Whole rice is good too though. White rice might not be that best choice but is not horrible too. Whole grains or pseudo grains are always a great choice. Bulgur, Quinoa, buckwheat, millet... all top choices.

I loveeeeee bulgur. I eat it almost everyday. I love the texture and I knew it was better than white rice but I didnt know about all the nutritional facts about it. Great vid. Loved it. I am Turkish by the way. Bulgur is way more popular here in mid.east/ mediterrenean than the rest of the world. Big hugs and kisses to Sena for doing the speech.

This is a very good overview from a middle eastern prospective. Here in the USA, bulgar has been around in the vegetarian/vegan community for decades. It was making it taste good that just eluded our way of preparing it. Thankfully with UA-cam and the plethora of chef's from all over the globe, it's easier than ever to put together a stunning meal using humble "BULGAR."❤

@@optique4 sorry I did not see your comment.Pretty much you can make it similar to rice depending if you want it very soft or a little on the hard side...We sometimes make it with peas or beans. Some olive oil, spices, bean or peas, coconut milk, add some hot water to the pot, let it boil. Then add your bulgar wheat, stir it let it cook, once all the water dries up,cover it up and lower your heat to low. Let it cook more and taste to know when it's ready.
