I took their flash drive course six months ago (full time solo) and I keep their information handy! It is a lot of information and I worked on it two hours a day during initial covid and now I have the tools to do more troubleshooting and problem solving when something “tweaks”! I would still love to go for the week long class to be more capable but this has been a wonderful stop gap until I CAN get there!

Sorry about the poor Grammar. I posted it during adult beverage time. :)What money you two did spend on that class Phil took I'm betting will in the long run will more then pay for itself. If it's not being able to do your own repair, he now will know if a tech is trying to BS him.

@@josephrobichaud5198 : LOL! Your grammar is fine!* You should *_see_* the grammatical carnage that I see every day here on UA-cam! Drives me nutz! Seems like no one can tell the difference between "lose" and "loose", "your" and "you're ", or "their", "they're"' and "there"! And a lot of people have simply given up on periods at the end of sentences. What's up with that?
At least you _care,_ and I give you credit for that. 🙂 No one else seems to.

Just started the online course. After about 36 years of RVing, I'm learning a lot of new things - and I've just gotten through the first part! Todd is knowledgeable but also adds a lot of humour to the course. Already I know it's well worth the money, and I wish I could take the hands on course, but as we are not full-time, that may be a while...Athens, Texas is a long ways from Vancouver, BC, Canada, when you have a full-time job still :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge as well Phil & Stacy - we really enjoy your videos and are also really enjoying RV Unplugged!

Think of electricity like water... Resistance is the same as flow restrictions, Voltage is the same as pressure, and current is the same as fluid velocity.

    • @Milesco
      @Milesco 3 роки тому +1

*Exactly!* (Although to be more precise, I would say that current is like the rate [but not necessarily the _velocity]_ of fluid flow -- like the number of gallons per minute of water flowing thru a pipe [regardless of the actual velocity of the water molecules]. Indeed, electrical current is measured in coulombs per second, where a coulomb is basically just a bucket of electrons. [About 6 million trillion. Which is a lot, but electrons are small!])

Only recently subscribed due to being in the early throws of purchasing an Allegro Breeze here in Australia but much as I love your informative videos it's like listening to someone speaking a different language. So many of the terms you use are so foreign to us Aussies, " Boondocking " I can only think would be what we would call " Free Camping " but there are so many other terms I have no idea about.
The RV America scene is much more advanced than here in Aus a Breeze is really the largest coach here except for some converted 40 ft buses. Keep up the good work but maybe more worldly explanations.

What an incredible amount of work you have put together. WOW!👍👍
We just discovered you two on UA-cam. Ruby is a beautiful girl. We are retired and only part time rv'ers and that mostly in Canada or the west. We are 5th wheelers based in Central Oregon. This summer, COVID 19 allowing, we are going cross country to the North Carolina coast via the central U.S., and returning via the northern tier states. We found you guys researching that trip, so thanks a lot, happy travels and you have two followers who love the content.

Glad to hear your opinion. I'm looking at the online option and doing in person in the spring or summer. Might as well put my time wrenching on our uncle's aircraft to some use.

Just watched this video from 2 yrs ago and it confirmed that my plan to become a certified tech and inspector is spot on for me. I'm a senior on a fixed income and currently saving $$ to buy a used rig, so that I can be a solo traveler. I'm excited about the potential for my future new career.
BTW...I'm interested in the training you got in editing. Can you give me details about all that?
    Thx! Cathy

I got a paid apprenticeship starting with absolutely no experience. They hooked me up with free beginner tools and I get certified along the way. So in my instance school was not worth it.

OooooMG.... what a great video. As an Active duty (Army) transitioning service member..... your video has opened my eyes to an amazing future career option. Living FT in my Jayco Seneca 37HJ, I am always curious about this and that but with a course like the courses offered at NRVTA I could make money while I travel the country FT as a retired Veteran.
Thanks so much for the video and one last thing.... GO ARMY BEAT NAVY! 😂🇺🇸

LOL....it was eye opeing to us, the amount of folks who lost their jobs due to COVID and were now jumping in the RV space. There is such a need for both repair techs and inspectors. GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!

Smart of you both to want to get smarter. So important to really understand your rig and technology. But, no masks on anyone?? Any place??

    • @todayissomeday

We still have so much to learn. We did follow the counties rules and ordinances while we were there. Mask were not required, however we did wear them when we felt the need too.

We have three recent graduates of a HVAC tech school that we hired. None of them could explain the refrigerant cycle.
This was a $20,000 class they completed. Two weeks in shop class everything else was virtual learning.
These young men have a large debt for almost no return on investment. This should be against the law.
