  • Rob was out of his comfort zone for this weeks vlog. It was a two day job for Rob, Ryan and Lee, replacing a Boilermate with an unvented cylinder, including new radiators throughout the house, updating the controls and carrying out a power flush. We hope you enjoy it, and as always, please like and comment :-) If you haven't already subscribed then we would love it if you did as it really helps our channel. Have a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend everyone, and until next week, stay safe!

I Had a Boilermate for over thirty years, good bi of kit and worked well, probably not that efficient but the wife loved the hot airing cupboard !

When a job doesn’t go to the desired timescale that’s when you find out what your team is made of. Great team effort up the Bobers !

Really good to watch your videos and learning all the time. Just wondering how much time you spend on a full service? Did one today which was pretty sooted up, and took over 2 1/2 hours. 😢. Thanks again Rob

Lovely job, what about lagging pipes?
I would have reduced rad tail length with mini grinder. Carry on the good work 👍

Thanks for the comment. We only had to cut down 3 tails but yes a mini grinder is a good idea, I may invest! as for the pipe lagging, That is next weeks job. I thought i would leave it so i could triple check for leaks as there was a lot of soldered joints! 🤣 . Have a good bank holiday mate.

@@BartonOilBurnerServices thanks for replying, mini grinder handy for cutting & chamfering soil pipe, and cutting iron pipe too, well worth investing. Enjoy the bank holiday

Tidy install and nice to see guys putting a long day in, other trades say to me " you're only plumber i know that works passed 5pm"
Its hard to imagin your area you live and work in, the end of your video looks like a housing estate?
Places near me that are on oil are remote farms/barn conversions or dales villages.

Like you said, pipework is quick if you just lash it in. A bit of a late finish but you can walk away knowing you've done a proper job

Great install as always, just show what a bit of time can do rather than people working on deadlines lol. My only concern is there should be a balanced cold especially for the showers if they have them, just makes them run smoother and no chances of callbacks for showers not getting warm lol

Thanks for the comment. After consulting with Adam on the day we decided not to do this as there was already a pressure relief valve on the mains in? Have a great week as always. Rob

@@BartonOilBurnerServices oh ok as long as that reducing valve is set to same as combivalve, yous are good to go 👍😎
