The film fulfilled its social function: to make society aware that this search for eternal youth is an illness and leads to nothing. We need to be natural, take care of our health, take care of the environment, have true friends, etc. Life is nothing more than a short film.

The crazy thing is it honestly made me consider if I would do something like this when I am older, even with how crazy the procedure is hahaha. You definitely have to be crazy disciplined and the logistics of maintaining work / relationships is insane. But maybe doable? What a crazy dilemma and an insane idea for a movie.

I completely agree. She lived only to please everyone around her. It was easy when she was young and beautiful. The meaning of the film is that you need to take care not only of your appearance, but of your inner world. We do not have to please everyone, but it is important to have close people around us who will consider us beautiful despite our external beauty.

The movie is not for the faint of heart, but it is brilliant, and it perfectly reflects the realities of our life today-everyone's obsession with beauty, the idealization and selling of oneself and one's body. The film deserves the highest praise, and Demi Moore's performance is fantastic. Not every actress would agree to such a role, but she is remarkable.

One of the best films I have ever seen. Yes it’s scary but it’s even more scary how much u can relate to her. There’s so much to take from it. How superficial society is. How we consider unimportant things as the important, how we need to learn to love ourselves and be true to ourselves and the ones that love us. They kept saying over and over “ all by YOURSELF??? ARE YOU SURE?????! And yes it’s supposed to be scary because life is. And you have to believe you came into this world with nothing u will die with nothing. All u have is ur life so be real to urself and learn to be happy, only than will anything matter. Love yourself

The film is more than its gore theme. My personal takeaway is that it gives us a lesson of how we should embrace the different versions of ourselves, youth and old. I guess it addresses the rampancy of plastic surgery nowadays and how people can never get satisfaction out from it which leads to total addiction, and therefore gets completely lost from themselves at the end. It's an eye opener. I find the ending sad..

For me this movie was brilliant. Its the new Frankenstein of our societe that show exactly our society and the expectation to be forever young and beautiful.

Yo, if this is your first introduction to Coralie Fargeat, I can't recommend her previous film Revenge enough. God, I love this woman's "vibes"
