This press doesn't cost a lot of energy and doesn't take a lot of time to learn the basics. Its also known as a three-quarter press (no pressing below their freethrow line). My teams use it after made baskets, after foul shots and on back-court inbounding. Its a good press at exposing teams that have don't run a good press break (traps/intercepted passes). Its not the hardest press to 'break' but its one of the best presses to limit you defensive recovery distance back to half court. You don't need a ton of really fast (or advanced) players and the risk-reward ratio is pretty good.
Decent press, but a well-coached team isn’t going to be phased by it. Player 2 isn’t going to stand back. If he advances up the floor, the entire weak-side is open. Maybe this would work against smaller/weaker players who can’t make that pass across the court.
Highly inefficient press. Probably the easiest to break of all press structures. On top of that, you need the right players for this to be of any consequence. If you have a single BIG that isn't conditioned, then this will fall apart quickly.
Saw a grade school team who used this in state...worked like a charm.
iv been waiting for this for so long
Good breakdown of a time-tested press, not sure why trapping zones aren’t on both sides of halfcourt, the trap should not have to be early.

Every press has weaknesses. And every press is made better when the players are longer and athletic.
