3 jack stands with a piece of wood on each to protect the hull. One at each transom corner and one under the keel toward the front. If you want to pull the trailer out, use a jack and wood block to 'hop scotch' with the front jack stand as you clear the trailer's crossmembers. Another option is to prep the boards, launch the boat, and replace the bunks in the parking lot while the boat is on the free dock.
Thanks! I had thought about preparing everything and taking it to a boat ramp and doing it there but all of the ramps in my area are not free and they frown upon that sort of thing. I certainly need to invest in some stands if I do this again.
