Anyone criticizing glass door doesn’t realize there are locks on exterior doors,& in that small of space you have to be really comfortable with your camping buddy anyways. Opens up the look of camper to boot. Great work, love how you talk over work ,it really pays off for viewers.
You are a true craftsman, Steve. Keep up the good work. It makes sense using the glass door since you don't really need to use the curtain to shower. They have a frosted window tint you could put on the door that would add more privacy. I put it on my garage door to keep prying eyes from inventorying my garage. That van is so nice.
Without hesitation I can say your xplorer is THE nicest 20 year old rv in the world. Every modification and upgrade are well thought about and executed with highest quality workmanship.
Like the shower /rest room upgrade, the colored lights, really do, add an awesome effect to the shower /rest room! 👍👍👍! Thanks for sharing this with us. Eric Sulen, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I'm pretty sure if awards were given for "resto-modding" camper vans, you would end up winning. Together with the kitchen mods and everything you've done to the exterior, this thing looks phenomenal. And as far as the showering is concerned, I camp in a Toyota 4Runner and use the boiling water/weed sprayer/shower enclosure setup. It works a lot better than I expected. I camp mostly at mountain bike destinations, so cleaning the dirt and scum off of me after a ride is an absolute must.
The bathroom looks great. Changing light colors is fancy smansy. Thank you for saying exactly what you use. Even saying what tools and where you got them.
Nice mod. You shaved weight, which people often forget is a huge issue, and you made the space feel much more open. Those pass through areas of campers always make it feel so small. Even when we had our 33' Class A, it felt tiny towards the back because of that choke point.
You did a beautiful job. For me personally, it needs to be WAY more opaque. I'm sure the "girl child" will want more privacy, even with the shower curtain, if she camps with you again. 😉 Good work!
I really love that glass door look. You did a great job!!! I found your channel searching for an interior view of this exact van because I found one for sale.
Looks awesome. You could use a frost window "tint" on the bottom third of the door to obscure the toilet and sink. It would give the visual openness up top and eliminate the visual distractions down below.
Very cool door Steve, Justin would be proud , Even if you're camping alone you may wanna close the curtains at least on the passenger side someone could look in and watch you sending a fax:
i liked the blue or the creepy green lights the best. With a bathroom as clean as that one, who cares that you can see inside? Plus the shower curtain is still there as pointed out. Fantastic job as usual.
I added my shower to the front steps in my short bus. I use it either inside or outside and to wah things outdoors. I also visit community centers ec. The issue is not a shower it is dragging around and replacing water. My videos are frequently about travelling nearly full time. Your shover is great with hook ups or weekend trips where sorcing water is not an inconvenuence :)
I Totally agree with having your own bathroom in your van there are some things I just don't want to share with strangers on a regular basis! I also love the look of this glass shower door it makes the whole space seem roomier and a lil classy (esp. the mood lighting lol!!)
Looks good! Really modernizes the interior. One thing about commercial wet-baths I don't understand is the sink. Why do we need a sink in there when the Kitchen sink is 3 feet away? Just takes up more of what little space there is! I was just thinking...Didn't Justin C do that to his? I see he just sold his latest Van for $50k...you guys really have this Van thing down!
Hi Steve, your carpentry/tool skills are reminiscent of my grandpa. Like you, he had a garage full of woodworking saws, drill presses, sanders among other sorts of machines I'm not familiar with. Awesome! Great job my friend.
I doubt it. You probably have an assortment of trusted gyms and friends, being static and all. When I went on a road trip with the daughter, she wanted to wash her long hair daily and so we stayed at RV parks a lot. Let me tell ya. The quality of facilities while traveling can vary greatly.
Another fantastic upgrade by Xplorer Steve! I like the lights! -How about a frosted shower glass door with an Ocean or Cosmic light projector to be projected on the frosted glass?
Talking of colored lights: I'm "green" with envy. Your rig sure looks nice. What kind of coach batteries do you have? If not lithium, have you considered that?
I think showcasing the bathroom with that cool door makes sense. It would be different if you had an ugly bathroom, which you dont. Nice work and I like the light variation. Can you tell me how many miles were on your van when you purchased it? Also do you find this vehicle reliable or does it require a lot of mechanical maintenance? Thank you

Exactly
"I like it!" Is the only justification needed!
Very nice!
Yes. Sometimes wanting it is justification enough.

I xplore solo so no need for privacy. If I find a gf, still no need for privacy. ha.
I like the commentary style of this video. Made it easier for me to watch.
Steve has a great delivery on his videos!

Hell yea the old ones still go for like 20-30k while other camper vans are 3k
Awesome layout
Nice clean work. I like the way it opens up the space, visually. I love my van shower as well.
Good job, Steve. The mood lighting will help when you are camping in it after a long drive.
Like the shower /rest room upgrade, the colored lights, really do, add an awesome effect to the shower /rest room! 👍👍👍! Thanks for sharing this with us. Eric Sulen, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
also.looks roomier and less conjested.more spacious.great job

Hey, Do I know you? Ha Thanks J.
@@XplorerSteveDIY hey, we can film at HF again, lol.
Looks pretty good Steve. Glad the curtain is in there! Clean install as always.
Looks great! Makes the van seem bigger inside. Awesome job

A disco shower! You are awesome disco Steve!
"Color lights can hypnotize. Sparkle someone else's eyes. Now woman...."
Very well done video and narration! Looks so much better than the original doors.
I love the way you work ! So meticulous.
I was skeptical until I saw it finished. Looks great. Opens up the entire van.
I really love that glass door look. You did a great job!!!

I like this idea! That's what I would do!
That’s very stylish that you wear the same brand trousers and shirt. Classy.
that looks one million times better.
I love how meticulous you are in your videos. And it looks great. I bet having that soft light coming through the door in the evenings is fantastic.
That Xplorer upgrade looks great .
Gives it a master bedroom bath look, great job!
Good job Steve.
Looks great.

I also didn't like those closet doors for the bath. The shower door looks much nicer. Thumbs up.
Great job! I think it makes it look more modern.
Looks great. Super modern compared to the original doors.
Man, that is nice. Next time, do a video for changing carpet too. I love hardwood floor.

I love your "Upgrade" videos, Steve! I appreciate your attention to detail too! Happy trails!
Wow, looks 100% better
Great video, like your channel gives a lot of ideas. I always see the sprinter Van's with mud tires. Maybe one day I'll buy one.
Nice job, looks great! 👍
Love your Explorer......
TOTALLY AWESOME Steve !!!! 2 "Thumbs Up" :) :) excellent job, and a PLUS for "lightening the weight" of the Explorer as well ... a WIN/WIN for you !!!
Looks great Steve!!

Looks fantastic!
Love it, very nice, and so love your van too👌👌👌👌🤗

OMG that's Amazing your good 👍♥️😀
Great install
Maybe a decorative frosted design would add a bit of privacy and also hide the commode. I dont know, just my two centavos.
This One01 Yeah Steve etch that glass with a decorative design . Frost the bottom to hide the crapper.👍
I like the upgrade.
Real nice Steve!
Nice job! I always enjoy watching your videos.
Great job it is amazing how small upgrades changes the look inside

You always do great work Steve great craftsmanship thanks for the video. You're the best.
Nice classy upgrade!
I wish my van had a shower. I smell so very, very bad.
I doubt it. You probably have an assortment of trusted gyms and friends, being static and all. When I went on a road trip with the daughter, she wanted to wash her long hair daily and so we stayed at RV parks a lot. Let me tell ya. The quality of facilities while traveling can vary greatly.
Xplorer Steve back at it with the Under Armour gear!!! 👍 love to see it!
Looks great!
That looks great. How about an Explorer Steve etched logo on the glass?
Vantastic!!!👍👍👍👍 I sense a new channel forming???😂😂😂
Awesome job Steve.
I remember a certain Canadian doing this once.
Looks good nice job, Steve

Nice job,Steve.
It looks very professional.

Excellent!
Great job Steve! Didn't like the factory melamine doors either. Nice upgrade:)
Nice job!
Another fantastic upgrade by Xplorer Steve! I like the lights! -How about a frosted shower glass door with an Ocean or Cosmic light projector to be projected on the frosted glass?
Meticulous as always, Mr. Handy Guy. Shades of Dora, JCTV’s old van. Sweet!
Wow it looks much better.
You have 5/5 top level meme magic despite being middle aged asian man. It's almost unbelievable.
Talking of colored lights: I'm "green" with envy. Your rig sure looks nice. What kind of coach batteries do you have? If not lithium, have you considered that?
Oh my, you are so handy in the shower 🙂
Forgive me, I’m just being silly today 🤪
It’s really a nice improvement.
He put in disc lighting 💃🏼
Nice job Steve. Very professional! Your attention to detail is like mine excellent 😂😂👍🏻✌🏻️
Awesome Be proud.
I shower at the gym all the time. I always wear shower shoes. Anytime fitness you get the bathroom to your self. Lock the door behind you.
I never seen cleaner van like yours, U almost as good then I'm:)) thanx for keeping cleen everything:)
Den off tools is going to give away all HF tools after today’s trip!
HF is starting to act like one of the big boys.
Xplorer Steve DIY Kodak tried that route
Wow, excellent job Steve...me likey very much 👍👌😎✌🏻
would look cool if you painted all the wood trim that titanium color
Great job Steve!
I Like It !!
real nice job steave thank you.

Right around 30k. It has been reliable mechanically. The RV part takes maintenance.
If I heard you right the weight savings was about 20 lbs. That was surprising to me.
I agree, a shower is a necessity
Your mascot has feeling disturbia a bit, but 🤠
Nice modification. You're still not living the good-life though until you install a Disco Globe and a Strobe in that can.
Again another clean installation and liked the attention to details. Have you ever Showered in the Gym? Oh how I only did it when I had to, Lol.
Great video and install do you think you will need to add a latch so it doesn’t come open when driving
Fancy!
Well done.
