I remember watching this fight live. No one picked Lewis to lose this fight. And when he dropped I could not believe it. truly the better fighter won, Rahman took this fight serious and it showed with a victory. Was a great fight from start to finish.
Plenty of people talked about Lewis losing as he turned up in South Africa too late to acclimatise to the altitude. The whole fight week was mostly this. LOL for saying the better fighter won as well. Seriously, LOL. Rahman was no such thing. He won only due to Lewis not preparing properly. Nothing else. Even with the advantage of knocking Lewis out going into the rematch he couldn't compete. Rahman got knocked out even worse and in ironic fashion. In the build up, Rahman came to England and did promotion for the fight riding in a open carriage with a crown on his head. When Rahman's head landed on the canvas after getting knocked out in the rematch, his head landed perfectly by the huge crown on the canvas.
Awesome shot there. Anything can happen in a fight, and Lewis got caught being a smart ass. Damn it if Tyson would have had his head together. It just takes that one shot. Lewis is one of my favorite champions, calm and collected.

Lewis had no high regards for Rahman's boxing skills and despite knowing Rahman packed power, he fully believed he would never be able to land any such punches. Lewis had for a long time been hungry for fighting his long-time era rival Mike Tyson, but despite numerous lucrative offers to Tyson, the fight was yet to happen between them.
