I've used Firealpaca for over two years but there are still some features I'm struggling to use (cough how to use comic feature) so these are really helpful for what the Firealpaca tutorials have a hard time explaining
Phenomenal tutoring skills haha~ Great job, you really nailed teaching the procedures on making a comic, unlike others where they're not really straight forward and sometimes end up being convoluted. Thanks for the help! :D
Hey, I don't comment often, but I figured I'd let you know that I watch every single one of your videos, since I was following you on Tumblr first and for some reason that means I enjoy hearing your perspective more?? I'm not really sure why, but when it's just a UA-camr I don't feel as drawn into their work, but I've been following you for ages and love all your OCs, so I can recognize them in videos and it feels...more enjoyable? I hope this made sense.
ahhhhhh seriously?! omfg that makes me so happy I could never think someone would watch everything I posted ahaha. that's a cool thing to hear! maybe, since you've been following me for a while, you feel like you know me in a more personal level then a youtuber? idk ahahaha but it means so much to hear this you have no idea!! thank you ;u;
Omg 😩💕 literally thank you SO MUCH!! I was searching everywhere on how to mix my panels after drawing and finding out the object tool is used for that is a blessing Thank you!!!
oh man, you have no idea how long ive been struggling to make panels on firealpaca. thank you so much for this tutorial, you really saved me here!!! 💕💕💕💕
So. So. So. So. Helpful. Leslie, gosh. Why don't you have 1 million subscribers already?! I can't listen to those fancy tutorials because they use big words, but you are on my level. THANK YOU. ^^
That's fine if you don't got a tablet I watched a lot of tutorials on digital painting and when I saved up to get a cheap tablet I already new a lot of stuff and it was easier for me. (Parblo tablet for 47 EUR) But there are ways to make digital art without a tablet, like drawing on your phone (ibispaint is good free program for pretty much all phones) or drawing on a computer with a mouse(if you have one)
I'm so glad you made a video on this topic! Your instruction was helpful! I hope to see more videos that focus on comic creation. I personally like the manga style, so it would help to learn about screentoning, backgrounds, storyboarding and making unique panels like those commonly used in shoujo manga.
Thank you, I never knew exactly how to use the comic setting, and wanted to learn. It's so cool that you can make panels like that! Might be helpful if you went over the different types of comic presets, such as the differences between professional, Yonkoma, etc. :3
Ikr. When I saw you could make panels that way I was like "WTC I COULD'VE USED THAT FOR THAT ONE TIME I MADE A MEME-Y COMIC, I THOUGHT THE ONLY WAY WAS LINE AND BOX TOOL
Uwah! I love your channel so much!! They're actually HELPFUL, unlike all of the other ones I find. Thank you so much! You helped me find FireAlpaca and I'm trying to use it :'D it's not completely different from SAI, but it's not the same either. Anyway I just wanna say thanks so much!! I doubt you'll ever read this though lol. I look forward to all of your great tutorials and amazing artwork ^^
god, you are a genius!!! and yes is really helpful, you're just a little bit fast and I had to repeat what you said to fully understand but, you are brilliant
This definitely wasn’t posted on my bday- CoUgh Anyways this really REALLY helped me! I wouldn’t know anything without this video! I’m currently working on a comic and it’s turning out amazing!!
Thank you! I had know clue what the "Object" was until now. Thank you so much! Also, it's not as hard as it looks. Now, I'm drawing really boring and derpy comics! (Mostly for testing.)
Awww you remind me a lot of a good friend I used to have called Cassie! She drew very well, helped me a lot, was funny, and her voice was similar to yours! Kinda cute (I hope this isn't creepy 😂😂😂) Tysm for these tutorials!!!! 🙌
You could just draw a black circle, with the same width and color as the other panel borders, and i dont know if you can merge it into the other panel borders so you just might want to lock it so that you don't accidentaly draw on it.
How to print them? Well if you just want to print them on your printer at home, then you should be able to save the comic page as a PNG (or other format of choice, though I recommend PNG. Also, save it as a firealpaca page first and keep it just in case) and then you should be able to print it on a normal piece of paper. Might use a lot of ink though, especially if it's a colored comic. How to actually print something varies from cpu to cpu and printer to printer, so if that's what you were asking, I can't really help you there.
It's 2020 so there's a chance someone else in the comments already answered this but-- the term "bleed" refers to when a comic panel extends all the way to the edge of the page, such that there isn't even a panel border anymore. It's just the end of page itself. There's no gutter between the panel and the edge of the page. A bleed can take up a whole page, all its borders being the ends of the page, or it can be just a part of the page, functioning with regular panel rules on one side and bleeding on another. For example, a panel at the top of the page might go all the way up to the top of that page with the edge of the page as the border but will still have a regular drawn bottom line, gutter space, and then room for more panels underneath. Is this making sense? I wish I could include diagrams with youtube comments but, also, I think the day we let youtube comments comment pictures is the day we all die because... youtube comments. Hi. Do you know how to do circular panels? I REALLY need it :(. Thanks anyways.
You could just draw a black circle, with the same width and color as the other panel borders, and i dont know if you can merge it into the other panel borders so you just might want to lock it so that you don't accidentaly draw on it.
omg TY very much, this is gonna help me so much with my webcomic

This was really helpful since I changed to a Mac. I must ask if you know how to print these comic pages?
How to print them? Well if you just want to print them on your printer at home, then you should be able to save the comic page as a PNG (or other format of choice, though I recommend PNG.
