California Highway Patrol needs to work on having complete 360 degree visible lighting on their vehicles.

I agree, they’re too minimalistic when it comes to light setups.

The only way you wouldnt see those is if you were in a super low car and close up - technically the lightbars are visible from 360 at a distance, and also the lights on the pushbumper are visible from the side. They do that because they have done studies which showed that having too much lighting at night on the freeway attracts drunk drivers and results in fatalities. Local cops since they spend most of their time on the sidestreets seem to want to turn their units into christmas trees.

@@djovercutTHIS!! CHP are far too funded and well-researched as an agency to not have taken “360 visibility” lighting setups into account. As someone who regularly drives at night in California, I can tell you for certain that a single blue and amber lamp on the driver’s side of the light bar are plenty visible and non-distracting. There’s a reason the solid-red lamp is a VC reg and why CHP uses primarily red solid stages on the front of their vehicles. They know what works best and I for one don’t question their decision making regarding the studied behavior of CA drivers.

Bro, respectfully, show the oversized load next time, and mechanisms of the oversized trailer. We tuned in to see that. We already know what the highway patrol’s DOT units look like.

So, if military uses MRE ( MEALS READY TO EAT), and if the CHP'S decide to invest in a vehicle for drug enforcement, would the slang fo the vehicle be called( don't get ahead of me kids) a....ROACH COACH? I'm here all night, remember to tip your servers.
