Props for having a fire extinguisher! Only issue is that it might be dangerous to have it next to you on the door. If you ever get in a car accident and that thing explodes, you're going to be covered in that powder-thing which will burn like hell on any cuts that you have or if lots of it gets into your eyes, cause problems as well.
@@AllThingsOverlanding Not in the bed, there are some mounts that attach to the where the seatbelts attach to or molly panels, or just underneath a seat. That way it remains inside your vehicle

Thanks and good info! I am starting to look into some inflatable mattresses to supplement the stock mattress. Just purchased this tent for my 4Runner. Can you send me a link for the brackets you’re using to have your awning mounted to the tent. I have my ROAM mounted to my roof rack currently
That's a good question. I actually have the awning mounted beside my tent on my bedrack. The Xtrusion Overland rack has some 90 degree brackets that stick up beside the tent and allow you to mount the awning higher and straight out beside the tent. Love the truck, i just feel like the bed is a bit too small. I know it helps with the breakover angle but still something to be said for a bit more storage space.
Yeah, on the Pro-4X with the quad cab, you only get the 5 ft bed. But, they do have some of the most configurations you can get on a mid-size truck overall, but you may have to decide what other features matter most to you. It's one of the few left though with an available 6 ft bed in various configurations. I don't need much (because mine's full of gear and a drawer system, so I'm not hauling much, so I may be an outlier.
@@AllThingsOverlanding fair enough, I love the pro 4x but that's why I inevitably was looking at the SV trims for the larger bed as I do still haul quite a bit day to day.
I got the 2” over because the RTT is 7’ long and with the 5’ bed, it would have hung way off the back so I wanted to make sure it could go over the cab without contacting anything. Really just depends on your RTT and how you want it to look!
Would love more info on the suspension... Like ride quality, any limitations that you've come across and would you do the same one again, or go with something else? Love the videos....
Appreciate it! I’ve actually shot a video on the suspension and I’ll drop it ASAP. Just need time to get it edited and it’ll be out. Short version is that it basically rides like stock and feels great. I do have a lot of weight in the rear so I added a longer shackle for now but when the stock leafs give up in a few years, I’ll likely go with the full Fox setup from All Dogs.
I really like your set up. I just got a Frontier 2023 Pro 4x, my question is do you know what the overall height is to the top of the roof nest? My garage door is only 6'-8" tall. From what I ca tell if I do a similar set up it might be to close. Thanks for any help.
Sorry, I was gonna try to measure it for you. So, it's a 1.5" lift (RC Killa) if that helps. Honestly, I'm on 33's now because the suspension allowed me to fit the bigger tires without rubbing (aside from my wheel spacers which are causing a bit of rub). So the tires are what are actually getting me more ground clearance and you could estimate that I've picked up about 1.2" of extra height from the 33's over the 31.8's that come on the truck stock. Does that help? If not, post up and I can try to measure stuff for you. Hope that helps!
How are you doing on payload? I just got my 2023 Pro4x and I'm considering a FWC Swift, which would put me at about 300lbs overweight fully loaded. I fine with that since I plan to upgrade my entire suspension and tires anyway, but it's pretty sh*tty that Nissan didn't give this truck competitive carrying capacity. I love the truck, but the low payload is a major annoyance.
I haven't weighed the truck, but if I had to guess, my RTT is about 170 pounds, awning is about 50, bed rack is probably 20, drawer system is about 300 so I'm sitting around 550ish plus depending on additional stuff like fuel and stuff I'll throw in the bed. The truck handles it well, but I can definitely feel it offroad and on dips in the highway. I'm still on stock suspension though with an AAL in the rear and a longer shackle, so that's to be expected. If you went HD leafs, then you'd have a different experience I'm sure. However, the main thing is the truck has been able to do everything and once you get used to the driving dynamics, it's not bad. Hope that helps!
What size tires are you running with this lift? I went with the nizmo 1.5 fot now. Trying to decide between 265/70 or 285/70 17 (my sv came with 265/65)
I'm running 285/70R17's. I have 1" wheel spacers which cause them to rub and required some fender liner cutting and a bit of metal behind the fenders. If you don't run spacers though, I've heard they fit with no cutting and minimal melting of the fender liners.
I personally don't because I prefer a shorter bed, but if I was doing a cap or something and building a sleeping platform in the back (which would be kind of awesome) I would have to have it. Not much you can do with that and a 5' bed.
I just got that one for the slider and it came in the box with mine. Hit them up through their Facebook group and they're pretty responsive! Here's a link: facebook.com/groups/222377319518960

@@alakso777 no problem! And yes on that tire size. I haven’t had them on the truck without a spacer but I’ve heard some people say that size won’t rub with stock wheels and no spacer. If it did, I imagine it would be very slight and might only require melting or slightly cutting the plastic fender liners.
@@alakso777 Those are sick looking trucks and they seem super capable. But I’ve had a couple of Chevy’s in my life and they were both terribly unreliable so I switched to Nissan around 2000 and I’ve probably had 12 or so of them and they’ve all been fantastic, especially for the money.
