- In today's video, I travel down into the Hole. I've done very little in the hole before this, so it was fun to explore deep into a "new" zone. I was able to knock two birds out with one stone while here by killing Slizik the Mighty (from the solo artist challenge) and the Ghost of Kindle (for the epic quest). Both were tough, but got it done.
Its wild how I care more about EQ now then when it was in it's prime.
I appreciate the work done to make this game what it is. Back then, I didn't.
I'm really impressed with how well the character models and models for the mobs aged very well

I couldn't get a paci to land so I did another strategy:
You Can actually pull him without aggroing the others revenants. He is on a différent faction.
I targeted the Ghost and went on the stairs leading to him. There is a safe spot where you Can Park him.
Just calmed him till he Crit resist. With the Rod/GCD Blue effect, you Can see thru the walls when it work.
Dazzled , tash, and fetter him on that spot. Then I IVU and left the tower and went to that safe spot that you talk about, the ledge near Yael s pit.
There is just one golem pathing in and out the tower, I just waited him to leave.
When fetter fade, Ghost came and I dazzle and fetter him again outside the tower in that safe ledge.
Zumaik animation, hasted and torch. Cripple, forlon, weakened on Ghost.
Then a couple of Bedlam on pet, a couple of mezzes to interrupt his CH and an extra fetter cause he flees fast! Went down pretty easily.
Seems complicated but I think it is actually more simple that way. Cause those revenants have crazy MR. Like the golem, they just cant be CC.
oh nice! I knew she wouldn't add if you attacked the other ghosts, but didn't even think about doing it the reverse. That is way better than what I did here then. I honestly got super lucky not to get a crit resist on those in the room. They had crit restisted me on first cast the first couple attempts haha.
@@RektYou yeah, and one Crit resist means you HAVE to cap out.
One other little thing nice to Know for this quest if you are KOS
: you can jump from docks to Undead Tower and survive. Saves you a long trip :)
Hey @RektYou, I think it's worth noting that instead of trying to wiggle your way through the bottom left of the rock to get into the Hole, which you can sometimes get stuck on and drown, you can actually go through the opening on the top right of the rock, and you dont get stuck at all. If you're not grabbing a key, that's the much better way to wiggle through. Cheers!

Enjoying the first minute or so of this video with audio only is hilarious if you imagine it's somebody making a vlog moments before losing their v-card.
Weird, back in the day I just went into the hole by floating down the gigantic hole in the ground with levitate on, then zoning in. Never got a key.

Love seeing you post videos! 2 things about yael pit, if you can shrink yourself or are med/small you can jump and duck through one of the holes in the door and zone out. You can also drop directly beside undead tower from the left side of the wall. just dont be more than about 1/2 overweight otherwise you'll crater, esp as a clothie

Awesome videos. How do you swap spells so quickly? Sometimes you memorize spells without clicking the spell bar.
after you click on a spell in your book, you can press the associated # key for the spell bar. So if i want to put root at the top slot, i press 1 after i clicked it and it memorizes it in that spot. Very helpful for us enchanters for sure.
Hey man how did you make the aggro/dps/other bars? I know you made a new window, however what did you put in those filters? And what color changes did you make? Please let me know! Good content!
Make new chat windows, then right click to filter the text you want showing, then I just had to expirement in the options section of text color to get the right ones. Everything is pretty straight forward other than like Pet Speak I think it's called which was the pet dps numbers. It's great having it set up like this until your UI gets wiped and you have to redo it lol. Happened to me way too many times haha.

that's what I love about P99... you can take a few months off anytime and come right back to the magic haha.
That's everquest in general.
I don't get into the whole "I'm the the best player" crap. Especially on a game old as dirt. There is nothing to prove anymore.
It's gotten very roleplay friendly now compared to the days in its prime where the community was toxic. Fun but toxic.
Back then it was a rush to get the planes. Now I just drown in the lore. Stuff I ran past back then

I was able to paci the room but I cannot get a charm or mez to land on any of the undead even at level 60, 255charisma, tashed etc. Best bet is to paci, cap on crit resist, and summon animation for the kill when successful. Animation will do fine when she is slowed and out of mana.
how come the mobs don't come after you when you cast lull or whatever it's called on them. I haven't played in a while but my 55 shadowknight sometimes when it got resisted they would attack me. Is that determined by your charisma or something?
if the lull spell line gets crit resisted, they will aggro. The higher your charisma, the lower the chance of a crit resist happens. So, sometimes they do come
@@RektYou Thanks for the info. I noticed you can also pretty much walk on top of them after lulling them and they don't aggro that is so awesome.
@@Yizee each spell in the series has a different drop in their aggro range. the lowest lvl lull isn't that big, but the calm/pacify you can yes pretty much walk through them.

Alot of the dungeons aged well too graphics wise.
The only ugly side is the open wide areas... like the forrests and mountain areas. You gotta adjust your eyes with those zones lol
I was only level 50 and didnt have Collaboration spell yet. I found out that you can also Charm one of the Skeleton guards and say "keyz" to them to get the Paineel key.

One thing I noticed is ppl are taking the time to do the quests..half the players back then were buying armor sets and weapons with real money
Nobody gave a crap about them during the good ol days. Your lying if you said people actually took the time to figure the junk out....even if you did...it would take you forever to get some of the legendary loot because other guilds and players were camping the area or some shit.
It was really about "what zone is popular and let's go there and start a rampage" ... dozens of corpses everywhere.
I'm happy we like myself and others are actually showing a new love for EQ. There are a lot of things about this game that aged very well. The quests have some more lore in it and my dumb ass never took the time to care about it back it. I feel like my love for the game is greater now
