NOTE: I put the Front Treal Spindle Carriers on the wrong way. I had them on the right sides, but the logo should be facing out. They put their steering stop on the opposite side that LOSI used which is what I was using as a reference since they don't have instructions on how to do this. So Right goes on the Passenger side of the vehicle with the logo facing the front/outside of the axle where the Treal logo is. Why did you change the steering stop Treal? Why Treal? Why? People without instructions are going to do what I did and look at how their last ones came off and that steering stop would be the most logical reference point. Thanks to mavrick0pm for pointing this out.
Brother you have no idea how much I appreciate this, i just got my son and my self both trucks and my son ended up breaking his front axle, I just ordered both front axles but had no idea, I’ve seen a couple of videos but nothing detailed as yours, if you have any rear steering upgrade video fully detailed as this one please let me know. Once again thanks a lot🤜🏼🤛🏼
I'm not sure which way is 100% correct on the c-hub. I thought the same as you at first with the steering stops in the same location as the plastic ones but then noticed that the 5 degrees that are suppose to be on the Treal axles wasn't there. So when I looked on their website the pictures show them with the steering stops facing forward and all the Treal logos on the same side. When I built mine that way you can see the 5 degrees that comes with the axles.
You are right. I looked at the website and they put the stops on the front. Why Treal? Why? That was my reference point as they didn't supply any directions. I guess I'll be flipping them...though it handled well this way.
How much dose LMT cost? You don't shoe goo your bodies at all ?. I just repaired a pretty much destroyed x-maxx body with the shoe goo and drywall tape. Very very impressed. And its cheap. A little time consuming. 👍 Good vid
My stock ones are holding up, but I've see that RC4WD has released complete axles with internals... Pricey though. You should try get a set and compare with the ones you are running now.
After seeing what the Losi internals can handle, I wouldn't go with the RC4WD ones. I'd rather get metal casings for the LMT internals. RC4WD parts are hard to come by. I believe LMT is going to be the standard for aftermarket parts. You don't see that with the RC4WD stuff.
@@CCxRC I have to agree. The LMT sets standards all around, except for axle casings. I bought a nice launch ramp. Gonna see how it flies. Hopefully the axle casings hold up cause all I can source here is RC4WD’s aftermarket replacements and they cost about $300 a set.
@@Triggered-RC yikes. Do the RC4wd work with the Losi internals or you just mean you’d have to switch axles completely? I haven’t seen anything but the scale axles they made before and the ones they now make for their RC4WD monster truck
The toe in helps the truck feel more stable. I'm wondering if it helps with the pull to the right i was feeling. These axles seemed to track straighter.
They look great and should hold up to tons of punishment. I think the stock housings should cost half of what they sell for $20-25. It seems as if the outer housing (Large front piece of each) needs to be produced using a more durable/flexible composite that could hold up to colder temps (in the 50 degree and up range). Like CCxRC Tony said, there were no issues until the weather dropped in temp. I hope Losi considers using a different plastic even if it is offered as an upgrade to stock. The Treal units quality and machining/material certainly equals the price, but for many it is not a financially capable option. Braces I guess will suit most...or RPM to the rescue?!
I think they need to make the plastic less pieces. The problem is it flexes too much. I'd go solid pieces like the treal but in plastic....or like the Axial axles. There's just too many pieces and then screws to hold them all together.
@@CCxRC they wouldn’t have to go full on metal everything like a beefed up EXB or something, but some metal in a few strategic areas would have been immensely helpful. Not crazy about adding weight to my truck!
What size is the LMT axle shaft? I purchased a set off Traxxas 12mm aluminum wheel hexs and was wondering if the center hole is big enough for the threaded part of the axle shaft. Would I need to purchase traxxas part# tra6869 which has a bigger hole in center for beefier axles.
Hi Tony & Gandolf cool video very informative, those axels look much more durable than the plastic braces if that day comes when my stock axles break $672 for 4 axles as I have both rtr Diggers not trippin tho keepin them stock as long as possible & OR isnt as cold as VA, keep up the awesome footage see ya in the dirt 😎👊
Right. That's what I said. It would be on the driver's right hand side. I point to the left and said if you are the driver "here" then it the right would be over "here" and pointed to the right. Saying passenger side would've been easiest.

For the aluminum rear end can you tell me where to get them you said New York in somewhere else If possible can you give me the address thanks I appreciate it because I cracked my rear end and a half thanks
Treal and their paid off Facebook posters are the absolute worst, I will never give them a single penny. Vitavon has 7075 axles coming next week, much nicer final product and is someone with morals that I can actually support.
I have not come across any of them. I know of one person who is sponsored by them and they don't get anything but a discount on purchases. I paid full price for mine, but haven't had any dealings with Treal other than buying their SMT10 steering links. I haven't had any deals with Vitavon, but plan to wait and support Hesse Machine when his come out as he has been in the RC monster truck game for a long time and they are made in the USA. I just wanted to test these and see if the the fit was good for people who may be afraid to drop the money. I'd say they are very impressive.
If the bearings are that hard to get in the are going to be impossible to get out. It's really going to suck when your $2 bearing makes you $200 axle completely useless
