I'm glad folks are explaining the difference between a LOSIMT and a SMT10. Weight, motors, width... Etc. I ran my SMT10 half open diff in the front, with a Lil thicker in the rear for dirt tracks we raced on. But on those Losi Axles and diffs they can't be locked with all that Torque and power! Awesome vid!

Thread lock should only be used on metal to metal connections.

Hello. Do you shim the pinion gear on the center diff? If so what is the size or part number for those shims?
Shimming generally takes place on the ring gear. I don't shim the center diff in the LMT.

Are you asking what fluid I use in my center diff????? I have 1 million weight in there now.
Could you suggest a starting point for front, center, rear LMT diff fluid weights on a tight course with tall grass? I've seen front 80k, center 300k, rear 60k work fairly well, but im worried it may be too light in the center.
Start with stock and adjust as necessary. That’s what I would do.

Hey man the diff shims at the end of the video what size are they? I seem to have lost or broke my shims and am getting a grinding now in the rear… are they the LOS246004 ?

@hetmanskihobbies How many shims do I use? I'm not sure on it. Is it three on the ring gear side? Or four? I messed up putting mine back together and I have mine all open currently.
@@MasonsLegoGarage The truck should have three shims altogether on the stock diff. Found between the bearing and differential. I have one shim on the diff housing side and two on the gear side.
@hetmanskihobbies Thank you. I want just the most gear mesh and the least grinding. I'm not racing just bashing. What would you do for bashing?
Does anyone know how to shim the front diff on the Losi lmt
You have to fully disassemble the diff in order to get the bearings off so you can move the shims. The shims on each side of the diff adjust gear mesh. Add shims on the gear side to tighten the mesh and add more shims to the housing side to loosen the gear mesh.
WHAT DOES IT DO TO PUT 1 MILLON IN THE CENTER DIFF DO GET MORE WHEELS DOES GIVE MORE TORQUE DOES GIVE MORE STABILTY WHAT DOES IT DO ?????
It basically equalizes the front and rear drive to the axles and reduces the pull to one side when applying power.
