Rajasthan has nearly 25,000 registered migrants from Pakistan, with the maximum-18,000-living in settlements in Jodhpur. Many have pinned their hopes on becoming Indian nationals under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. However, under the CAA rules, notified in March this year, only those who arrived before 31 December 2014 will benefit, excluding a chunk of the migrants. Now, demands for an extension or removal of the cutoff date and fresh calls for basic amenities are doing the rounds in the ssettlements. ThePrint's Neelam Pandey and Devesh Singh report from Jodhpur

irrespective of when they entered India, they should be given citizenship. Meanwhile lots of rohingyas have settled illegally and got adhaar card in India

I am not only a supporter of Partition (of India) but a champion and I consider it very essential. I find Savarkar's demand for an undivided nation (Akhand Bharat) with both Hindus and Muslims living together a very novice thinking. My only pre-condition is that every single Muslim must be moved to Pakistan and every single Hindu must be moved to India otherwise new nation will never be a stable nation which is an essential condition for progress and development. (BR Ambedkar in the book on Pakistan and Partition of India, written 7 years before actual partition. He remained supportive of this statement till the actual partition)
Are Bhai Pure Muslim / Pure Hindu state ≠ Development. We already saw that in Pakistan. If a pure Hindu state is created, all problems won't be automatically solved. What about the Northeastern Christian tribes, seperate state for them ? What about the Christians and Muslims in Kerala, who arrived mostly by trade and not conquest, are you suggesting them to travel all the way to Pakistan ? Or create a new country in South for Muslims ? My friend, Hindus and Muslims have been living side by side geographically for 300+ years. You can't just tell them to "Get Out". What about the Hindus who lost their ancestral land in Sindh ? The idea of a separate pure Hindu and Muslim (and Christian) Nation is boinkers and unreasonable due to logistics. That's why even in our timeline, when partition was partial, it was consumed by so much violence.
Besides, let's say, somehow we create a Hindu state. Now there will arise problems... Based on caste and linguistic identities. Are Sikhs Hindus ? Buddhists ? Jains ? In today's timeline, we might consider them Hindus... But no matter how much you try to Homogenise society, cracks will always appear. It did in Pakistan based on Linguistics, and we all know about Ahmaddiyas

I have two questions to those who made similar comments.
1. Let's say you moved. After that if someone decided to change his or her religion. Will u send him / her? Or will you say we should not use our brain and do not think about ways to reach God? If another budha or maha veera came out of Hinduism you will push him out of this country? Obviously you can not send him to pakisthan as he is not Muslim.
2. Let's say you made a pure Hindu country. And does that mean we all will think the same way? You have pakisthan as example... What happened to that country? In a Hindu pakisthan, do you think you will not have any "other"? We wll still fight. I am a Hindu Nair. When all non Hindus go away i ll find a Hindu ezhava as my "other".
Come on. There is onpy one way you can live in this world. That is through co existence.
Regarding CAA, i think we should stick to Nehru liaquat treaty. And minoritues from pakisthan and Bangladesh should be allowed to get into India.
