Dirt Rows

By Charles Montgomery, 2024. This was inpired by a comment from my late Aunt Nancy Montgomery. When my father passed away in 2012, after the funeral, some family members (including my uncle Robert Montgomery, standing next to me in the 2012 photo) and I tried to locate my grandpa Clarence Montgomery's farm outside of Littlefield, TX. We found the location, but there was NOTHING there but plowed dirt rows. Nancy made a comment that "it's hard to go home and find it plowed under." That comment has been burning in my brain ever since, and I finally got around just this year to finishing the song.
