They all come from china and they all have issues with sealing. Doing this procedure should be done anytime you buy new aftermarket housings.

Back in the old days we had sealed beam glass head lights.
They burned out every few years and you just replaced them for about $15 bucks.
    No leaking, no yellowing etc.
Now we have advanced technology and everything sucks.

Hey man I was going to ask you about your demon eye switchback on your projectors. Can you have the color on while the actual HID is on or does your HID have to be off to be able to see the color on the switchback. I'm asking because my truck has daytime runners and Id have to do some rewiring if there can't be another light on for the colored leds to be visible.

    • @Tacomaholic

Hey buddy, I always get the terminology wrong but I think the demon eye is where the light is on the inside of the projector lens. The ones I have light up a halo around the projector lens.

I live in the desert mountains, we don't have humidity or corrosion problems...The silicon packets won't make the water disappear and they will only absorb so much, so you might have to check them once in a while....Hope your neighbors don't open their doors on your truck, Sardineville...I know you have sliders but some doors are still high enough to hit your paint (wrap)...You took your eyelids off.

    • @Tacomaholic

I would leave them black, it gives your truck added texture and not just a smooth look...I am surprised you don't have a dash mat or seat covers...I took the bottoms of the back seat out of my truck for more room for my gear and dogs when I drive to Alaska...I would like to find some kind of storage box that would fit across the back where the seats were bolted...The back of the seats I protect so my dogs can go between the cab and my camper shell with the windows open...I like your rack but I have a camper shell on my bed...I have 3 rotopax mounted to the front of the bed (water, fire starting and storage), a shovel and Fiskars Splitting Ax like yours mounted to the liner and a DeeZee box with some of my other gear in it...I ordered a bracket like you have for your ditch lights but I think I want to put a cb antenna on it...I am glad I found your channel I have added some of the smaller mods from your videos to my truck but won't be adding lights, electrical, lifts and armor to my truck because I don't know what kind of shape it will be in when I get back from Prudhoe Bay.

Looking at the date of this video, my suggestion is probably a day late and a dollar short, but, when one is wanting to smooth out silicon, wetting your finger makes a smoother finish, AND keeps the stuff from sticking to your skin so much.
