I’ve had a set of these same brakes on my 2008 JKU with 35’s for over 65k miles! Super happy with them ! Dust was never an issues and they have performed great
Auto Edits : Jason I wanted to let you know I think your videos are top class. I wish I could afford some of your modifications, but slowly and surely I may get there! Thanks for your hardwork and sharing with others. Best Regards
honestly, i installed these on my jeep a few months ago and i have no complaints but you will not notice a difference in normal driving. you will notice the difference if you are on a new jersey highway and you are constantly changing speed due to traffic they do better than OEM. unfortunately, the OEM caliber and brake system can deliver so much clamping force to a rotor. this kit won't help you stop on a dime, but if your living in a steep area or in an area where the traffic speed is constantly changing the slotting and drilling do a good job of keeping the rotors cooler than OEM and if you pair them with an alloy wheel with larger openings it helps. these will never take the place of a big brake kit with a larger master cylinder, larger calibers and larger slotted and drilled rotors. but they are still a good upgrade and way more cost effective especially in the long run.
I literally just put those Z36 on my wrangler a week ago and I love them. Love the review and it's good to know that I'll get longevity out of these. Looking forward to the ball joint video I have to do those next. My 2016 JKU has 57K on it now.
I put a set of these on my 2014 RAM. Actually I do believe your Power Stop RAM video was a huge influence on pulling the trigger on them. First impressions where WOW! Once I did the bedding procedure it was a night, and day difference between the Power Stop kit, and the OEM. The OEM pads/rotors don't hold a candle to these things. Even on just normal easy driving the stops are so much smoother, and take less pedal pressure. I'll be putting power stop kits on all my vehicles as funds allow!
So I bought mine for my jk at 68k miles, at 100k I thought they would be worn so I bought it again except with towing brakes this time. Well they weren’t even worn half way I still had 2/3 left. I just checked mine after 67k miles and just over half have worn down. I love power stop brakes, best decision I’ve made!
5:30 there is a single frame shot of you standing at the table from the beginning with the brake kit out and your head hung down. I was difficult to get it to stop on it.
I just got this exact kit and I love it! Thank you Jason! Oh, and I got it on Amazon for 280ish and with tax came to about 310ish. Most cost effective upgrade by far!
Go for the Synergy Ball Joints. They have been amazing for me. Stiff for the first 500 miles, but absolutely perfect after that. Rock solid up front now 👍
Hey Jason you have more access to the JK Nation with manual transmission highly recommend Royal Purple synchromax night and day difference manual transmission
Excellent video but I would say the Dynatrac replacement ball joints would be awesome. At least it’s what I’m planning when the time comes. I’ve also heard good things about the Teraflex ball joints but there are some good options.
For new ball joints try using Carli Suspension they make the best suspension that you can actually jump off road and it won't brake they also started making ball joints
Jason, I got the brakes on the Jeep and they are fantastic. Thank you again for the brakes and for the great videos that you put out. Keep up the great work!
Really enjoy watching your videos. Especially on the Jeep! I’ve learned quite a bit from your videos. Appreciate you making it simple for us no so savvy auto guys!
I need them. My 2015 jkur has 53,000 miles on the stock rotors. I saved up for the metalkloak lift and 37’s.. I’ll have the white version of your Jeep!
Just put 37's on my 2 door JK yesterday... got a bit of pinch seam problem but can fix... I hope.. Enjoy you video. Don't have and Instagram account but might make on because I will need the break upgrade.

Oh Auto Edits. I have these in my cart! Just waiting for the money. Now I will wait till you give them away. And if I dont win I will go to your Amazon Storefront and get them there. Thank you for this opportunity.
That’s awesome Jason. We need brakes in a bad way. Son and I have slowly been upgrading the Jeep. This is on the list. Many adventures on the bucket list. Can’t wait for the memories. Say hi to pinto and toss her the ball for us.
Nice brakes! Just upgraded to 35’s and could probably use a brake upgrade. And will have to check out your tool review as well since I’m looking for trail tools. No instagram, I’m old.
Great videos! I'm new to the Jeep world and your videos are a great source of information. They are very well done and easy to follow. Great job and thank you for posting!
Not just related to brakes, but I've watched all your jeep videos and I've got a question. If you did it over again, would you still start with a Rubicon? I noticed in this video you have the Rubicon sticker removed. Obviously Rubicons are the best if someone keeps their Jeep stock, but if not, could it be more cost-effective to start with the sport model? Other than the locking differentials and the beefier front axle housing (and the cool name), is there anything Rubicon specific from the factory that you still use on your Jeep?
@@AutoEdits Great to know, thanks! I was leaning the same way. Now the toughest decision is whether to wait for the Gladiator or go with the wrangler Great videos! All the best
posted on IG. Been looking at the powerstop kit for a while. just replaced my ball joints at 130,000 miles. Maybe too long to wait..... your videos are great. Can Pinto come over to assist in putting on the kit?
curious if there is any concern running slotted and drilled rotors off road through muddy terrain? I would think there could be some debris getting lodged in the grooves and slots and scoring the pads. Just asking because I am about to get the 3.5 game changer fox edition kit installed with 35's, so I am looking at brakes next.
I would really appreciate them. I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler jku Sport and those would really help stop it with the lift and bigger tires. I was going to buy this set up with my tax return but I get to pay in an addition $850. Thanks for all the great videos! I have been a subscriber since I purchased my Jeep.
Would love this, been on this channel for so long and ive never won a giveaway lol! Keep up the amazing work jason as always not to mention the merch !
Hey, it's time for the Pinto and Jason show! Looking good! Would luv to say mail the kit to me, however, I just had a new set put on last spring. I'm sure someone out there can use it.
Another good vid i look forward to your videos i know someone will love the break setup they get again thanks for inspiring me to get a jeep and build it up myself in my garage well my 1 and a half year old son does most of the work haha but we have a great time jeepin all because of you brotha
Hey love your vids, have a question does JKs have a solid front axle, if so With difflocks engaged is is possible to steer without damaging locked front differentials?
How do those slotted and drilled rotors do when you've gotten them hot and then enter a creek? Or get some mud inside the vanes? I've never heard any good about slotted and drilled rotors when it comes to off road use.
Hey Jason, great videos! You’re the reason I’m running Metal Cloak Overline Fenders. Question: you are saying you were considering changing the whole kit, pads and rotors. Do you normally do that versus just replacing the pads?
I've got 15k on PowerStop Z36 for my JKU on 37s & imo, best brake bang for your buck & highly recommended it. My one & only regret is purchasing from JC Whitney. I know you have a mutual relationship with them & I'm sure they see to it that you're taken care of but for a regular Joe like me, by far the absolute worst customer service nightmare I've ever had to deal with. They erroneously sent me a kit for a Yukon & the rabbit hole I found myself in to rectify that situation was mind numbing. I was stuck in this never ending loop as I was passed from one rep to the next. It took nearly a 3 weeks & a dozen calls just to get them to send me an RMA label. Their whole call center staff needs to be retrained! Wish I had Googled them prior to purchasing because I would've learned that I'm only one of literally dozens that have had similar experiences with them.
I feel your pain! They sent me calipers for a Silverado. I got caught in the same never ending loop, chasing my tail. I actually gave up. It was easier for me to sell the wrong calipers they sent me & then purchase the correct calipers elsewhere.
Sorry I'm a noob so the ball joints shouldn't move when I do that and how do I follow the facebook for contest?? Still waiting on the engine cleaning video lol! Love the channel and journey!
