In the 2024 Paris Olympics, Uzbekistan won 5 gold medals in boxing across 7 categories. Two of these boxers became two-time champions. Bakhodir Djalalov made history as the first-ever two-time Olympic champion in the super heavyweight division.
Great videe bro. I also heard that because boxing is in their schooling system, as many as 1 in 3 box at some stage. So it is their national sport. Having said all that, they have under achieved at pro level in my opinion. Many of the expected stars just haven't delivered as expected. Melikuziev for instance hasn't reached the heights many predicted. Jalolov is a monster, but they're moving him too slowly
Thanks a lot Chris. It didn't come out exactly how id have liked but non the less. Really appreciate your comment though. That is very interesting that it's part of the school system. I agree, they have, although the next couple of years we should find out if they are able to finally breakthrough into pro success. Melikuziev is closing in tbf after his little hiccup VS Rosado (1). Hopefully Jalolov now that he is with TopRank can get a move on cos. Madrimov, Dusmatov and Giyasov are also in the mix, so we will see. On the 25th Ergashev is fighting for a world title vs Matias but I can't see him getting past that beast. Anyways, thanks again, hope you are well.

That's fair enough. From the outside looking in it certainly seems to me that the level of appreciation and admiration the people have for their fighters is far above normal praise. Perhaps worship is a little far. How would you describe how the people feel towards the fighters that bring home glory?

😂 5:15 how is the Cuban or Uzbekistan style the greatest style when foundational black Americans are more successful than both groups? FBA style is the greatest style
I quite clearly say 'arguably'. I was also only talking about the Cuban style. Thanks. Cheers for tuning in
Wicked, well done
Thanks a lot. Much appreciated
My respects, dear aha, cool video.

Can you make one on Cuba
Origin of Uzbek boxing is American actually
The man named Syney Jackson founded the first boxing school in Uzbekistan back in 1920s
Look it up folks

Madrimov at 154 is a problem for anybody. His punches come from awkward angles at a broken rhythm.
I agree. He is a former gymnast and you can see his amazing agility, coordination and awkwardness come out. He is def one to watch.
Him and Bud is going to be nice 👌
Not an easy fight for Crawford
At* awkward angles from* a broken rhythm
🤘🤘
I would probably say Madrimov is furthest down the line to get a world title next
I don't disagree mate. Although my money is on hassanboy dusmatrov to really make an impact.

The foundational black American slick boxer is the most successful boxers of all times no one's ever come close to that level of success.
Hahahah you all learnt from soviets you clown 😂😂😂
Why aren't people making videos about the greatness of foundational black Americans dominating boxing for over 100 years? We never get our credit
Bro literly every video that comes out talks about black fighters. Give other people spaces man. Americans are so full of themselves.
Because as of late the American boxing scene amateur wise sucks compared to the Eastern European scene
