Great video. There are not many videos on youtube about glass bottles so I appreciate this. I've gone down the rabbit hole on glass bottles, I am trying to get rid as plastic as well. So far I've tried Philip Avent, Nuk, and Evenflo glass bottles. Avents are one the most common bottles on the market. I have grown to dislike them. They have a weird shape and you have to insert the nipple into the ring in a specific configuration or else the vent won't work. This is really annoying to have to think about late at night. Another thing I don't like about them is that they recently changed the nipples and they do not flow as well as the older versions. The last problem with these bottles is that they have a weird shape. Nuks are great, I really like the way they feel in my hand. The only problem I have with them is that the nipple often collapses which is annoying. So far though I think this is best glass bottle that I have tried so far. By the way, the flat part of the nipple is meant to touch the baby's tongue. Evenflo bottles are nice because they are some of the cheapest glass bottles on the market. The Avents and Nuks are short and wide, which is nice for cleaning, however the Evenflo bottles are tall and narrow so you definitely need a bottle brush to clean them. It's interesting that you like Dr Browns, I have avoided those because the version with the green vent has too many parts to clean. Have you ever tried Mam bottles? I really like the plastic version and I want to try the glass version, but they are not easy to find in the US, and they are very expensive to buy online. As for silicone bottles, we use Comotomo. I think that these are probably the best baby bottles on the market for most people. They are easy to clean and they are not made of plastic. The biggest downside of them is that they don't fit in many diaper bag bottle holders and they can tip over easily when you put them down on a table.
With the Dr Brown I actually took out that green piece lol. I got annoyed with it and I didn't feel like it really did much. I haven't tried Evenflo, MAM, or the Avents. I do agree with the Nuks, I don't think I mentioned the nipple collpasing but I did have that issue as well. Which can make for a pissed off hangry baby lol. It's amazing how many bottles are on the market, but after I got the Boons I cut myself from trying anymore. Maybe if we have baby #2. :D
My 1st daughter loves the Dr brown bottles but after using each bottle within a month or two they all leaked sooo bad. I tried to switch her to a different one around 5 months and she refused. Shes 11 months now and still can't figure out other bottles or cups. I only went with them because I got so many in baby registry bags so I figured it was easy to stick with. My next is due in june though and I'm looking for something different. I also tossed the stems of the Dr browns off the bat, didn't trust cleaning them well enough.
Very helpful, thanks! First video I come across with actual user experiences for all of these bottles.

Just a question, are the lids/teet made out of micro plastics too?
