@@chathammkm it's been a long time so can't remember if I could reach the foot rest under the inflight entertainment screen. Just avoid the aisle seats although the height of the seats isn't huge do you can see everyone's else's heads when seated upright.
I noticed Air France do the same but it's left on the seat. I try and avoid this with my partner having done this once. Cabin Crew forgot and so did we. Never saw it again despite trying.

Great question! According to the seat map 6A | 8A | 10A and 12 A are the best seats because they use up the space of two seats and therefore have a lot of privacy. If you re-watch the video we briefly mention and show this as we board... gutted we they were all gone. As these are popular or if you want to sit as close to the window as possible but still have privacy then 5K | 7K | 9K | 11K would be the next choice
Just booked the A340 from ZRH-JNB, this video makes me excited (business is a treat for us). Which seats would you recommend for a couple please? Currently booked in 5D&5G which were the only seats left in the mini-cabin.
You're of to a great start. The mini cabin is going to feel so private! Plus you get stick your head through briefly and see the First Class.. Which could be a mistake 😂 jealously is the devil. Personally unless you want to sit apart I think you've made a good choice seat wise. You both get a side table unlike the left hand side of the plane. Either way have a wonderful time. Not been to JNB. Are you connecting or Business? Not many go for tourism I gather but perhaps they are missing something. I quite enjoy exploring less popular cities.

@@liftoffandtravel to be fair, I’ve never flown Swiss business on Airbus, only on Boeing. But just based an feedback, Swiss Airbus planes seem quite old. Boeing are more recent, and rather well preserved, by personal experience. Looking forward to seeing their new Swiss Sense planes, though.
@@Cynim that makes a lot of sense I quickly googled it and amazingly the A340s are on average 20 years old! The 777s are closer to 7 😱. We did find a really good deal for January so we will be trying out their A340 First Class.... Subject to making the connections. They are very tight
Actually, the business class hard product is the same on the 777 and the 340, as these have been refurbished. However, the product on their 330s is quite old, as they have never been refurbished (with an average age of 14+ years)

We did manage to quickly check out the First Class and despite it's impending replacement it looks amazing so we are trying this in January. Will try and rush out the review for that one.
Flying Zurich to Miami on the worst airline ever, I can't believe I paid all this money for this, they truly believe someone can be on a plane like this...travel business for the first and definitely last time on this travesty of airline, no food, no water, no drinks on a 10 hours business class fly. Pathetic. I fly with my kids and they have to endure the most racist behavior from the fly attendants.

Coat hanger can be given to the flight attendant to hang your jacket up front

I have to say, the Swiss business class on the Boeing planes are much better than on the Airbus, IMHO.

That does seem like an unusually bad flight. There was no food, or drink at all in Business Class? Must be a lot more to this story.
