I think the unboxing footage is of value, as it gives any potential buyer an idea of the box size and any issues with the set up, avoiding paint transfers for instance when removing the plastic body wraps protecting different parts, such as clothes.
7:51 Here you asked about how we care regarding the unboxing. I don't personally care about seeing the figure being unboxed but I do enjoy seeing the figure contained in the box itself, as well as seeing some of the artwork of the boxes for the higher range figures personally. At 8:49 you illustrated the figure on your rotating tool, perhaps even seeing the figure in the box with the box rotating would be a nice introduction IMO. Love your vids as always :) !
13:12 Continuing what I had said, really enjoyed seeing you build your Power figure, especially considering you mentioning how difficult this one was to build.
Yeah I'm not really sure why I don't put the box on the rotating table, besides the harsh reflection from my lights kinda annoying me when I look back at the footage lol
Great haul! That Power shines of confidence and is a good look, especially that grin and teeths - 2nd time is a charm :) (Although I do like Amakuni's too for that leg real-estate 😂) Comes to Makima, I too agree this is the best licensed figure of her so far that is both a hit on her face and personality depiction. Even the unlicensed resin ones are rarely hitting the mark according to that circle. On the unboxing experience. If it is not too huge of a hassle, I hope you may briefly go through or speed up (through post-process time-lapse) the unboxing. I personally value the unboxing experience for a good number of reasons: 1) there is an element of suspense and excitement even as I see others do theirs, like opening up my own gift during xmas. 2) gauging of box dimensions and space which helps with space planning and shipping estimation. 3) some boxes really carry good visuals, designs, and of varying box quality (thick versus flimsy) that is good for reference. As you do at times buy into more unique characters, the unboxing allows us to better appreciate some of the design elements in its full package which may not be covered by others or in MFC. 4) Helps with authenticity checks.
For your videos personally I love watching the unboxing, it gives me a sense of knowing what to expect from the figure for when i receive it and if there's anything I need to know beforehand and of course I just like knowing the size of the box too! and you're definitely one of my favorite figure collectors I just enjoy and agree with your commentary, you have a very chill, down to earth style and I appreciate that!
@@ZuccoFigures yes like that Aki figure XD I've wanted it since it came out but I didn't buy it cause it was so expensive and later I heard it was small but holy heck I didn't know it was THAT small XD I might just go for the Makima instead if she ever goes down a little more in price
I am surprised to see you reviewing the Aki figure from Myethos, I did pre-order for him and I agree in terms of composition and theme he looks very nice. I have a slight issue with the blood splatter (as you pointed out it looks less realistic, feels the end results honestly looks a bit different with his decomass / prototype) and the size (he does looks a bit smaller for 1/7, kinda feels like 1/8 honestly) but all and all it is a solid Aki Figure. I don't particularly mind with the lack of unboxing clips. Great Video as always!
I like seeing the box bc there are a ton of figures I'll never buy so it's nice seeing the box but also if I am interested in a figure it's useful to see how it's packaged Anyway, another gr8 video! Love to see you unboxing some figures and taking in the details with you. I feel like this type of video is less demanding/stressful than pre-order round ups for you (tho I was surprised to hear u say u had to re-record it since it always seemed more chill to me)
Tbh I overthink everything. Like if I dont feel like I'm being informative enough I redo takes or in this case just redo the video. Sometimes I wonder if I'm talking way too much in these videos though lol. The goal is to streamline my content slightly while still keeping my chatty style
personally, I really enjoy the unboxing and setting up the figure itself !! i think those steps alongside showing the figure right after really adds to the whole experience in the video. other than that, thanks for another great vid😁
Hey, Zucco! In the meantime from your last vid, I’ve watched all of your old ones! I was starting to get worried about you! Love your work, from video editing, opinions and eloquence! Keep on doing it 🫶
Sometimes I need a break or just don't have much to talk about but honestly I just wasn't feeling it the first time I tried recording this vid so I needed a few extra days. Thanks for enjoying all my vids tho!
I've been considering in getting that Estelle Bright figure for a little while now. I've never played any of the games, but Estelle's appearance in the upcoming remake makes me want to try it out. The remake also has me to assume that there's probably going to be more Estelle figures on the way; which is why I haven't bought the latest figure yet.
Still waiting on my Makima figure to get here. Very disappointed by how that bonus face plate looks... That was what really sold me on the figure in the first place, and now I'm probably not even going to use it. :/ At least she looks mostly good otherwise. I still can't decide on a Power figure... Waiting to see how the Phat Company one turns out.
I think I'd like to see the unboxing process in the future for useful information like how to remove some of the plastic sheeting between limbs and what not. Also how easy or hard it is to peg into the base and if there's something that should be removed or attached to the figure first, etc.
Picked up the Furyu Bicute Bunny figures of Power and Makima. Pretty good for $50 bucks with real fishnet stockings between the hot pants and thigh high boots on both.
That Tales Game is such a throwback for me! I remember I was in HS when the game was released for the PSP back in 2011! As for showing unboxing footage, I think some is okay so people can get an idea what to expect in the package but even in my videos, I try to make it quick lol
I often skip past the unboxing part in some peoples videos because I just want to see the figure. I don't skip in your videos though because your commentary is always good. So I don't mind either way.
I got my first Pop Up parade the other day; Yumeko from Kakegurui. No joke, I was surprised at how nice it is. She actually looks better in person than she does on the website, especially for how inexpensive she is!
Honestly, I don't mind having the unboxing part be excluded from these videos. While unboxing is cool in an ASMR way, I am sure it is extra work that doesn't always add much value to the video itself. I am mainly here for your review of the figures and your voice. Do whatever makes sense to you. :)
I do like the unboxing process if filmed correctly but usually I'm just sitting here in silence for a few minutes doing it lol. Maybe I'll put more thought into how I present the footage for next time
yea I often skip past the unboxing in videos because I just want to see the figure. I don't do this in Zucco videos because he is interesting to listen to.
The Estelle is based on her Sky SC(2nd game) design. Pretty sure it was 18000 yen on Amiami. But since you've got one Kiseki figure you have to get them all now😆
Hey zucco I need some advice my mother is gonna make an appointment of pest control to get rid of bed bugs however would the pesticide hurt my figures tell me your opinion on this.
While I've never had that issue I would personally pack your figures away to get them outta the house for a bit. Probably a huge pain but there's def a risk in damage. Really depends on the type of chemicals used tho
I kinda like the Phat! Makima more than the SS one. Not a big fan of all that blood. It's too bad the S-Fire Power has QC issues though...it's my favorite figure of her so far!
Honestly I wish I could remember cause I just got them from my parents when they moved. They might actually just be Billy bookshelves from Ikea since it looks exactly the same
That dorohedoro shirt is fucking fire. Where did you get it Zucco ;-; Also, I just got a recast of a Nikaido garage kit I cant wait to paint. Hopefully season 2 comes with some pre painted figures for the collectors :>
Im tempted to get the Aki figure. He wouldn't fit with my collection which is more cute though. 🤔 It sucks he's small because men are usually bigger than women so he looks weird next to other 1/7 scales. I guess he would fit with 1/8 figures but I have mostly 1/6 scale. Maybe I could display him with prize figures
I enjoy getting to know how the figures are packed personally, I like how you showed the unboxings in this video in particular, but if it's too much trouble I don't blame you for cutting it out. Also I don't know how to say this but the Aki figure just feels...Kinda slutty? In a *very specific* way, like, I can just tell this figure was made like this with women in mind, and I feel like I can't say that for most figures. He does also look too small for a 1/7, it's odd. I also kinda wish there was a little more detail on the cigarette specifically, that it was a little blackened and burned at the end. I know adding smoke would have been hard to do too, but it would have really elevated it for me too. I'm positive Mythos could do it, I've seen their other works and they're incredible. They could have sculpted his ear rings instead of just dotting them on. I just feel like for 200$ they coulda done a couple of small things to level it up way more, yknow? Maybe that's just me...I'm not usually so critical of figures, but maybe it's cause I like it so much and it could be just *much better* with a little tweaking yknow?
Honestly I get what you mean. in a different take of mine I Implied this figure was catering towards a female demographic though since I left it at that without explanation I took it out of the video. The term slutty didnt come to mind but I think thats a decent way of describing him lol. All valid criticisms though. I didn't have a frame of reference with Myethos figures so my critical eye wasn't looking at every inch of this figure. I also just assumed most of their work was going into the base so they'd cut corners elsewhere. Partially an issue with making these videos on the fly rather than a script too so I naturally miss stuff unfortunately. I'm sure when the new Taiga figure from Kadokawa comes out next month(assuming no delay) I'll be extremely nitpicky if I notice anything lacking so I get how ya feel
I think this figure would be perfect for me if her hair wasn't such a noticeable blonde. if they released a pinker version, i'd definitely have bought it.
Woah, while I love Makima's pose (flawless) her face in the ad and on the figure itself are like day and night difference to me. Seems like they pushed the eyes a lil bit lower in the final product? They also seem more squished? Man, what a bummer. :(
I don’t mind the unboxing parts of your video, but if you are going to exclude it going forward I think a review of the packaging and the pros/cons of it.
In the video, it looks like there is no light or shade on the skin. It feels as if the skin color is not painted on. What does it look like in person? I don't know if it's the right translation because I used a translator because I can't speak English.😂
You're still talking in pre-pandemic prices. Complaining about figures not having enough detail for 20K yen...the Japanese yen is super weak right now so a 20K figure is equivalent to less than a 15K figure a few years back. Perhaps cut them some slack?
I mean that's fair but Kotobukiya also has figures that cost around 15K that look extremely similar to Estelle. I'll try and consider that for next time though depending on the figure
@@ZuccoFigures Thanks for reply! I'll admit sometimes pricing is a bit all over the place. I own a GSC Shirogane Noel swimsuit that was 17k, and it is surprisingly detailed, but those are rare. I'd say if you want a lot of detail you're looking at 30k+, but anything over 20k, as long as it's from a reputable company, is still also decent.
