Rest in peace, Mr Hall. My personal jazz guitar Idol. I’m a Spanish classical guitarist that always will admire Jim. Magister. If only I could... Almighty Guitar God. My deepest respect for your legacy.
I was fortunate to study Jim Hall's style back in 1982 .... I was just a mere beginner at 8 years of playing ... took me 4 months to transcribe & copy note for note a 2 -3 minute part of " You'd Be So Nice to Come Home to " from the Concierto Album ..... He's Brilliant and VERy UNIQUE to say the least !!
I have the honour to be michel's brothers friend and as a pianist have played many concerts with him. I am in total awe of michel's pure brilliance and wish I had met him. check out his brother LOUIS petrucciani...he's amazing too xxx

The duo album of Michel and Louis is amazing
Unbeliavable. Out-of-this-world.
Great players! I like the way Jim played through his stumble @ 2:02.
Wow... Amazing
Michel on t'aime!
Hell yeah man
The title "Careful" for this song was chosen by the composer jim hall, because it's a blues NOT in 12 bars :D
Also because the initial motive seems to say... "be care-ful!"
Why do not we have more than 5 stars here for rating?
I'm looking for bimini played by the trio (part of this record)...anyone have it?
