Today I thought I'd do a check-in style video where I show you bits of my day as an anesthesiologist on Labor and Delivery deck. I cannot show patients, operating rooms, or procedures because I need to protect my workplace and my patients. But nonetheless I hope you found some of this interesting! Normal vlog to follow!

ALSO, can we just admire the fact that she’s a Mommy to a gorgeous baby girl, a Doctor who has a successful UA-cam channel, has a super sweet hubby who shares the same career AND she looks fabulous doin it all? This woman is amazing!
And then there are youtubers who barely upload because they're "too busy". SMH
She's so inspiring
Lilly Rose omg forreal! They'll post like one video every 2 weeks. Prob too busy taking pictures for Instagram 🙄
It’s called perfection like wow!! That’s literally the definition of a very busy life yet she’s making it look easy. Being a doctor requires so much intelligence and hard work, it’s underestimated sometimes hjkkhhkiytffgdsawetgg I respect doctors, good doctors, the most tbh. Having a man (+ kid), a great job n making cash, like wow goals
Goooals
As a highschool student who’s dream is to be an anesthesiologist, I can say that you are such an inspiration.
I’m also a high school student who’s dream is to become an anesthesiologist! ❤️
Chase same here!
Same here ❤️

I'm a medical student and i really really want to be an anesthesiologist. U really inspired me❤
How many degrees do you have and how long will you stay in medical school?
you just want them moneis dont lie
jk i want money too lol thats why i want to be an anesthesiologist
but not only cuz of that but bcuz its interesting!
@@moncrow2172 med school is 4 years long but then you do residency & stuff to become a doctor. You then later specialize in anethesiology.
anonymous anonymous medical school is 4 years and then you are a doctor. Then you do residency for anesthesiology which is usually 4 years
@@DELISMA3 fr?? I thought you have to do residency for doctor. Lol nvm then
Can you do more videos about your anesthesiologist experiences and tips? I'm really interested in anesthesiology but I want to make sure that it's something I'm ready to commit to.
emily caldwell Same here
i had a c section last month and had a spinal.. my operation and anesthesia was so smooth!! so much respect for all that you do ❤️❤️❤️
Janelle Estep same here! I had my c-section roughly 2 weeks ago and the anesthesiologist who gave me my epidural was amazing and it didn’t hurt at all. I was very grateful ❤️ respect for all the people who work in the hospital!
JANELLE OMG CONGRATULATIONS!
Janelle Estep damn lucky!! I just had an epidural last month for my baby and the DR put it in and took it out 4 times because he couldn’t get it right, I’m not saying the job is easy but I was in so much pain!!! Also, congratulations :)
I have so much respect for you! I’ve had many, many experiences with Anesthesiologists and good ones really make the surgery/procedure SO much easier. Thank you for having such a caring heart for your patients!
Thanks for taking us along! I can totally imagine that you’re a pleasant appearance when you pop into the patient’s room for the first time: very warm and friendly, but still professional and no BS. More of those vids please! And also maybe disclose how you deal with different emotions that hit you at work...how you process. 😘😘😘
I'm about to go to high school, and I really want to study to become an anesthesiologist. Thanks for showing us your life!
Brigitte Pollet me too! I’m in high school and I even created my own channel vlogging my path to becoming a doctor!!!
Same!
The fact that you are about to go to high school and know what you wanna do makes me so jealous
Brigitte Pollet omg i’m a freshman who’s dream is to become an anesthesiologist!! also i wish you the best of luck in high school!!
I think being an anesthesiologist is so interesting! Thank you for sharing. I hope that patient is doing alright! My last c section in September went so smooth and quick and my anesthesiologist was so chill. She didn't care that I screamed a little (cause I'm a big baby!) And she also let me listen to Beyoncé the whole procedure so I could feel a little less nervous. It was awesome!
I'm so glad you get to do what you love and have someone to care for your baby while your out helping people! Yet you still find time to pump for sweet baby Harper. Pumping is such hard work. You're a super mom!!
Also happy bday to HB! 🎉👏🏻
Loved this! Your face throughout told the whole story - your joy at taking care of patients while simultaneously missing Harper... But you are showing her that women can do/be whatever they want! Your happiness and fulfillment will affect her positively! xo
Kristina--This last week an anesthesiologist was my hero!!! My husband went in for a somewhat routine cyst removal on his right wrist.....and did fine through the surgery, but during the recovery...his BP went low and his heart rate tanked to 20--and they had to give him medication and the anesthesiologist was the one who came and talked to us and explained what all had happened and told us he might need a pacemaker...which did happen. That doctor (anesthesiologist) was wonderful at helping us understand...the cardiologist was more difficult to understand (English wasn't his first language)---and we ended up having him be the anesthesiologist on both procedures! So a big shout out to you and all other anesthesiologists!!!!!! XOXO~~Karen
You’re awesome, Kristina! Doing it all, but being real doing it. I think everyone can really appreciate that these days! 💕
Love this one! My dad just had surgery and was a cardiac risk. His anesthesiologist took extra time reviewing his chart and took extra precautions during surgery. Happy to say it went well and he's rocking his new hip! You health care workers are amazing from the surgeons to the cafe workers and everyone in between! 💖
This was so interesting!! Thanks for sharing Kristina!💕❤️
As a 2nd year med student, it is so awesome and refreshing to see amazing and knowledgable physicians such as yourself doing a great job representing and putting on for all anesthesiologists and medical professionals in general! You have a new subscriber!
Kristina, you are one amazing woman! I completely applaud you for pumping with so much dedication, I am a stay-at-home Mom with 2 kids, one of whom is 6 months and I would NOT be BF her if I was working! So kudos to you for being awesome, smart, selfless and just all around inspiring. Keep kicking ass girl and HBD to HB! Lots of love from Leyla, a fellow Houstonian! ❤️
I’ve had 26 surgeries since ‘03 and let me just say how much your profession is appreciated❤️ It has to be so comforting to watch Harper from work. So cool
Heyyyy! This wasn't boring at all! I love that you love your job and love taking care of people. I had surgery last Oct and I had the best nursing care! It's not easy dealing with people when they're sick and scared. So thank you!!! ❤️
Thank-you SO much, Kristina, for sharing this part of your life with us! It is always fascinating to get a different perspective on the professionals we all interact with in our daily lives!
Thank you for letting us in on this part of your life. You are a great mom and a hard worker. Happy birthday to HB!
I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS IM SO EXCITED!!!!
Loved this video! I worked full time at a surgery hospital for over 15 yrs, but cut back to PRN when our twins were born. Seeing you in your work environment makes me miss the unique rhythm of the hospital environment.
Go girl! Love the work day vlog. I have to say I loved my anesthesiologist when I gave birth for the first time a couple months ago. I went into labor super fast after my water broke at home, dilated from 0-7cm in 3-4 hours. I almost missed my epidural window as the anesthesiologist was still in surgery!! He was awesome though, gave me a very light/walking epidural since my labor was going so fast, that warm feeling after it’s administered is such a relief. Cool thing is, I could still feel my legs and the contractions just a bit so I controlled my pushing, then after delivery was up and walking around about an hour later. I think the fact that he did such a good job with the epidural made my entire delivery experience really nice and amazing. The work that you do is so important and so technical - you really made an difference is someone’s life!! Harper will be so proud of you when she’s older.
Totally NOT boring watching you at work. So much respect for your education and training and all that you contribute in the health care field. Your patients are lucky to have such a caring specialist.❤️😀👍🇨🇦💋🌎
I love how your work bag coordinates with your scrubs! I too work in a hospital, I travel throughout many different units, I’ve been wanting to redo my work bag. I love how you could easily clean your bag too. I so wish they had this bag in a charcoal grey to coordinate with my scrub uniforms!
Kristina, you are my hero! Gorgeous mum, amazing doctor and my favourite UA-camr x
OMG !! I been waiting for this videos for years !!!! Thank you so much !!!!
Same here!
So insanely proud of you managing work and a new baby. I've done the same and I know it's not easy. You're doing an incredible job!
Thank you so much for making this video! I’m trying to start to decide on a speciality, and have been searching for as many “day in the life of...” videos as possible!
OMG!! I loved this i clicked so fast! Its so awesome to see this part of your life
Hats off to you Kristina!! So much respect for people working in the medical field
I love seeing you as a working mom! So relatable! Thanks for sharing
So much respect. My anesthesiologist I had during my csection with my twins was just amazing. He sat by my head the whole time and talked to me about everything... even the most random things. He was just trying to get my mind off of things and at the same time I’m sure motoring me in some way. He was just amazing and I don’t know if I could have been as calm without him there. My husband was there of course, but he almost passed out when he decided to stand and look over the curtain so he was no help lol 😂
OMG do more of these! I love hearing more about your profession!
Going to school to hopefully become an anesthesiologist!! I’m a junior in college about to take the mcat so wish me luckkkk and send prayers!!
Did u get into med school?
Big hugs to you. Having an amazing anesthesiologist when giving birth is vital. I had a horrible experience with my second baby. It took them an hour to administered my epidural, it wore off, and it was not a very good experience. Almost like they had no idea what they were doing. So, thank you for being so amazing at your job. Your job is truly important. :)
long time watcher, first time commenter :) I started watching you a few years ago after a random 'doctor + makeup' search. i love seeing this side of you. I know it is not feasible to do this sort of thing often, as a (possible, still deciding if i want to go back to school) future healthcare worker, I like seeing you talk about work
I want to become a lawyer, but I really appreciate that you are a woman who does it all! Work, family, brains and beauty! ❤️
Thank you for taking us on ur working day. Even though its not much, it was nice to see bits of what you do at the hospital 💖 And Happy Birthday HB!
Working pre op and pacu as a nurse, I can appreciate this video. Love our anesthesia team
So interesting...thank you for sharing this! Have a great weekend. Patty
YAY!!! Im so excited for this video! Happy Birthday, HB!!!!
Hi Kristina, Amazing video! Taking care of patients, pumping your milk for your baby girl, and you do it all with such glamour and style. Your make up at the beginning of the vlog looked really pretty. I hope your hubby had a Happy Birthday! Have a nice rest of the weekend and thanks so much for sharing a day in the life vlog.
Thank you for sharing this because I want to becoming a physician, and it looks impossible to have life outside of being a doctor, but you show that it is possible!! So thanks again! 💕
I wish everyone in the medical field was exactly like you :)
Loved this!! I always love when you share more about your profession ❤️
Love this video. Wish we could see more but I get why we can't. Side note- my 11year old son has to have surgery this Friday, for a hernia. One of the first things I asked was, when can I meet the anesthesiologist? It's because of your videos that I felt a little more informed & a little less terrified.
Hi Kristina! Love your videos, ALL OF THEM, but this one even more, I’m not in the medical field myself but a big part of my family is
, I grew up seeing all the effort, sacrifice, love and dedication that doctors and nurses put in what they do and I think that it’s something that everybody should appreciate because it’s HARD, and I just want to say thank you for sharing this! 🙏🏼 Much love to beautiful baby Harper, to your amazing husband ( who by the way has some serious good taste in music) for what I’ve seen/heard in your vlogs and to YOU, for being so real, so amazing and badass woman all around! ❤️
So excited to see you in action. Such an inspiration 💙 thanks for sharing!
Love your content! Thank you for giving those Mommas some comfort!!!!💜
Great video! You are such an impressive woman! I've watched your channel for years and it's not often we see the doctor side to you. That was fun! I have to say, you're so down to earth for being a physician!
Loved this vlog! You should totally do more of these!!
You are such an inspiration to me , I have just started working in Anesthesia department as a medical officer and I so much enjoy the work I do that I don’t even know when my shift is over. I am also a mother of 1 year old baby girl. Keep inspiring us always love you loads.
Such a fun watch. Loved hearing what your work day was like. As a kid I thought I might want to be an anaesthesiologist (not that I really knew what it was) so it’s fun to have a peek into what the day to day is like. Thanks. ❤️
Ahhh you are seriously incredible 😍 just found your channel and so grateful I did 🙏
I am a Master of Accountancy, currently studying for my CPA exam. I was between becoming a trauma surgeon or becoming an accountant. I chose accountancy for various reasons and opportunities that I could not let pass. I admire you and doctors in general very much. Thank you for all you do. I will become a doctor on my next life.
thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to post this video! it is very helpful :)

I enjoyed this! I'm a nurse so I found it very interesting. Wow you have to wait around more than I would have expected.
I love watching your videos especially since Anesthesia is the speciality I would like to go into. Even though we only get to see glimpses of your life but you really break the stereotype that you can’t be a Doctor and still have an outside life and enjoy other things.
So excited for this!! 😬
I loved this! Super interesting- you have an awesome (and important!) job!
I have been waiting for this for years! More more more!
Thanks for sharing, I ask you all the time lol. Great arrangement with hospital. Happy Birthday HB🎉
Kristina I really admire you. I work as a midwife and I know how hard it is to work in a hospital (I work for an NHS hospital in the UK). To pump and work and have a UA-cam channel and a baby is no easy task. You’re doing an amazing job 😊
This was wonderful! Loved seeing you in your daily work routine. As always, thank you fo sharing!
