Just found out from the LPPSA calculator that if a government servant is on KWSP scheme, then they can only borrow up to the retirement age (which is usually 60 years old). Only those on pencen can qualify up to 90 years old, but maximum tenure is still 35 years. So I guess if someone is on the KWSP track, they'll have to calculate which one is worth it - getting 100% loan or longer tenure with a commercial bank.
Why no more updates in this playlist anymore 😢 I find it very useful and alot of important tips to be learned about mortgage here. Im looking forward for ur next episode!
Is it possible to pay only the interest portion of your monthly installment? If your unit is untenanted and you're unable to bear the full cost of the monthly payments.
There are banks that offer interest only loans, but usually it's for the first 5 years only. But if you cannot afford the monthly payment, how did you got it in the first place. That should be the main concern.
The fixed interest Gov loan is one of the the most lucrative aspects of being a civil servant, especially is husband and wife both work there. Invest wisely with that money.
So if someone is being appointed as a personal secretary or Political Secretary, or the politician themselves, can they apply for this LPPSA loan? Considering that Politician or their appointed official secretaries are also "government servants" per se right?
