Omg! She is totally having a melt down inside lol. I would have cried if any of my daughters did this. It takes way too long for black hair to grow. BUT from my experience small children cutting there hair is like a rights of passage. So many kids do this including myself when I was very young lol.
My daughter just did this last night and i cried. Like total melt down. Then I had to remember it is just hair but I was in shock and couldn’t believe it.

Lol true... my grandma caught me cutting plugs of hair out of my head once. I used her big sewing scissors while looking in the mirror of her dresser. She was so disappointed because all the time & effort it took for her to grow my hair went down the drain including the money buying particular products and traveling out of town just to get PCJ relaxer because we lived in a rural hick town and she couldn't find a store that had it in stock.

I’m so sorry that happened however, you handled it extremely well. Your little boy was truthful and you’re absolutely right it’s only hair and it grows back! My Late Husband would come home from work and ask me how my day was. On a good day... My reply was, “At least we didn’t have to go to the Emergency Room.” On a not so good day... “At least nobody lost an eye or broke any bones, it was only a sprain.” (Or stitches)
