Thank you for NOT making this a 20 minute video! I just wanted to see what I was getting into first before doing it.

EDIT, on a Sierra 1500, when reinstalling,, make sure not to tighten the bottom bolt (the one he said he forgot) on the reservoir all the way before you tighten the very top bolt.. if you do, you won't be able to pull the tank all the way back up..
This is a very helpful video. Thanks so much for posting it!!

Thanks brotha! Didn’t know about the bolt on the bottom. I hate those plastic wheel well pop out screws and the dumb placement of this reservoir!

Terrific man. Thanks for the great tutorial. I love this UA-cam man! Had a leak and discovered it was the pump. Took about an hour to replace, The worse part was re-connecting the positive cable to the dang battery. Really tight quarters there in the battery compartment of the '05 Sliverado. I got the pump from Advanced auto parts. The Chevy dealership would not sell just the pump...they wanted $89.00 for the whole reservoir with pump attached. Thieves!

I cleaned threads with a wire brush and applied wd-40 , made it a lot easier.

-- Got an impact wrench for the batt tray, and yank the wheel, it's pretty easy. While you've got the battery tray off, do a little rust protection on it and the area, it likes to pool water. What's new.

I just changed mine out with help from your video but now when I use the windshield sprayers I end up with water all under the hood and dripping from the bottom of the new jar. I wonder if it’s the little pump that’s bad🤔

Nice video if you don't want to watch step by step and actually SEE the reservoir being removed from its factory installed position. I know it's a small detail but details are what makes a good "how to" video, that a steady camera POV.

Question. Are the connections part of the headlight harness or is there separate harness for this?

So you have to remove the front bumper?

Note: If you just need to get the pump out, you should be able to get it without removing the whole reservoir. My local Auto Zone had the pump in stock.

I found a electrical Plug hanging down in My Chevy 1500 Ls 2006 , that looks like the one for the water motor pump but is not ,I been doing research and it looks like it is for something call reservoir Lever sensor but mysteriously this reservoir tank doesn't bring that hole to install the washer fluid lever sensor and the sensor on the side . I guess i will have to make one with a Christmas tree..

Thanks for the video. Mine is leaking, not sure yet from where. Anyone have any clues? From a line or possibly the tank? Thanks.

Could have just removed wheel well liner. Not necessary to remove bumper or battery 😂. Turn the steering wheel to the right and remove wheel well liner and it comes right out

Maybe you shouldn't be so dumb and watch the WHOLE TUTORIAL before tearing your truck apart. Not his fault you can't pay attention 3 minutes. These people...just want to blame everyone else for their own BS.
