Hey everyone! A few things to note - Apologies for the audio and video inconsistences, this video was done while change pc's - I played the game during Patch 3 (and all of my experiences have come from that) Hope you all enjoy! :)
Hello HiPopcarn i you have played this game in patch 3 it has really improved a lot from this dude you cant get angry and them bro im a hello neighbor 2 fan i can get why people would hate this game but now idk why ppl hate this game its reached an acceptable level now they have fixed the freezing in the latest patch being patch 6 the neighbors ai is 100% broken sure but they have improved others ai A LOT kieth is very fast the mayor is just omg too smart gerda is terrifying taxidermist has a ok ai but still if you played the latest updates you would realise this game is not something that should be hated anymore they are also adding the nueral network in future updates you need to do more research the game is very fun also they have added more lore exeploration also there is even a Matpat reference about the deal with the devil etc there is honestly no reason to hate the game anymore sorry about how long this is
Hey mate! Appreciate the comment but I disagree with you here. Every game that these developers release have way too many bugs and for the asking price of either 40 or 60 USD, that just isn’t good enough. I know I did mention the bugs a lot but you’ve forgotten to mention the puzzles (after day 2) and also I hated the taxidermist he was really annoying lol
The game isn't too bad anymore, and the reason they got rid of the neural networking AI was because if it learnt from every player, it would become too overpowered and would know every move. This would make new players quit fast because they wouldn't be able to beat the first level with an AI that smart. You should try the game now. We reached Patch 9 and the game fixed a lot of the bugs shown in this video.
You should react to the new hello neighbor 3 devlogs, the reason hn2 failed is bc it had lots of lead dev switches, but the og goat and creator of the game is back, and more experienced than ever. it looks like it'll have actually good AI and the characters go to work and stuff. I have hope for hn3 but if this one fails i might stop liking the franchise
I love how in the latest patch, the Mayor is now twice as fast with a new running animation. My guy just full-on bolts for you. Not to mention they fixed the freezing when the AI can catch you. Also, great video! Very much enjoyed it! But I would say that tinyBuild is now trying desperately to fix the game, as even the CEO was disappointed in the final game! However, it's a bit unfair to say that they don't care, as I find there to be a lot of passion put into this game. The visuals, animation and even music all show this.
I see where you are coming from. I wanna talk about a few things. -The management changed was most likely related to the ai being modified. As the earlier alphas which has totally different vision and vibe had a different management than the beta,demo, and the full release. - Speaking of the alphas, i think they actually were trying to give the community a bigger role, but i feel like the new management was like "scrap all that" and just try to remake hn1. -I do believe theres a lot of passion into this game, i think the music is great, the visuals is great. -Fortunately we are getting patches and so far they are mostly good, they are improving the game which is what they are supposed to do. -The game is underdelivering tho, the cliff hanger, the tons of unused content, like the story was kinda good. The taxidermist and the mayor house is a mess. I agree eith you, it has some visual hints but most of the puzzles u really need to pay attention to every single thing on the house. -I think the main reason people are sticking with HN is not because its hn, for example hello engineer. Me personally i am invested in the story and the potential. I do see where you are coming from tho. I hope tinybuild continues hello guest, or at least make a good game which is not puzzles. Edit: also the ai part was mostly advertised on the early alphas
Absolutely agree with you on most things said here! I believe the management change was done during the development process of HN2 and that’s why some features were removed. I also agree about the potential part but I’ve been waiting for the potential since alpha 1 and never gotten it delivered. Thanks for the comment!

Idk if its true but it says the reason hn2 alpha 2 was cancelled and why it changed was because while they were working on it,they realized it would be better to leave it as it was very unpolished. Nikita (original hn dev) then didnt like how Alexus portrayed the game, Alexus then makes lies to Alex (CEO) which sparks up controversy such as the neural network. And thats why it feels like the beta and alphas is very different. Apparently they are trying to fix Alexus's mistakes with the patches.
I recently played the game, and while I see why you don’t like it, I actually enjoyed it, but the Bird Man level was frustrating. Yes. The Bird Man (or the Guest) has a bigger role in the game now. I don’t think they should’ve waited until Halloween to add the new level, but I’m glad he’s an enemy now. However, the part that frustrated me was using wooden planks to parkour to the top of an abandoned church to make the bell drop through the floors. That part was really hard.
BATDR only had minor bugs on release that I didn’t even encounter in my 6-8 hour play through on launch. Compare that to Hello Neighbor 2 that’s asking double the price for a 4-6 hour play through and had many bugs even after patch 3.
Im sorry, but most games aren't, if ur standarts are that low it's because of companies like tinybuild and maybe ea, but I've played MANY good games that actually deliver on what they promise instead of lying to their fans, if u wanna support a company that doesn't give a sh*t about you and lies to you then do that.
Ya I know it's not as good but the patches inproved the game and have much more instored. If you want to have a second chance with this game watch patch 1 to 6 if not that your opinion.

I played during patch 3 and would be very surprised if they fixed everything I encountered 3 patches later. But if they have fixed all of that good on them!
Whats new: They added new puzzles and secerets around the map, new jumpscares, the taxedermist part is no longer a pain in the ass to complete, the game no longer breaks the more you play, the ai is alot better, alot more improvements and bug fixes and there will even be more characters in a future update, ray tracing, reanimated one of the cutscene, and catch animations for being found under a table or closet
I get what you’re saying but as I referenced during my conclusion, Phil’s stream was done during Patch 5 and they encountered several bugs in the finale alone and either way as I also said in my conclusion, $60 USD for that is insanely overpriced
Oh im talking about patch 6 not patch 5 And the $60 USD is bullsh*t because thats the worst thing about the game Patch 6 did all the stuff mentioned in my list above
i know the developers they are really good guys it is not their fault it is fault cuz nikita left and a new guy was in charge he canceled most of the cool stuff put day one dlc inside made it overpriced and forced erie guest studios to release it unfinished but now nikita came back and realized that that hello neighbor 2 sucked and started working on hello neighbor 3 as means to make an actually good game out of his pasion for game dev
I’m sorry but you can’t just come to that conclusion. Nikita was in charge of Hello Neighbor 1 and Hide and Seek which were disasters on release. Also when “a new guy is in charge” everything doesn’t just change and all of sudden it’s all his fault, the day one dlc’s, overprice and forced release came from Tiny Build who are still overseeing Hello Neighbor 3 and won’t allow anything to do with the franchise be a “passion project for game dev”. So unfortunately mate, you are just falling for the same tricks they pull on us every time and I won’t believe to I see it. (Just to clarify: I really want Hello Neighbor 3 to be good, but the chances of that aren’t likely at all)
After following the games development since hello guest release I agree with more than what you say, I despise this company now, waiting years obsessing over the game they promised just to be lied to, never trust tinybuild ever again.

@@HiPopcarn I do agree that the prices are absurd but at least the alphas are free. If they put Hello Neighbor Alpha 1 for 50 dollars I would be mad.
