    Upgraded from an older 18v kit. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.

    Just got this 2850-20 kit (with the 2.0, charger, and bag) sealed for 80$ shipped. It's my first brushless as I'm coming from the one+ Ryobi platform. The difference in sound is interesting. Not only quieter but a little more electric sounding (if that makes any sense at all). Kind of like the first time you drive/hear a rotary engine after driving piston engines your whole life.

    Funny, I ran across this video and I actually have both of these drivers. They are so similar in speed, torque and power that I don't favor one over the other. However, I am leery of brushless tools as all of the extra electronics are a huge failure point and their longevity is questionable to doubtful. I still have two Milwaukee drills and a deck screw gun from 1995 when I started my business and I doubt any brushless or even any tool with mosfets and circuit boards will last half as long.

      Yea, you might have to break it loose by hand then use the impact to do the rest. If you want the tool to do all the work, you might have to consider an 1/2 drive impact that's rated for more ft pounds of torque.

    I never realized that the small bits could be put directly in an impact driver, I thought they would go in too far and get stuck. I guess I should have looked at how far in the locking adapters go in.

    • @CraftyWorkshopBuilds
      @CraftyWorkshopBuilds  3 роки тому +2

      Yea, the small bits can fit but they are not ideal. I only used these because I only had one of the regular size bits and a bunch of the small bits. To make the test more fair, I used the small bits in both impact drivers.
