It was good to see a full class. The RV field is indefinitely in need of good techs and inspectors. It seems the older we get the more we enjoy school.

Just started the online course. After about 36 years of RVing, I'm learning a lot of new things - and I've just gotten through the first part! Todd is knowledgeable but also adds a lot of humour to the course. Already I know it's well worth the money, and I wish I could take the hands on course, but as we are not full-time, that may be a while...Athens, Texas is a long ways from Vancouver, BC, Canada, when you have a full-time job still :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge as well Phil & Stacy - we really enjoy your videos and are also really enjoying RV Unplugged!
Nice Video. Really cool to see people wanting to be able to fix/trouble shoot their own stuff. It is tough to find a good repair company! I went to RV school, 20 years in the navy fixing everything on frigates and destroyers! Go Navy!
Think of electricity like water... Resistance is the same as flow restrictions, Voltage is the same as pressure, and current is the same as fluid velocity.
*Exactly!* (Although to be more precise, I would say that current is like the rate [but not necessarily the _velocity]_ of fluid flow -- like the number of gallons per minute of water flowing thru a pipe [regardless of the actual velocity of the water molecules]. Indeed, electrical current is measured in coulombs per second, where a coulomb is basically just a bucket of electrons. [About 6 million trillion. A good multimeter, manometer, a set of nut drivers, and screwdrivers. Is a great start. There are some great Todd’s cool tools list once we get started. ;)
Me being an ASE Master Tech The first thing they should have taught you was safety. Not one shot did I see anybody wear safety glasses while working on batteries. Believe me, you DO NOT want to be around a battery when it blows up. Been there and done that.

Hey Phil-Lee-O..... I didn’t realize you’re a movie star..... lol. I searched NRVTA and found their video from a week ago with you headed to the big Red Barn for some schooling.... great job brother! 🇺🇸
We still have so much to learn. We did follow the counties rules and ordinances while we were there. Mask were not required, however we did wear them when we felt the need too.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been interested in this type of training for my personal knowledge. This school was on the top of my list, but I didn't know much about it from a student perspective. Thanks Again!
Glad to hear your opinion. I'm looking at the online option and doing in person in the spring or summer. Might as well put my time wrenching on our uncle's aircraft to some use.
What an incredible amount of work you have put together. WOW!👍👍 We just discovered you two on UA-cam. Ruby is a beautiful girl. We are retired and only part time rv'ers and that mostly in Canada or the west. We are 5th wheelers based in Central Oregon. This summer, COVID 19 allowing, we are going cross country to the North Carolina coast via the central U.S., and returning via the northern tier states. We found you guys researching that trip, so thanks a lot, happy travels and you have two followers who love the content. Ken & Kerry
Great vid...just opened a small rv park in South Georgia (7 full hookup sites) if you come down this way I will treat you to free night. 65 miles north of Jacksonville FL.
Another great video, something I’ve always wanted to attend! Thanks for all the tips and pointers! Thank you again, we look forward to your Sunday am videos! Mark and Pj Chicago
I think I have looked at this school before as I plan my escape. Can't remember the name, but I was also looking at a school down by Tampa Bay that would let me use my GI bill. I think they were a 10 week course.
Interesting...we embark into our fulltime adventure going to Florida as my hubby is going to the RV School there. Their course is a full 10 weeks. He will be a certified RV Tech coming out of this school. This school is approved for his GI Bill. We hope to be going to the Tampa RV Show in January and hopefully meeting several of the fulltimers there and maybe you if you are there.
OooooMG.... what a great video. As an Active duty (Army) transitioning service member..... your video has opened my eyes to an amazing future career option. Living FT in my Jayco Seneca 37HJ, I am always curious about this and that but with a course like the courses offered at NRVTA I could make money while I travel the country FT as a retired Veteran. Thanks so much for the video and one last thing.... GO ARMY BEAT NAVY! 😂🇺🇸
LOL....it was eye opeing to us, the amount of folks who lost their jobs due to COVID and were now jumping in the RV space. There is such a need for both repair techs and inspectors. GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!
Awesome info. I would like for both of us to be able to attend classes like these. I loved your intro! You guys are so great. Thanks for sharing! ❤️Jane from SC...have a great Thanksgiving!🦃
Such a great video!!!!! My husband is very interested in this Tech School!!!! Love all your video's because you share so much great information thanks so much!!!😊
I've been curious about that place. IDK how well I'd do but I would love for my fiancee to go, then he can teach me (repeating himself as often as needed 😉) sending it to him now!.
Thanks for the video guys, not sure I'll be taking the course (I've learned a lot at the school of hard knocks) but for those who are complete neophytes it looks like something worthwhile. Keep the good stuff coming.
You guys are awesome and inspiring. I’m single been hesitant but after listening I’m moving forward and looking forward to the future. I plan on attending. What brand clamp meter is recommended?
Great video! Approximately what percentage of those taking the class with you were only there to increase their own knowledge rather than for possible future business possibilities? I'm retired Air Force; Beat Navy, Beat Army...ha ha! Seriously, we're all ONE; a well oiled machine, fighting for a wonderful, great country!
i hope the Army Navy game does go on. But, Here is something that is sad. I’m an AF ACADEMY graduate, my two brothers are West Point and Annapolis graduates, and we don’t follow our teams at all. 😒. I think attending the RV Tech academy is something I’d like to do in a couple of years. Do you get a bonus when people attend based upon your referral ?? I hope so! I’ve been enjoying your channel for a year now. Looking forward to your videos where you fix Ruby!
8:17 "I now know why my propane locked out on me a couple months back when we were trying to turn on our propane furnace and I had no propane..." *So what was the reason???* In the original video you didn't know, and in _this_ video you didn't tell us!

Hey Phil-Lee-O..... I didn’t realize you’re a movie star..... lol. I searched NRVTA and found their video from a week ago with you headed to the big Red Barn for some schooling.... great job brother! 🇺🇸
Very cool!
Smart of you both to want to get smarter. So important to really understand your rig and technology. But, no masks on anyone?? Any place??
We still have so much to learn. We did follow the counties rules and ordinances while we were there. Mask were not required, however we did wear them when we felt the need too.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been interested in this type of training for my personal knowledge. This school was on the top of my list, but I didn't know much about it from a student perspective. Thanks Again!
My Dad was in the Army and Navy and my granddaughter is in the Army
You two always have such interesting information. Thanks for taking us along. Blessings!
Thanks for watching!
Glad to hear your opinion. I'm looking at the online option and doing in person in the spring or summer. Might as well put my time wrenching on our uncle's aircraft to some use.
What an incredible amount of work you have put together. WOW!👍👍
We just discovered you two on UA-cam.
Ken & Kerry
Thanks for finding us. Getting out when you can is better than not getting out. Hope to see ya out here.
Great vid...just opened a small rv park in South Georgia (7 full hookup sites) if you come down this way I will treat you to free night. 65 miles north of Jacksonville FL.
Awesome as always you two!!!!!!
Another great video, something I’ve always wanted to attend! Thanks for all the tips and pointers! Thank you again, we look forward to your Sunday am videos! Mark and Pj Chicago
Any time!
Thanks for doing this review/assessment of the NRVTA. Been looking to go either next year, or more like '22 at this point. :)
I think I have looked at this school before as I plan my escape. Can't remember the name, but I was also looking at a school down by Tampa Bay that would let me use my GI bill. I think they were a 10 week course.
Sounds great . We are just getting started into this RV world
Thank you for sharing. Go Navy!
That is awesome! We wont be at the show this year.
Great school!! RV owners get educated!! GBYAY
Glad you are working on making better videos but I already think you do great stuff. Also excellent review of the course
I appreciate that!
Great video. I can see the training would be very beneficial.
I think so too!
OooooMG.... what a great video.
I'm definitely checking into this, thanks for sharing. Go Navy!
Awesome info. I would like for both of us to be able to attend classes like these. I loved your intro! You guys are so great. Thanks for sharing! ❤️Jane from SC...have a great Thanksgiving!🦃
Thanks so much!!
Wow huge difference when you switched cameras !😁❤️🙌
That is what I thought!
Woah!!! Go Army, Beat Navy!!!! Hahaha! Great vid!
Thank you so much for sharing your lives and adventures.
Our pleasure!
Such a great video!!!!! My husband is very interested in this Tech School!!!!
Love all your video's because you share so much great information thanks so much!!!😊
Awesome! Thank you!
This video was so informative. Thank you so much for taking the time necessary to put it all together. Safe travels . . .
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good luck on your new endeavors Stacy and Phil, it shows us your never to-old to learn. 😄lol .. As Always, Stay Safe and God Bless.
Thanks, you too!
Beautiful drone shots. Loved those.
Thanks a lot but those were thanks to Hippie and the Tech
Any investment in yourself for knowledge is priceless!
Great video. I absolutely would like to attend this class before we go full time.
You should!
I'm retired, and still working, Im up at 7am with the alarm!
You guys are awesome and inspiring. I’m single been hesitant but after listening I’m moving forward and looking forward to the future.
I plan on attending.
What brand clamp meter is recommended?
You can do it!
So usually we have about 50% of the class starts out as there to just learn more about their own Rv.
i hope the Army Navy game does go on.
8:17 "I now know why my propane locked out on me a couple months back when we were trying to turn on our propane furnace and I had no propane..."
*So what was the reason???* In the original video you didn't know, and in _this_ video you didn't tell us!
It had a vapor lock...we assume. It corrected itself later the next day. We think the guy that filled us up, didn't do it correctly.
Happy Thanksgiving, Phil and Stacy!
Same to you!
