Amazing work!!!
this is amazing for reference and scale
Nice👍
Am I correct in understanding that Godzilla's beam effect doesn't work well with the Eevee renderer?"
Yes
Question: Can you make a tutorial video on how to make the spins pop out and glow pls?
I used drivers to do that. Check out the other comments because on one of them I replied explaining how I did it. There are plenty of tutorials out there that show a similar process which you can use to implement it for the spines!
If you want the model it’s on my Kofi store page: ko-fi.com/s/ed67d35012
I downloaded your godzilla model but IDK how to change the dorsal plates colour as shown in the video. Can you please tell me step by step as to how I should do it
You can find the custom properties in the armature tab, scroll down it’s at the bottom of the tab!
Click the armature, go to the armature tab, then scroll down, and you can find the custom properties there to adjust.
@@TC9 Ive tried that but for some reason I can't find it. I think I could need a full guide or maybe you could fix the model download or smth
Aweosme been trying to do the same thing but driver editor is super complicated and I just can't to get it working correctly.
I used this tutorial to help me make it: ua-cam.com/video/57VGk_7I69M/v-deo.htmlsi=28uMxHFUR6HRDd_f
Don’t know if that’ll help you but what I did was basically the thing in the tutorial but instead of rotation, I used y-location with a limit modifier, controlled by a separate main bone using transformation modifier, repeated it on every single dorsal plate, and then have the main bone control be controlled by the driver.😅
Thanks but I actualy managed to figure it out on my own after a while but still thanks for the video though can help me in the future.@@TC9
@@rebelion-ghost2311Oh that’s great! Glad you got it working!
Can you tell me how to make drivers

Hey could I ask 1 more thing? What exactly did you use to make the dorsal plates glow 1 by 1 instantly? because I can figure out the general spine part that they go upwards but not for the glow help would be nice if you can help me thanks.
For this model, I used a gradient texture plugged into a color ramp to control the emission. I set a driver to increase/decrease the value of the color ramp, thus making the spines glow! For each spine, I moved the UVS one by one in order on the gradient so that they would instantly glow and give you that domino effect!
Alright ill try it, this could help me for what trying to do with my G19/21 glow effects.@@TC9
Thanks.
@@rebelion-ghost2311 no problem!
How’d you get the rig working it won’t work when I try

@@TC9 oh I didn’t mean the dorsal fins I meant the bones aren’t appearing on the model at all
@@HungrySharkGamerthesharkojira, go in pose mode and hit "ALT-H", that should reveal all the bones in the model, if not, check the rig's bone collections, make sure they're visibility is enabled and are showed "In Front" in the Viewport Display.
can you please teach us how to use the model?
The model I updated isn’t available to the public, but the original one is! It’s pretty simple to use like any other rig with moving bones.
@@TC9 ok. Will you able to publish this one and give credit to MMD and the other guys who made it?
When I have time, I’ll publish it and I’ll send you the link to it!
@@TC9 thank you
