing. although the screenplay could have been better, it was flawlessly directed and I only just found out that it was directed by the same woman who directed my favourite movie Thirteen !
It saddens me that Catherine Hardwicke doesn't get to direct more movies than she has. She's such a great director and under appreciated.

It might’ve been low budget but it actually felt like the book coming to life flawlessly and the color palette being a very cool pale blue tone was brilliant

In the film, Bella leaves Jessica in front of the alley and accepts a ride on the man's motorcycle in an attempt to see Edward again.
The scene where a near-death Bella is sinking into the depths was achieved by putting weights in the actress's pockets and letting her sink in a swimming pool. Omg. That was amazing!! I was hyperventalating when he was saying goodbye to her. I can't let go, why does he have to leave. At first I blmaed Jasper for it, then Bella, but now I still don't see who is to blame. Probably no one... Anyways he would have left even if the whole "accident" didn't occur. Believe me, if you know Edward's character, as much as he doesn't want to, a reason to leave would be found. And it would probably be an even smaller prediciment than a paper cut.

lol, I thought that too (about the paper cut), but I was doing an English report and was super nervous, my hands were shaking, I dropped my papers, and bent down to pick them up. I got a paper cut, and let me tell you, there was blood everywhere! The whole class was freaking out, and honestly, I have no idea how, but my whole freaking hand was covered in blood......all from a freaking paper cut!
