I am a true beginner and also overweight. My stomach gets in the way, my knees have arthritis, and my arms can barely hold my weight. BUT.. i will keep going. This is so hard for me but i have to start. Pray for me.

I found this channel because I came across a brand new yoga strap in my house and my mom said use it!!! She's 79 years old and does yoga everyday, she's amazing, puts me to shame.

I hope you have kept going. The gift of yoga to me is that it taught me boundaries, acceptance, and calm. Your stomach doesn’t get in the way. It helps you to adjust in a way that is respectful to your body. You aren’t simply overweight. You have visible results of your life that you are able to change and get visual results. I have Crohn’s disease and it causes blisters on my face when I have a flare. I could either get sad and think I’m not pretty or be grateful for the visual marker of internal health I need to address. I know this might sound all fluffy and silly but how you look at life really does change the life you live.
I’m not a beginner, I’m just never consistent.

I’m not a beginner but recently stress has taken me away from my daily movement practice. Seeing the Start Here in the title brought me here. I think this will be a great way to get back to my daily practice. Thank you for yet another wonderful series!

starting my yoga journey here. my therapist recommended yoga to me as a way to help me cope with my ptsd. i will say i do feel calmer and more “in my body”. looking forward to trying day 2!

Not a true beginner but had a mastectomy 2 months ago and this was perfect for me now that I'm building apart of myself back up!! Thank you!!!
This was right on time for me. I started experiencing lower back and hip strain which has been causing me pain and limiting which movements and exercises I’ve been able to do. I’m hoping to get back into a flow to loosen up the areas and the length of these videos make that manageable both mentally and physically
I really like this I was super nervous about downward dog, but the gentle way you did it, I was able to do it & because you didn't hold it super long. I have been trying to incorporate yoga into my routine, would start & stop but I'm starting again & this series will help me start with basics at a pace that works for me.

Thank you. I’m not a beginner, but I’ve gained weight. I’m also out of practice and have an ankle and knee injury. I really want to build up my strength. So doing this daily will hopefully help be build confidence and get back to my former self.

My hamstrings are so tight. I’m not able to sit on my heels. Do you have any idea how I can do it or modify?
Yes yes! Take a pillow or rolled up towel and place it between your bum and your legs. That way you'll have something to help connect you to sit more comfortably.
