Hey! Thanks for being here :)
I know this video won't be for everyone but I'm really hoping it will be helpful for people that have found themselves struggling like I was. When suddenly every little task in life gets tricky its nice to have some advice to feel less alone and frustrated 💙

When I was in nursing school, we all had to practice living with a disability (blindness, hearing impairment, one side of the body not functional, etc.). You've come up with amazing solutions. You have to get creative and you and Grant have done beautifully. These things came in so handy when I broke my *right* wrist. I learned how to write left-handed and it was legible! LOL Go you! You got this!

leighannsays I have both my hands in use thankfully, and coincidentally my husband was just in a bad wreck that broke his left arm and wrist recently, right before you, and it's been so interesting watching him do things lmao, because no matter how much I try to help him, he says "I'm a man, and a man needs to do some things for himself" lmao. He lets me help a little, but needs to keep his independence, so it's super interesting watching you manage too

Bravo Leighann 🤗! Super clever 🙂. Also I'm very happy you're doing so much better 🙂. And honestly I am your people (aside from the fact I've been subscribed for years 😊), because I watched your video without any other reason than because, if you were going to teach us something this useful I needed to see it 🙂. So, thank you 🙂.

As someone who had a stroke in utero, I've always had extremely limited use of my right hand.
I've looked up those one-handed tutorials many times before. I was so excited for one of my favorites to do a video on this!
I never even bothered with the curling wands, because I really needs something to hold my hair. I might just buy one now.
    Thanks so much!

I broke my left shoulder in two spots last week and I’m left handed thank you for this video. Did it take long to heal mine is broke in the socket so I only have a sling I didn’t need surgery so far. I needed this my first thought after I realized I was going to be ok was how will I do my hair . My husband did help wash and blow dry and even did my makeup. I will be binge watching these type . I am 56 years old. So I guess this may be the beginning of old age 😩 I am a pre k teacher and took this week off but have to go back next week. Working with 15 five year olds with a broken shoulder has me really stressed. Pony tails and braids are important my hair is long and wavy too and I wear it straight. My hubby learned to braid too. Lol thanks again

Thanks for this video! I’m having the hardest time.
I have very very very thick hair down to my elbows and I broke AND sprained my right (dominant) hand. Estimated recovery is four months…FML! My hair is not easy to tame and is frizzy and crazy and so heavy. It takes 4-5 hours to straighten it completely and I have asked salon professionals if there was any way around it. They said nope! This idea with how to tie your hair up using the bed and wall…I’ll have to try it. I don’t know if I can get it to stay because my hair is so heavy…but I need to try something. I really might just have to chop it off. Luckily, it grows really really fast. Even if I chop it off, I’ll still need to tie it back to see things, so either way, these tips are helpful. Thank you!

I was born without my right arm, and I have been at the mercy of other people doing my hair for a long time except for straining like that I can do. But curling I’ve never been able to do and since I’ve heard about that Arab I’ve been obsessed with trying to figure out how to do it with one arm, so thank you so much for making this video. I know they’ve come out with even more technologically advanced parts for the air wrap since this video so that’s even cooler but thank you very much.

Not getting my hair out of my face is making me crazy so if anyone has tips that work for curly hair, I'm eager to learn!

The Revlon dryer you bought is my All. TIME. FAVORITE appliances ever. I have naturally curly hair that is fine, and this makes it straight but with a ton of body and lift! I will buy it over and over as I wear them out. I know you’ll love it! I was even able to use it, with a little help and a lot of clips, when I hurt my clavicle and rotator cuff last year. No IDEA HOW HELPFUL THIS IS RIGHT NOW! LIKE EXACTLY THIS MOMENT! Luckily it's my left hand that's not "working" and I'm right handed (Thank Heaven!) but, still taking care of not just myself but 3 lil boys DEFINITELY takes me soooo much longer now! Physical therapy could take 3-6 MONTHS or longer! So I'm sooo grateful for this video and ANY tips you have to share! I didn't even realize it would be an issue (since I have use of my arm, just not my wrist & fingers) until I went to put in a ponytail! I had my hair in a clip for 3 days... Then I'm like ughhhh, "Babeee!" Screaming for my husband to "help" me, which ok, he tried his best so "A" for effort, 😉 as I'm upside down with my hair half in the elestaic! 🙄 🤣 IMMEDIATELY after I'm on the phone with my mom explaining situation and thinking of all other things I can't do! Changing diapers / clothes for my boys takes longer but I can do it! Please try to make more of these! Maybe a makeup one or in the kitchen kinda one? You've given me more hope and I know ANYTHING can be done! Really the only drawback is that it definitely takes wayyy more time to do anything! Picking up toys and cleaning (like not just wiping up) takes double the time... But at the end it does get done & that's what counts!
Sorry for the huge comment but I'm just shocked this came now since mine began the morning of Halloween (10/31) & I honestly thought I slept on it wrong or something but never went away or got better. So final step now, physical therapy & don't even have an explanation as to how / why it happened!?
    Anyways, thanks again! 👍🏻 💓

Omgoodness! Didn't even say hope you're elbow heals quickly as possibly! Oh & a tip I was told... Don't over stress your right arm/ shoulder (like over compensating) because it can lead to issues / problems with your "good" arm! But obviously, it will get stronger over time!

My armpit-to hand cast- applied to hold my arm at a 90 degree angle makes it impossible for me to even reach my head. Lol. I I was FREAKED OUT about my hair too!!! What a sweetheart you are to have done this video. It must’ve been so much work to move locations, not to mention all of the demonstrations. All of which were beautiful. Thank you and I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend! 💗💖💗 xoxo

I basically checked out of life but you are making it work!! I feel you on still trying use your bad arm - it’s such a reflex! Hope your head owie feels better soon! 😘

I love your spirit and enthusiasm here. I know it has been a crazy frustrating struggle (I broke my left wrist and am left handed), but you have chosen to power through, be grateful, and help others. Believe me, these are totally cute and helpful. The hair curling with the stand looked great girl😇👍

I was trying to look up ways to do your hair when you have bad hands (I have arthritis that can flare really badly sometimes, in addition I was dealing with pretty much the loss of use of my index and middle fingers on my right hand for over 6 months at one point.) I didn't find much that was helpful for me in that situation but I did find these women who were showing how to do things one handedly. When my left hand was out of the flare I would try to do what the women in these videos did, and I never was able to get the hang of it. So props to them and props to you for being able to do this!

This is the first video of yours I've watched in a while, and I have to say, I forgot how good watching your videos made me feel. Your energy, authenticity, kindness, humility, and sense of humor come through every one of your videos and make you feel like you're hanging out with an old friend. I've missed that without knowing it lol.
Must go back and binge watch what I've missed.
