Can you help me add Dish Network 110 and 119. Mine does not have it in the list. I'd like to use it to get best signal strength and satellite installation. It's hard to find a good guide for this. I live in Dillingham, Alaska
@@RobbieStrike great video! I bought it and couldn't get it to lock onto the 119W Bird. Searching the web I found this educational video of yours. The Birdog I've had worked fine until recently and that's why I bought this. I used the Lyngsat info with transponders in the 12000 range and couldn't get a lock. Then I ran a search and it found a bunch of transponders in the 3000 range. I couldn't find any info about those transponders and don't know if can use them to point the dish. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Hello sir I need ur help I have this kind of satellite finder v8 but I have changed on over voltage and integrated circuit had been destroyed I need to replace to new one but I don't know the number or capacity of it please can you tell me that capacity

Still trying to find a box to move my dish - SKYBOX F3 SAYS ITS MOVING THE DISH BUT DOESNT - DUNNO WHAT CAN BE WRONG AS I CAN MOVE THE DISH MANUALLY USING THE BUTTONS ON THE MOTOR BUT ITS A PAIN TO DO AS ITS ON MY ROOF!
Some tips. I wire mine up with a second sat finder so I can hear buzz when I hit something. Change the battery after each use. It does help and make things easier BUT it still takes time to find the sats.
I just bought a Shaw Direct Satellite dish and want to use it out camping. I have been able to aim it with a simple satellite signal finder but it is a pain. I have bought a V9 Digital Meter like you have but have no idea how to enter the Shaw Satellite into it so I can aim my dish. Can you help me out with the settings and how to do it ? Cheers.
There is two different lnb types with the Shaw Direct dish. I believe that one uses a 10600 setting for the newer ones antilock 107 West you want to turn your 22k switch off. And you'll need a reference frequency look up on lyngsat. So what I'd recommend is go to a dish that's already setup scan it in and you won't find any channels because they use a different type of digital mode
I was wondering if you can help me, i have one of these a gift, and i know it has a type f connector for the aerial, now i was wondering if i get a scanner aerial and connect it to that i could have a portable unit. but i would need an adaptor, i tried to ask someone else but their answer was very terse and they didnt explain it just said it was a f type .

If you buy it from Europe then it has all the European satellites. And another tip, make sure you update the transponder, symbol rate and polarization. Some transponders are outdated and no longer work. Go to www.lyngsat.com and from there you can update the transponder or add new satellites.
The satellite list in mine seems to only be set for C band, regardless of what satellite I select. Is there a newer satellite list some where? My menus also look different from yours.
Hello Dear, do I need a receiver with this satfinder? And when I do, then which one do you recommend to me from GTmedia? Also which other tools do I need to make it work perfectly with my PLASMA TV ? Kind Regards
I think the problem with this one is, if you use it as a sat finder you will have to add a transponder first otherwise if it is your first time finding a signal from a satellite and you just select the satellite from the list without entering the transponder information for this satellite, the signal bar and quality will be just 0. Even if the dish has pointed at the right satellite. This is really bad and not good as a signal finder. It doesn't beeb when you are closer to the satellite etc... so its is more of a portable satellite receiver than a signal sat finder.
Sound familiar. I dove to the deep end on with satellites and bought 4 lnb dish and Satxtrem version of V8 finder. The finder is pretty much useless. It usually shows signal 40-50% and no lock.Since I'm beginner, I don't know about responders so I just select universal. With some luck, I have been able to get signal from 1/4 lnb. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I even tested the finder at friends home where he has good reception with 2 lnb's, I couldn't get my V8 finder to show anything than the normal ~40%. Now I have no idea is the SatXtrem version a knock off or just rebranded GTmedia. They do look identical, but I don't know about software update since there is no SaXtrem webpage.
In your video on the Orby, you wanted to have the Orby system. Since you can receive it at your location via this signal meter. I'm sure if you acquired a Orby receiver that you could get there full service.
