They do have limits and lots of people don’t realise that. So thank you, and to those saying he’s giving more attention to Dolly over Bonnie.. no he is giving them both the attention and safety they need and that’s individualised. Adam, you are doing great. But .. on another note… I almost had a panic attack over the way you dipped the roller into that paint hahahah

There’s nothing wrong with you being upset or being annoyed at their lack of manners and really, compassion. I’ve been to dog parks, or dog inclusive spaces, and people make it a point to return toys back to their owners.
oh dear. the paint is supposed to be poured into the tray and the roller loaded from the tray by rolling it into the paint in the tray and then the end wouldn’t drip. let it dry, then do another coat. don’t wear your good clothes it spatters. (a flat head screwdriver opens the can) if you want to use the roller again wrap it well in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator in a plastic bag.
And cleanup with water if it’s latex paint when wet and won’t clean up when dry. The red stain might be oil based paint and so may seep through the white paint.
I was slightly panic-stricken watching the painting steps go down the way they did 🙈😂. However… I say that with love - I’ve made these same mistakes Hahaha minus the tray usage. I’ve used trays and tried my hardest but I’ve definitely gotten paint on my clothes, in my hair, on my hands, dropped on the floor 🙈😂
Omg yes! Reason why I don’t take my girls to dog parks. People(some) just dumped their dogs and they’re on the phone, talking to others without a worry for their dogs. I am present for my girls! I am there to watch them, make sure they’re good all the time.

People really don't realize how brachycephalic breeds need to be handled with delicacy. They get over heated and over worked so easily. And we live in Florida! Like, it's effing hot and humid. They don't even like going out during the day lol Listening to your dog and knowing their limits is sooooo important. You're a responsible pet parent and there's nothing wrong with that!
You're a great pet parent Adam! My Boston terrier needed different care than my smooth collie and one of my rescue dogs is very different from the other. You realize that with your fur babies and serve their individual needs perfectly.

I promised my mom I would repaint all her walls in the livingroom and kitchen and REPAINT HER CEILING.. She has mobility issues, so can't do it herself and is stuck at home all day looking at her nonperfect walls, but I am 1.58m and just started my masters so am busy... You painting was the motivation I needed lol

I’ve had some really dark times where I journaled and I threw them out. (Destroyed them, actually. Shredded, lit on fire, doused with water). Sometimes it’s too painful and even traumatizing to revisit those events and that headspace. I think about those journals sometimes and wonder what memories I might have forgotten during that time, but anything I don’t remember I feel is my brain protecting me and I’m glad I got rid of those memories. Also, I love so much how you treat your animals. It’s clear you’ve done your research and individualize everyone’s care. I wish more pet owners did this. ❤

I hope you feel better soon! I can't believe it takes so long to get a pet spayed/neutered there. Especially for males. It really is so quick and easy for males. I think they should do clinics for just spay and neuters. At least one clinic a month. It's really not healthy to make them wait so long. Or safe. Especially if you're trying to keep stray populations down. So many cats escape their homes and get lost when they come into heat or males smell a female in heat and feel compelled to go after her. You know a good way to heat your tea if it cools down? Pop it into the microwave for a couple minutes. lol I love listening to the waves at night. I really like being at the beach at night when the moon is out and just watch the waves wash up on the beach. About the party. Maybe you can tell people you need an RSVP from people, so you can get people to commit.

This is the equivalent of when a kid at the park takes your kids toy.... and if the mom doesn't say something I will literally say OUT LOUD to my own child in front of the rude kid and their mother ...... "that's your toy Lincoln, go ask for it back they can't take YOUR stuff" I may even give the mon a nasty look.... teach your kid manners. And if your child (in your case animal) takes something that doesn't belong to them and doesn't return it, it's your job as the parent to take it from them AND RETURN IT.

Completely random question / advice while moving in to a new apartment.... do you have a first aid kit & fire extinguisher ? If you don't, I would very much recommend getting one. And if you do, I would very much take this time to ensure it is fully stocked, and items aren't expired. I would also check to see if there are any items that need replenishing. Please take this advice- I recently found myself in a situation where my first aid kit was an essential.... and I hadn't replenished it. I did not have what I needed and wound up calling for childcare while waiting for an ambulance. Don't be me. 💙💙
That could have been so traumatizing to both you and the dog if something bad happened to you and Dolly and some people are so inconsiderate taking your ball. I'm sorry that happened to you. You handled that whole situation great.
Hi Adam, l came here in such a roundabout way...through Swoop when she did a piece about Illuminaughti, it was good, so I watched her piece on Colleen, who I never heard of, which led me to both yours and Peter Monn's channels. I only ever used to watch true crime, lol. I just want to say you are an absolute delight, and if you didn't already have a brilliant mother, I'd want to adopt you. Even though I had to literally look away every time you dunked that roller into the paint that you didn't stir! May the guy who stole Dollys ball have an itch between his shoulder blades he cannot reach as punishment. You are the sweetest grandson EVER! Only a tacky person allows their dog to steal a toy. Shame on them. Step 1. Put a little pain in the deep part of the tray. Step 2. Roll the roller in the paint. Step 3. Roll the roller on the part of the tray which has no paint to prevent dripping. Step 4. Paint (in your case, gleefully).
Btw Adam I work for a paint company, yes painting is fun! If you spill paint, immediately spray it with windex or window cleaner while it’s still wet, and wipe it with a paper towel. It will take it right off. If you wait to long, do not try to wipe it again. Let the drips/drops dry and the next day, spray the spot with the windex and carefully use a flat head screwdriver or pallet knife to peel up the drop 😅

Hi Adam, l came here in such a roundabout way...through Swoop when she did a piece about Illuminaughti, it was good, so I watched her piece on Colleen, who I never heard of, which led me to both yours and Peter Monn's channels. I only ever used to watch true crime, lol. I just want to say you are an absolute delight, and if you didn't already have a brilliant mother, I'd want to adopt you. Even though I had to literally look away every time you dunked that roller into the paint that you didn't stir! May the guy who stole Dollys ball have an itch between his shoulder blades he cannot reach as punishment. And I'm sure your friends value you even more than we do but i admire your bravery for saying your feelings the way you do. Dont worry, i wont tell anyone. And listening to waves isn't cringe in the slightest.

As I've stated in the past, you are THE best and most responsible pet parent I am aware of, online or IRL. You have stated many times that Bonnie is a little couch potato, and she is also a different breed from Dolly, so of course caring for her would be different. And that story from the beach is SO sad 😢 ... I doubt there was any bad intentions behind it, but that dogs owner(s) was a dick.

Wait until you have to paint an entire apartment. The "fun factor" fades very quickly.
You are the sweetest grandson EVER! Only a tacky person allows their dog to steal a toy. Shame on them. Step 1. Put a little pain in the deep part of the tray. Step 2. Roll the roller in the paint. Step 3. Roll the roller on the part of the tray which has no paint to prevent dripping. Step 4. Paint (in your case, gleefully).
Fun facts , most Most people do not get Refunds back Which I think sucks! Lol
Btw Adam I work for a paint company, yes painting is fun! If you spill paint, immediately spray it with windex or window cleaner while it’s still wet, and wipe it with a paper towel. It will take it right off. If you wait to long, do not try to wipe it again. Let the drips/drops dry and the next day, spray the spot with the windex and carefully use a flat head screwdriver or pallet knife to peel up the drop 😅
