Minelab Equinox - 6 Inch Coil vs 11 Inch Coil - Metal Detecting a Bush Dump Site
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 бер 2022
- In this video I compare the 11" coil to the 6" coil, and show how the 6" coil excels in areas of high target density such as bush dump sites!
We find some cool relics along the way, and some really angry ants!
Check out the video!

Also check out The Coffee Bush Kid - he has some amazing videos in the Central Victorian goldfields, finding all kinds of amazing relics, tokens and coins using the 6" coil!

Great video! I had not really thought I would benefit from a six inch coil, but after watching this, I definitely think I need this in my arsenal. As always, your videos are very educational and well done. Thanks.
Great little coils, nox 800/ 900.
Indeed!
I bought a 6" ages ago, but haven't used it much, gunna give it more of a chance, great vid👌👍🇦🇺
It's well worth giving it a go, especially if you have some trashy sites to visit. or rocky beaches etc. Good luck!
G'day mate,, The 6inch ciol are amazing now my Mrs got that one ,,lol,,
Now I got the 10x5 coil that just us good like the 6inch ,, great video thanks for sharing Steve
Thanks Tony. I’ve heard the 10x5 is a ripper! I might end up getting one myself.
Excellent video , saludos desde Santiago de Chile..
Great video. Very informative.
Thanks Nick - I'm glad you found it useful!
Just what I was looking for. I just bought the six inch because of so many targets. I was told a good signal in the middle of a bunch of bad ones is probably trash. Think of the things I've missed
The 6" coil changes the game completely in trashy areas. Go back to those trashy sites with the 6" and hit them again - you'll be amazed at how differently things will sound!
The army button reads like that because the eye where it's sown on is iron mate
Yep - it’s all about the angle the detector hits it at, and what side of the button it hits.
Hi, first of all, nice video exinos 800 for you, which mode should be deeper, how should the settings be in a single money, regards, from turkey
To look deeper, I'd suggest lowering the recovery speed, and swinging the coil slowly. You could also increase sensitivity, and ground balance the machine. Good luck!
What sort of target registers as a 19? Love the rock target marker idea!
Can be anything from a bottle cap, slag, lead, aluminium off cuts, or sixpence, shilling, ring etc (depending on their condition and orientation in the ground). If it’s a solid repeatable signal, I generally dig them because my curiosity won’t let me leave them behind… 😀
@@coilsandcoinsdetecting Thank you.
Too much time on the 11 inch coil. Let’s get on with the 6 inch
Agree - the 6” coil is a beast!
Gaday from Lonnie
Hey! How's it going Rick!
I have an 8 inch? on my Vanquish and a 6 in coming for my Equinox 700
Good move - it’s an awesome little coil in trashy areas!
What 6 inch do you have on your vanquish?
@blown6976 the one that comes with the Vanquish pro pack.
Okay, I shall invest in a 6" but what about the 15" ? are they any good ?
I don’t have a 15” coil, but I imagine they’d be great for hunting large areas with few targets. I’ve heard they also give more depth, but I’m not sure about that…
@@coilsandcoinsdetecting Many thanks, keep the vids coming, I love your stuff 👍
Where did you get the 6 inch coil? Thanks
Amazon has them for $179. Still in stock.
You should be able to get one online, or from your nearest Minelab stockist. I got mine from Miner's Den here in Australia.
