1. There was already adhesive on your digitizer. Placing more adhesive, you would cause the glass to not sit flush with the bezel. Also you should clean the inside bezel with alcohol and then coat with a 3M adhesive primer. 2. Before disconnecting or cutting any cables you should separate the battery contacts with a playing card so that there is no energy to the board. Even though the device is not on, energy is transferring to the board and you may damage components. Battery should all be always be disconnected first. 3. You should be very careful touching the LCD or the inside of the digitizer glass as those are often difficult to clean.
Thanks for the comment. Did the adhesive on digitizer that came with stick well for you ? Mine did not, especially when you have the kids to use it. Wear gloves to carefully work on LCD glass. If you get finger print, try use tape to tape off the print. Do not use wipe to clean the LCD. It will make it much worse.

If you've ever worked on an iPad mini you'll realize the glue on the corners arnt so bad haha to remove the lcd on this model I took a metal spatula and on the sides of the lcd next to the screw holes you'll see a foam cushion between the lcd and frame. Put your spatula right next to that foam insert and ever so slightly apply upward pressure using the frame to pry it up. Go nice and slow and it will eventually pop out.

Anybody notice that he completely ignored the Tessa tape on the new digitizer glass. Does he even know that adhesive is already there? How will this seal properly if his double-sided tape is attached to the backing of the Tessa instead of the iPad?
You should always remove battery screw and isolate battery before disconnecting any flexes, can blow backlight filter or cause other issues, this is asking for trouble, no offense, otherwise good video.
Recommend to disconnect the battery. If forgot, that's okay too. I've replaced over 500 ipad in 8 years. Never had issue with the battery stayed on. But of course, it's recommend to disconnect the battery.
Apple puts the sticky goo under the 4 LCD screw points so that they create an obstacle that only highly skilled techs can pass without breaking the LCD. Plain and simple. They'd say "Oh we put that there to add structural rigidity" or something, but there's at least 1 high skill obstacle with every screen repair for every iDevice that is designed to cause such a negative memory when the novice fails and indeed breaks their phone that they never attempt to repair their own device again.
Could it be too for some warranty bull crap that they can use as an argument If it’s been scrapped off it’s their proof that someone else opened it and did or attempt to repair the such and such will not be cover. Maybe the black goo it’s their “seal” do not tamper with
I’ve seen the screws come loose by themselves and cause problems with the touchscreen so maybe that’s something they’ve factored in too. iPads bend pretty easily and like that stuff gets torn loose I think

Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thank you!
You realize that the touch screen you replaced comed factory with adhesive already installed on it, you just have to remove the white paper you see.. so you have two layers on it now which causes a undeveloped surface aka it will shatter super easy if dropped again..
Hi do you have to take the film off the back of New glass for you to push the numbers ? I left mine on and tried to test and the lcd was going nuts . I don't know if the lcd was damaged or it is because the coating under the glass.

Same thing is happening to me! Did u figure out what happened or fix it???
You do not remove battery connection?
Nope.
Digitizer will not snap in I have bought three different ones, including one recommended by you for this version of iPad. Any reason why that would be?
Try push the cable back inside right before you close the digitizer
Man you’re awesome 😎👊🤩😎 thanks so much for this!!!!! This is much better than paying almost same price for new iPad !! Well maybe refurb lol but still 🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌
you are welcome. glad the video helped
Hello idk about model number so can MW6G2B/A fit into that screen idk sorry💙
Looks like 8th gen for MW6G2B/A. I think the screen is not the same.
Do you know if the sim card reader connector is sodered?
yes. it is sodered onto the logic board
@@UbergeeksBiz can I solder it myself or use glue?

Buen día ! Ayuda donde puedo encontrar los esquemáticos de 3sta iPad..? Para conectar el Flex de carga y conectar los pines correctamente
Thanks
Does the 3rd party screen still work with the Apple Pencil?
yes
Thanks! This went great!
PROBLEMON!
Hi if the crack of my ipad is like yours (just few cracks and no black spots on screen) it just needed to change the digitizer not including the inner lcd right? Because some of technicians here looking for too much money so some saying i need to change all including the inner lcd :(( but i had a chance that i just need to change the digitizer outer screen when i watched this
If your display is fine, just outside cracked glass. You do not need to change inside display LCD.
Yes my ipads display is fine and all working no Ghost touch. Other technicians said that they need machine to do it, i dont know what machine they are talking about because on your video you only do it manually and safe. Maybe i will share your video to them.
@@happyoutputsurprisedesign9902 I recommend to ask second opinion from another repair shop. If display is fine, do not waste money on them.
Last question my idol, if ever it is done replacing and it worked what are the risks or disadvantages to my ipad? Is it easier to break? Ps: you are my idol because you have a great and clear content plus you answer all my questions qithout hesitations. So far you are the best technician i talk💖
@@happyoutputsurprisedesign9902 After repair, just be careful with the glass. Apple original glass is much stronger. The replacement glass is much weaker and easy to crack again.
Hello after i replaced my ipad 7 screen its ghost touching even on the lcd screen do you know what i should do? It also dont respond to touch 90% of the time please help grelt vid
The sensor on the other side, (inside). Try use tape and cover it. Most likely the sensor is touch on it's own.
@@UbergeeksBiz is there a moment in your video i can see that sensor so i know where it is thanks
@@kasperdynesen3053 at 18:19 - That's the back of the glass digitizer. You see that pinkish / copperish color, that's the sensor. Try to use tape and cover them. Also the flex cable (black color), you should also cover them. Hope this helps.
@@UbergeeksBiz okay so the square linage around the screen but it still ghost when i have taken the glass off and theres only the lcd screen connected With no glass attached to it
@@kasperdynesen3053 Without that glass digitizer, your ipad touches on its own ? :Like ghost touching the ipad ? That cannot be real...lol
12:00 it is made so you break the screen while fixing it if you don't know they put it there
Exactly....
So what if I changed the lcd but the iPad won’t turn on?
More likely bad logic board
Great tutorial. Unfortunately the glass was shattered at the bottom of the iPad and the home button cable was broken when removing the broken pieces... what do you advise please?
Yikess... once the home button is broken. You'll need 3rd party home button. Which will not work as touch ID. Just a normal home button. Hope the LCD screen still in good shape for you. Cheers
@@UbergeeksBiz Thank you. Could you please post a link to buy the home button cable online in Europe? I only found it on eBay and iFixit US (no deliveries to France): fr.ifixit.com/Boutique/iPad/iPad-7-Home-Button/IF429-010?o=1.
Also, there is a possibility to recover touch ID. It requires splicing the broken home button back together by overlapping the original home button cable with a third party one and microsoldering: ua-cam.com/video/037vzfKVVTw/v-deo.html
My iPad screen started buzzing after the screen replacement... Did I do something wrong?
What do you mean by buzzing ? Like ghost touching the screen ?
@@UbergeeksBiz Sadly no...
Its a static noise coming from the screen...
@@Schnekki You mean the LCD screen has fuzzy lines ? or pixelated color ?
@@UbergeeksBiz It seems like I forgot to put back some tapes... maybe that’s the problem. Thanks anyway! 👍🏻

You are welcome.
So, everything is done right! Now, my screen works when its open but the moment the flex cable touches the screen, it doesnt work. What can i do to fix it?
Try to cover the sensor on the back of your digtizer screen. Go to my other video: ua-cam.com/video/WH7m6WjKv6s/v-deo.html play at 16:25. I explained the sensor on the back.
All seem to be done good , good video - how ever one big risk your taking is not disconnecting Battery - One CONTACT SLIP on any of the flex cables and you will be in for motherboard repair. anyone doing any repairs on any of these devices - ALWAYS Disconnect battery.
Thanks for the comment.
What exactly is a contact slip? I’ve never had any issues but I’m going to heed your warning
Well I followed the video and didn’t disconnect the battery, now it’s a black screen, can you help!
Kim are you good with multimeter ?
Safe to make at home
Good luck
Anybody notice that he completely ignored the Tessa tape on the new digitizer glass. Does he even know that adhesive is already there? How will this seal properly if his double-sided tape is attached to the backing of the Tessa instead of the iPad?
What if my screen comes with a new home button?
It makes the repair more difficult. Hoping no one else can do the repair, so this proprietary to them. Not good.
Lol you have a very negative mind set.
You make it look so ez
lol... practice makes perfect

I am following the process and have successfully removed the old screen and attached the new one. I cannot get the home button cable to insert into the zif connector though. I wonder if, when I open the little part, maybe it is not revealing the slot for inserting the cable. Does anybody have ideas about how to troubleshoot the problem? Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Home button flex cable needs to insert into the connector. There is a clipper on the connector, needs to open before insert flex cable.
A mí me dijeron que este tipo de iPads no se pueden abrir
I have a little side hustle. Thanks for the info, as it makes me look like I know what the hell I am doing.

You realize that the touch screen you replaced comed factory with adhesive already installed on it, you just have to remove the white paper you see.. so you have two layers on it now which causes a undeveloped surface aka it will shatter super easy if dropped again..
You can use the installed adhesive that comes with the new screen. Let me know how well it stick for you.
After I replace the screen, I can't turn on my iPad anymore... what did I do wrong??
Hi do you have to take the film off the back of New glass for you to push the numbers ? I left mine on and tried to test and the lcd was going nuts . I don't know if the lcd was damaged or it is because the coating under the glass.
The back film - I removed mine. If not, the screen is blurry. About the ghost touching, you want to cover the sensor. That might be the case of going nuts.

It's criminal what repair places charge for screen replacements. I ordered a screen from gadgetfix with button for $12, spent about an hour removing glass and adhesive and had a fully functional ipad with a new screen for $12 and an hour of my time vs the $200 or $300 some places charge to do the same.
Thanks for your videos
I'm glad the video helped.
For phones like a 6 plus in the Mall charging more than Apple and using a no frills 11$ part and not putting shield screws in right, yeah but when it comes to an iPad it’s a Pita and it can be a nightmare if there’s a bunch of broken glass.

Great vid but you’re supposed to block the battery prior disconnecting the lcd. Otherwise you will have a bigger repair in your hands.
