- Embassy builds RVs, and really good ones too. But they don't use dealers, so how do you buy one? Well, while I was up in Elkhart, I asked... so let's find out together, shall we?

Good video Rob. Breaks down the process very well
👌🏼
Now, Wanda will be getting more calls! Kudos, Roads of Life.

Nice breakdown of the process. Thanks for capturing more helpful information.

Does Embassy offer the cost savings they get for large orders?
Embassy buys the vans at a discount, and they only charge what they get charged for the van. They don't add extra fees for the purchase.
@@RoadsofLife thank you very much, this is very helpful. When I was looking up the extended chassis on the Ford website, I quickly came to the realization that the purchase of the van is just over 51,000. However, when you actually added all the other options that I think Manny would want, you were adding at least another 10,000. It’s easy to find a class B, but a bit more difficult to find a quality class B built on a Ford platform. Embassy has my attention. Are you satisfied with your purchase if I may ask? Thank you both, be safe and well.
@@pd6569 Yes... the Ford Transits are quite a bit more than they used to be. I believe Embassy orders the 350 AWD high roof cargo vans, and they come with some bells and whistles like the RV prep package, so the price is more than you think for just the van itself, not including turning it into an RV.
We are very satisfied with the Embassy part of the deal... no issues with the purchase. We are not as happy with the Ford. It's been hard to find a dealer that has the lift to be able to raise the van for an oil change, for instance. This isn't an Embassy issue, and probably not even just a Ford issue, but it is irritating.
We are still learning the ropes even though we've had the van for almost a year. We haven't been able to travel long distances yet (except for picking up the van) as I am still working full time, so travel has been mainly short weekend trips. I'll be able to say more about long term driving later on in the year I hope!

Thank you for sharing all. The issue with finding a dealership to service a class B was a common issue with Mercedes. I believe that there are many more Ford dealerships than Mercedes. Travel and be safe.
@@RoadsofLife on retirement…..my wife and I count our blessings every day that we are retired (not a good word to describe this chapter of our life) and have never looked back. If you are in a financial position to retire, don’t let anything stand in your way.
August 2023, what is the process of financing with Embassy RV currently? What percentage is required as a down payment? If you are financing with Embassy RV, is there any interaction needed to the completion of the van?
Don't really know if they do financing. I think you'd have to go to your bank or whatever for that. You should contact Embassy directly for that info.
How does financing work if you are putting down half up front and then the final payment?
You have to do financing through a third party. You might want to call Embassy RV to see if they have any financing options though.
14 months to wait and price isn’t guaranteed, could go up another 10 K ! So disappointing
For the most part, the majority of price fluctuations are controlled by Dodge, Ford, and Mercedes. They of course control the cost of the van itself. Delays are happening throughout the RV industry, and have hit the Class B market especially hard. NADA guides don't even have prices listed for 2022 Ford Transit vehicles yet, so no way to order nor even know what they will ultimately cost. As I understand it, because of microchip issues, there will be no orders for 2022 vans until September at the earliest.
So you are very right... very disappointing, but no fault of Embassy or any other RV manufacturer. This is a global problem and it isn't going away any time soon. Thanks for commenting!
