Can anyone please help me? I downloaded Firealpaca into my computer and it isn't working. I will open Firealpaca and if I try to draw anything it won't work and the background is gray and I try to change it it won't work. :(
Firealpaca is a great art program in my opinion. its wonderful that you took some time to make tutorials for it. i never had them when i started using it, I had to learn on my own. So this is really nice of you.
Jesus Christ...I love your voice so much! You sound adorable, and your voice is just really, REALLY nice! :O I have a whole lot to say tbh lololol so: 1. YOU ARE LITERALLY THE MOST HELPFUL DIGITAL ART CHANNEL I'VE SEEN. I'm not even kidding. Every time I look up a tutorial for something, your videos pop up. Thank you so much. It honestly means a lot. 2. FireAlpaca is AMAZING! I'm not even kidding. I used to use Photoshop and I literally haven't touched it (for digital art related purposes) in a LONG time. I began learning everything on there - photo editing, digital art, etc. It was difficult because starting on such an advanced program gave me a steep learning curve. That did help me, in a way. Using simpler programs became easier for me. But I have actually stopped using Photoshop because FireAlpaca is so good. I only keep it for photo editing, and because it's part of the Creative Cloud subscription, so I may as well keep using it. 3. For anyone starting out, definitely, start sketching on real paper for a while. There's no need to use canvas, just simple notebook paper would be perfect. After that, if you are still determined on getting a drawing tablet, get one of the cheaper ones by Wacom. Wacom is an amazing brand and I absolutely love their drawing tablets. Intuos used to be the cheapest model (it's used by quite a few famous UA-cam channels as well) but now there's also "One" by Wacom which is really great. I personally liked it better than Intuos, because a lot of the features in Intuos really just bugged me. Most people like Intuos better though; it might just be me who prefers One. Either way, get either the One or the Intuos (both are by Wacom) if you're just getting into it. Even this channel; she uses Intuos as well! And after seeing that art style, I bet you want to be as good. :P It's okay. It's normal. Trust me, there's a huge chance you might not be in DIGITAL art specifically in the long run. If you are, that's just great, and you should then look into upgrading. Honestly, I've worked with a Cintiq as well, and although it's magical (^_^), it would be more suitable for developed art professionals. Firstly, because it's expensive ($800-$5000), and secondly, because you REALLY don't need it unless you're a proper professional. If it's going to bring in profits, then it's a good investment. If it's not, it's really just a bad one. The artwork I've seen made with A MOUSE (a bloody MOUSE) is phenomenal. For real though, if you work with a mouse, HATS OFF to you. While I'm not recommending going forward with a mouse if you can afford a tablet, I still am just trying to convince you that although you really want to believe it, your device is not going to make you better unless you work yourself. I still do believe that sometimes, but I guess that's just how the brain works. Get an affordable drawing tablet if you can, shut up, and start working. And if you cannot afford one (I know you guys are out there), get working with your mouse. I promise you, if you put your heart into it, you'll make things that you're proud of. I remember when I was starting out, I made a really crappy scenery, and while I was yodelling at my crappiness, I was genuinely proud of it. That's just how it works. Keep your head up and start working. 4. Once again, I want to thank this channel. Girl, you've helped me out so much. I'm literally ditching Photoshop for FireAlpaca, at least for now. I just prefer the simpler and artist-friendly layout so much. I don't use PTS (Paint Tool SAI) as often, either. And as you said, there aren't many tutorials on this. There are now, but a lot of them are yours. And I genuinely think yours are the best. I love you so much for this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
OH MY GOD, I didn't know about the expand option that you showed at 29 minutes, THANK YOU! :D That will save me a lot of time; before I selected the area with magic wand, then Select/Expand by 2 pixels, then increase the pen size to 1000, then paint with that, then resize pen... :D (just got to use FireAlpaca since yesterday and I love it so much over Gimp)
I just got my first drawing tablet today and after a few hours of fiddling around I decided to look up some tutorials and tips and I came across your channel. Your videos are not only informative but entertaining too and I love your art. Cant wait to see whats in store for 2017 and I cant wait to improve my art as well
I just downloaded FireAlpaca and had no idea how it worked, like "shiiiiit what do all these buttons do? help!" Your tutorial was very helpful and I'm excited to start! Thank you!
Today is my birthday, (July 26th) and I just got my first tablet. I already knew most of the functions a because of watching this video before getting it. If I find anyone wanting to buy a tablet for beginners or experienced but not exactly professional, I'll recommend using FireAlpaca and getting the tablet I got today which is a 10 x 6.25 inch graphic drawing tablet 4000 LPI, 200 RPS, 2048 Levels of pressure sensitivity by Monoprice. I love it to bits already, and can't wait until I can draw more, as I've already finished a simple doodle drawing. I love this tablet, and I recommend this tablet to anyone. Thanks to anyone who read until the end ^^ I know this comment be a little long (IDK really, because I'm on my phone so it might be shorter on PC) and just thank you for reading again .3. P.S, My tablet was bought off of the Monoprice website in case you're wondering. It's not a direct Wacom tablet, but it works just like one, and for a great price too.
God, thank you so much for this. There's nothing more intimidating than starting a new art program with a million buttons and not knowing how to make them work. This guide was extremely helpful. Definitely going to be giving your other tutorials a watch too, consider me subscribed!
This helped me out A TON. Thank you so much!! I just recently discovered your channel and youre such a gem!! I'm definitely going to give digital art another try after getting inspiration from your videos :)
Thank you so much for making this video! I am getting my first tablet today (and since I'm cheap af firealpace was my one option for a good program) and this video really helped me understand the program! Thanks!
I have been using fire alpaca for well more then a year and knew only a around 1/4 of the information you given me. Thank you, I wish I saw this video sooner. :)
I am so thankful that I found your videos! I've been messing around with firealpaca for a while and i figured out some bits of it, but watching you videos is so exciting cause there are so many more things for me to learn and you explain them so fantastically! thank you.
Hello! I watched the ENTIRE video! I HAVE A REASON! Soon I might be getting a digital art tablet thing and I needed to learn as much as I could about them. I always thought Paint Tool SAI was free because so many people used it but thanks to you, I now know that it isn't. I think Fire Alpaca is great from what you showed the veiwers in this tutorial. I appreciate that you took 40 minutes out of your time to show people how to use this stuff, I was confused at times but you then explained more and I understood! Thank you. ~Rouge
You probably won't see this because it's an older video but I just want to say I LOVE your tutorials and they have helped me so much on my art journey! I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to get digital art, but with your help there's hope! Thank you so much :)
You are a life saver! I've been using FireAlpaca for a while now, and I had now idea that even half of the things you showed even existed, or did what they did. This is going to save me so much time! ^^
IDK how I could possibly thank you for months I've been trying to find an alternative for paint tool sai because it didn't work for me on mac, and I almost gave up on digital drawing so thank you I'm so glad and fortunate I found your channel
That helps a lot actually. Recently I've switched from GIMP to FireAlpaca, mainly because Windows updated and GIMP didn't wanna work properly anymore. FireAlpaca is a lot different from what I'm used to. It took a while before I found this but I'm glad I did so thanks a lot :D
I watched the entire video and it was a lot to take in, but I didn't hear you mention how you make your brush get the smooth effect at the ends of it. I have recently gotten the program and my brush has a very straight and solid stroke while yours has a pointed and smooth look to it. I don't know how to make my brush look like that? It also tends to lag.
Uh, weird. I'm fairly sure all tablets have pressure sensitivity, but which one are you using? Are you sure you set your tablet up properly or checked if there are settings to enable/disable pressure sensitivity?
20:06 THANK YOU SO MUCH This is just a thing for anyone who was looking for **how to have references open** with FireAlpaca. This was the one thing I really wanted to know and I was about to use an entirely new program just because I wasn't sure about this. So thank you
LeslieLu Marie Hi this might be a dumb question but when I downloaded firealpaca there is no canvas. I don't have a tablet or drawing monitor yet but does it show up when i set one up?
Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for making this video! You have no idea how frustrated I was trying to find a good program that would be easy to use as a completely new user of a drawing tablet.😥 I didn't know the basics, I didn't know what the pop-ups on the screen meant because I don't use computers often, I didn't know how to do things or why I needed to do them to start a project, I didn't know how to fix problems with the programs I was newly setting up, and I didn't have anyone in the house that could tell me what I need to know because they were either busy or they themselves didn't know. All I could find in the way of tutorials were really short steps to filling out information without explaining what the information was, how it would effect the set-up of the project, or taking into consideration that not all the people watching their tutorial videos understood the basics and that some of us were literally completely fresh to anything involving animation software. With that being the case for most of the videos I came across, I want to thank you so much for making this video going over all the details of what everything is, how it is used, how it effects what you are working on, and explaining everything in a way that is so very simple to understand. I really needed this.😊 I hope you are having as good of a day as you have made mine!😁
This is so helpful, thank you so much. I haven't had my wacom two weeks yet and I was ready to smash it into a thousand pieces in frustration. This is the perfect tutorial for a newbie xx
Ok uh this video was really helpful but I think that skipping over some things just because they're in other videos isn't the best idea considering people are probably watching this because they're new to firealpaca and probably don't want to search for multiple videos just to know everything but that's just my opinion and as I said this was a really helpful video ^^
Wow, this software literally met all of my expectations for digital art, been trying to find a perfect digital drawing software but not one matched what I wanted. Really glad I found your video!
I've been watching a lot of your videos as I try to delve into digital art and just getting better at art in general. Thank you so much for doing these! They hold my attention and are very informative, And you're just a fun person! I like listening to you. So thanks for doing these! I'm learning so much!
So, I accidently mess up something on my FireAlpaca, and now it doesnt show the color wheel or any of the colors you can click on. Its just gone. How do I fix it?
Oh my gosh, definitely going to use it. To be honest, I'm kind of comfortable with paint, but the lack of layers killed me. Thanks for recommending me this.
I have never heard of FireAlpaca until I saw your video and it looks amazing and easy to use! I can't wait to use this for future projects rather than wasting tons of money just for Photoshop!
I used firealpaca for my digital book covers for my wattpad stories but I never got the hang of the digital art side of it. Thank you for clarifying this through the video! I might take up tinkering with firealpaca again 😊
How do you make the strokes look like an actual brush stroke or pencil stroke? My strokes are all pixelated and yucky and it makes the lines look blocky.
you might not see this because this comment is old, but make your canvas larger, the larger it is, the better, but try lowering your brush size to, also, do you have a drawing tablet?
Thank you so much for your videos!! I just started digital art, and having these tuts will help me tremendously! You're right, most of the tutorials are for SAI, and since I have a Mac, I decided to go with FA. You're a lifesaver for me!!
The pixel grid shows a grid of the pixels, but you have to have to be zoomed in pretty close to see it. Also, how you move references in the reference window, you have to deselect the eyedropper first. That allows you to move the picture around instead of picking the colors. Thanks for the awesome video! I've been using FireAlpaca for a year, and you taught me things I didn't know! +1 subscriber!
+Ihas Pretzelz fair enough. If you try to open it and get a 'cannot be opened because application is from an unknown party' or something like that, right click (or whatever your right click equivalent is), and select 'open' from the menu that appears.
Tubs I'm currently using fire alpaca Ironically what the the person in the vid is using lol I wanted to get Krita but I decided not to install it because I found the installation process to be complex I wanted paint tool Sai but I could not find a legit website to download it from since I had just gotten a my first labtop I didn't want to risk getting a virus from an untrustworthy site so I left it alone so in the end I got fire alpaca since it was free I do plan on getting coreal paint in the future since the brushes are better and you can do more
I save my work load as PSD files all the time. I never use the default fire alpaca option file because it won't be able to open in other programs. If you switch back and forth between programs such as gimp or photoshop it's useful to save it as a file those programs will recognize; like the psd files. It saves all the layers and you can continue to work on your work with a bunch of layers still active. So far your tutorials have been very helpful with my art journey as I learn fire alpaca. Your tutorials are the best I've ever seen. Thank you! PS: I could be wrong about the file alpaca files not being able to open in other programs but i tried with gimp (opening files from gimp in fire alpaca) and it wouldn't open.
Juwoolie If you click on the “Window” tab, you should be able to get back the Color wheel/bar and all that good stuff by clicking on them. Hope this helps!!
This is the most helpful art program tutorial I've watched!! You explained everything so well (for me at least) and I'm definitely going to try this out!!
digital noob here i started using krita cuz it seemed the best free option thats similar to photoshop but ive hated it because it feels so advanced and i gotta learn so much about it to use it at any level. with firealpaca i got a sweet pen brush and a sketch brush from the get go. i dont need to fiddle around in the settings to get a decent brush. and the fact that you make a tutorials on it that are easy to follow just adds marzipan to the bowl of candy.
This helped quite a bit! I just recently started using FireAlpaca and I couldn't find any tutorials on the actual tools of the program that was until I remembered your channel from an account I had some time ago and I found this tutorial Thank you! :)
I have never heard of firealpaca, I've been using bootleg SAI for years. But I was curious after I saw the comic option and I just have to say thank you so much!
Thank you so so so much for making this video! I just started getting into digital art and you answered like, 98% of my questions! Keep up the great work! (Please... I am slowly being killed by my square brain not thinking good. Things are too confusing!)
I just downloaded the program and your tutorials are very helpful, you´re right digital art can be scary but this does help a lot so thanks for doing it!
Thanks for the assist with firealpaca! 😁 I'm just starting out with digital art, and there aren't many videos out there on UA-cam that explain how to use firealpaca, so this is great 👍🏼
thank you! i just got my first tablet and firealpaca and this was SO helpful. now im going to suffer trying to learn to draw looking at the screen instead of straight down
I loved your video! I´m new to digital art and I was still unsure about the program I was using, because I didn´t really know all the options and stuff, but after seeing your video I decided firealpaca is more suited for me.
steps to switch to digital art:
1. get some free drawing software
2. attempt to draw with out a tablet
3. cry
Before I got my tablet I used to draw with a pen like the ones you use on an ipad and the trackpad of my laptop, i'm actually surprised I could make something decent tbh
Take the leap and buy a drawing tab.
If you really like art, you won't regret it :)
oml its kind of hard to get used to drawing with a tablet
From personal experience, if you have a phone, a drawing app, a pen, aluminum foil, and half a q-tip, you can do it. lol
lol that's what i'm doing right now, i'm at the crying stage
I spent a good ten minutes trying to draw on the grey screen that you start on 😅
freaking same, i tried that when i first got firealpaca i was like " wtf why cant i *DRAWWWWWW*
i done the same thing but i deleted firealpaca and re-downloaded it
Me right now
I accidentally closed my color wheel and it’s not coming back on pls help
@@brianavelasco9563 It may seem like that. Just increase your brush size

Are you using a graphic/drawing tablet or only your mouse?
Kanra Orihara A Tablet
Uh, weird. I'm fairly sure all tablets have pressure sensitivity, but which one are you using? Are you sure you set your tablet up properly or checked if there are settings to enable/disable pressure sensitivity?
Kanra Orihara I would have to get back on to see if it's correctly set up. I have a Wacom Intuos tablet.
Oh, the same type I'm getting, then. Have you tried on any other art programs that support pressure sensitivity?

THANK YOU SO MUCH
This is just a thing for anyone who was looking for **how to have references open** with FireAlpaca. This was the one thing I really wanted to know and I was about to use an entirely new program just because I wasn't sure about this.
So thank you
Do you have a video on custom brushes you use and how to make them, if you don't, can you make one - THANKS
yes i do have videos on those. you can go to the search bar on my profile and type in "custom brushes"
LeslieLu Marie do you have a video where you drawing with a mouse or a laptop?
LeslieLu Marie Hi this might be a dumb question but when I downloaded firealpaca there is no canvas. I don't have a tablet or drawing monitor yet but does it show up when i set one up?
Hi! go up to "file" and then click" new" and that should help
Thank you so much for uploading this i just installed fire alpaca and iam so excited to use it thank u Soooo muchhh💖😚
I liked my own comment and replied to it
help me...
Downloading it was really scary... I kept feeling like I was gonna get a virus
SAME
same!!
I wasn't! But I know how you feel..
Download AVG basic, it's a free antivirus. Mcafee comes w windows and I completely uninstalled it n now use AVG, it's super good
QT munchkin Same!
Thanks to you, I USE THE BUCKET TOOL A LOT MORE OFTEN!!! I never liked how it would leave a lot of spaces but I didn't even know the expand existed.
Thanks, this video actually helped alot! Time to watch all of your other videos ever.
Maybe you just hid it? Go to 'windows' tab and click Color
OMIGOD IT WAS THAT SIMPLE? Thank you so much, i was totally clueless.
haha, no problem :)
Lol, that happened to me too. I was pretty scared but I just messed around and got it back
its-a me Thank you! You helped me too!
Oh my gosh, definitely going to use it. To be honest, I'm kind of comfortable with paint, but the lack of layers killed me. Thanks for recommending me this.
*me watching the video*
" oh ok there are some new things..."
*talks about the correction option*
"WTF has this been all my life"
I have never heard of FireAlpaca until I saw your video and it looks amazing and easy to use! I can't wait to use this for future projects rather than wasting tons of money just for Photoshop!
*starts to watch this thinking that I can't digitally draw and don't have firealpaca*
Me: ..... OH WAIT IVE HAD FIREALPACA FOR 3 YEARS WTF XD
ikr.......its just been sitting on my desktop and i forgot it was there XD
I loved the gradient tool because of sunset background being sooo much easier thank you for showing me how to use this program!
Jasmine Singh I recommend blend and watercolour
OMg that little guy is Hinata from Haikyuu 😂👏👏
Also thank you for this video! I just got a drawing tablet as an early Christmas present and I'm not used to it yet and also FireAlpaca
Turn on antialiasing, see if that helps
Turn on antianalising and increase the stabilization
I found out about FireAlpaca through your videos and now I use it! It's really great!
I know this was 4 years ago, but I got a problem with my brush. It acts like a eraser and I need help. ASAP
Thank you so much for your videos!! I just started digital art, and having these tuts will help me tremendously! You're right, most of the tutorials are for SAI, and since I have a Mac, I decided to go with FA. You're a lifesaver for me!!
Hey, is here a place to download your LeslieLuMarie font? It's really nice.
It's fine if it's just for you, I'm just curious. :3
+1 subscriber!
is it safe to download for a macbook pro..? i scared to ruin my computer..
Yeah, it's a secure site. Just downloaded it myself.
hm, i just don't wanna get a virus on my macbook.
+Ihas Pretzelz fair enough. If you try to open it and get a 'cannot be opened because application is from an unknown party' or something like that, right click (or whatever your right click equivalent is), and select 'open' from the menu that appears.
Sultan here's the official site! firealpaca.com/en
Scroll down and click mac or Windows to download it!
Yes, it is a virus. The owner has been hacked and is being controlled.
The voice is fake, it is a voice changer.
Wow I just got FireAlpaca and I swear was way too lost about how to make my lines look smooth your tutorial is superb !!!
WHAT ABOUT LAYERS?

I'm late XD, just got FireAlpaca. May I ask, do you have to buy the full version or is the whole thing itself free?
The whole thing is free! I love it. It’s the best free programme I’ve ever drawn on (besides... ms paint XD)
i am so glad you have a mac! a lot of speed painters have windows but i have a mac! i thought i was the only one who uses a mac to paint with
i use a mouse
i draw like a boss
Jojoto Pep Lol Yech I use laptop
Go to my account on Deviantart WereRabbitBeastly777, I drew all of that with a mouse ;3
Tubs hell no lol
Tubs a tablet is much more comfortable
Tubs I'm currently using fire alpaca
Ironically what the the person in the vid is using lol I wanted to get Krita but I decided not to install it because I found the installation process to be complex I wanted paint tool Sai but I could not find a legit website to download it from since I had just gotten a my first labtop I didn't want to risk getting a virus from an untrustworthy site so I left it alone so in the end I got fire alpaca since it was free I do plan on getting coreal paint in the future since the brushes are better and you can do more
Just downloaded Firelpaca, and I have to say that it's AMAZING!!
Who was drawing on Fire Alpaca while watching this?
I'm looking for stuck users in the comments section and trying to help them out.
I uh might have xout of the color and other things
Um
How do u get those back
Lmao me and my dumbazz don’t know sh!t
Juwoolie If you click on the “Window” tab, you should be able to get back the Color wheel/bar and all that good stuff by clicking on them. Hope this helps!!
@@randomuser6792 Bless you
This is the most helpful art program tutorial I've watched!! You explained everything so well (for me at least) and I'm definitely going to try this out!!
The one dislike is Donald trump 😂😂
Haha lol
What about the second one?
the second one is hitlers ghost. lol/
The third one is Stalin
fourth by hillary Clinton 😊
I'm so happy I found this. I'm new to digital art and I'm gonna be using FireAlpaca.
It took me about 3 hours to actually get back into my own style using a tablet. The first 15 minutes I thought it was hopeless, but its all good now!
Thanks so much! I just got a drawing tablet yesterday and this video helped me understand FireAlpaca a lot.
digital noob here
i started using krita cuz it seemed the best free option thats similar to photoshop but ive hated it because it feels so advanced and i gotta learn so much about it to use it at any level.
with firealpaca i got a sweet pen brush and a sketch brush from the get go. i dont need to fiddle around in the settings to get a decent brush. and the fact that you make a tutorials on it that are easy to follow just adds marzipan to the bowl of candy.
Thank You So much!!! I was realllyyyyy having a hard time with FireAlpaca until I watched this!!! You've helped me a lot!!!
I just downloaded the program and your tutorials are very helpful, you´re right digital art can be scary but this does help a lot so thanks for doing it!
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out FireAlpaca for ages and you've really helped.
Thanks for the assist with firealpaca! 😁 I'm just starting out with digital art, and there aren't many videos out there on UA-cam that explain how to use firealpaca, so this is great 👍🏼
Thank you for showing me how to deselect the selected things with ''select'' tool! It really helped me! X3
I’ve just started using fire alpaca and this really helped me out
Thanks
I like how your artstyle is kind of a hybrid between western and anime
I am just starting out on Firealpaca and this tutorial REALLY helps!
This was super helpful! Especially the one where you could select multiples
thank you! i just got my first tablet and firealpaca and this was SO helpful. now im going to suffer trying to learn to draw looking at the screen instead of straight down
This is super helpful that you've gone through almost all the tools, thanks!
I've been using firealpaca for years and I did't know some of this, so thank you very much! ^_^
Finally biting the bullet on learning Fire Alpacca. The video was very helpful thank you :3

I loved your video! I´m new to digital art and I was still unsure about the program I was using, because I didn´t really know all the options and stuff, but after seeing your video I decided firealpaca is more suited for me.
