Dipnetting for Sockeye and King Salmon on the Copper River Chitina Alaska

Some footage from our 2022 trip with Alaska eXpeditions on the Copper River. We hit our limits in a little over 2 hours. Highly recommend going with this company and not risking it as we have done in the past on the "cliffs."
Even though, on our journey down from interior Alaska, the forecast was calling for heavy rains, we were lucky to experience some amazing weather and sunshine as we loaded the boat and headed south on the Copper River.
We netted some nice reds (sockeye) throughout the trip, and each household was able to bring in their allotted limit for sockeye and king for the season. It was a little work, but having the crew with us made things go quickly.
Looking forward to the upcoming season and hoping we can bring in another year's worth of healthy, sustainable fish for our tables.
