This was so calming to watch. I love how real you were with us. There is something so nice about watching a woman just take care of her house with her dogs, rather than trying to put on the facade that a lot of youtubers do.

Totally crying about Teddy, but I think that’s a very selfless and caring decision that you made for Teddy. I am praying that he has years instead of months left to be your best friend. I think the way you're dealing with Teddy is really admirable. So many people hold on to their dogs for so much longer than they should and you can tell that the dog is uncomfortable and not living their best life.

My vet said animals seem to understand the cycle of life better than we do. We finally put our dog down after a year of being sick so I feel what you're going through right now. You seem like a very kind and thoughtful dog owner!

My biggest regret is selfishly keeping my cat alive longer than was fair to her. She had cancer and was in so much pain. I should not have let her suffer....

Blair, about Teddy and your choice, I had to make a similar decision for my cat last year and it was a tough decision. Ultimately, i decided same as you because I didn't want her to go through something like that and possibly not make it through anyway. When i made the decision and told my vet, he told me that i had done everything that I could have done for her at the time. Him saying that to me was so appeasing and so I'd say the same to you. You're doing everything you can for him and you're giving him the best life he can get.
I totally agree with you on treatment! We had to put our sweet girl down 3 weeks ago due to kidney failure. There isn't a time frame, unfortunately. Everything is just a band-aid for this type of disease. I hope you have plenty of time left with your boy!
I think you're making the best choices for Teddy. Poor guy, but also so great that you know about his illness so you can emotionally prepare, but also so that Teddy can get the not extreme intervention help that he needs.
Just stumbled across your channel for the first time in many years. It’s so great to see you are still making videos and are doing well! You taught me how to do my makeup growing up and it’s funny I still use the keychain wrist holder I got personalized from glitzyglam to this day!

The way you described not knowing how you could love anybody as much as him is a real thing. I didn’t know how I could love anyone as much as my son when I was pregnant with my second and your love literally multiplies in all the same ways. Idk how people could pick favorites
I admire the way you are approaching Teddy's care. I am an animal advocate and will do everything I can to save animals but when it's their time - I believe the best approach is to not let them suffer. It's incredibly selfless to put their needs before your emotional ones. You'll be an amazing mom some day! You and your sisters have such an amazing friendship/bond. It's great that you such an integral part of your nephews life! (YURIMA - korean pianist - HAHAHA, one of my favorites!)
My dog Juno just passed away recently of old age and it's been tough without her. I'm glad that you still have Teddy! I hope he stays around for a while

I happened to be finally changing out of pjs into "real clothes" today when I started this video, shaved my legs, and am putting a load of laundry in! I loved seeing the boys and hearing your therapy-fueled positive self talk about being proud of what you accomplish rather than always focusing on what hasn't been done! A good lesson to keep in mind

Your outlook on Teddy is incredible. Our cats have IBD and I always said I would let them go when they weren’t having a good quality of life and we were keeping them alive for us. They both had to have surgery to help them along and I hated not being able to explain that what we were doing would improve and prolong their lives xxx

Very few people might be able to think about what is best for the dog instead of letting your decision being affectet by the outlook of losing a friend (what I can totaly understand, too). My dog was diagnosed with kidney failure and lived another 5 or 6 months. Prayers that Teddy lives on healthier and happier for much much longer

I understand what you are going through with Teddy. I had to make that same decision for majority of my senior dogs when they got cancer. I just accepted the fact that I can't be selfish and let them suffer through the pain and all those hard treatments. Stay strong!
I love watching your videos. You're overall such a sweet girl! I'm a couple of years older than you, but see you as a role model at times. I love that you speak candidly about your mental health, and normalize things like taking medication and having attended therapy. Thanks for making videos!

Totally agree with you on your decision with Teddy. At the very basis on the whole situation you have to think: what will his quality of life be like? And if it’s not good; why put him through that. 😭 it’s hard when you come to that decision but you are doing what’s best for HIM. And not like you said, being selfish.

I totally understand where you are coming from with Teddy. Our family cat, Ozzy, suddenly was unable to use his back legs one day. It was obvious he was in a lot of pain and confused about what was going on. So, we talked to our vet, and he said that there was a small chance that we could do this lengthy treatment that MIGHT work, but we knew that he was older and he wouldn't understand. For something that MIGHT work, we wanted him to have a better quality of life without spending the rest of it in pain, so we made the tough decision to put him down. It was so hard, but it was so much easier to handle knowing that he only suffered for a tiny amount of time in comparison to the longterm treatment plan that may or may not work. Prayers for your sweet boy!

Nice job! I love how you said you are learning to appreciate and recognize the hard work you do and what you accomplish and not focus on what you have left to do. So important!
I had the exact same thing happen with mine but she progressed so quickly when I took her in she was at total failure. They offered the dialysis or transplant but when I heard the treatment after and how it wouldn’t necessarily prolong her life a significant time PLUS mine was almost 14 so her recovery would be so hard I made the decision to let her go. The vet told me when you have a pet parent who can put the dog before their own feelings is an amazing pet parent. So just remember that you are doing the best thing for him. 💜

I've watched Elle and Blair since I was 18 I'm 28 now and seeing how they have gone from living at college and at home to living in gorgeous apartments and to now living in cute family homes with babies etc is awesome for me to see how far both the girls have come and what a life they have lived so far and everything they have to come

I feel the same way about my sisters kids! I love them so much and I would do anything for them. I can’t imagine having my own kids and loving them like I love my nieces but of course...you’ll absolutely love your own child in a new and different way! 👶🏻🍼❤️

Enjoy your time with Teddy! I lost my 3 year old Yorkie-Poo :( apparently it was acute pancreatitis but I don’t believe it cause there was no change in his diet... the hardest time of my life, I miss him daily .. but I’m so grateful for the amazing 3 almost 4 years I’ve had him 💙

My 13 yr old shih tzu was diagnosed w kidney disease last year and and the subcutaneous fluids have made a world of a difference! He’s less lethargic and doesn’t wake up in the middle of the night to chug water anymore. The key is just making sure the water is pretty warm so it doesn’t make them sore the next day!
